Hello, from Madagascar! My daughter is a huge fan of your channel, and she insisted that I see what her favorite youtuber is all about. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. I feel smarter just watching this. Thank you, New Creation Clips, for keeping this mother informed.

Lake Michigan will always hold my heart. I have driven past or clambored around on those morains hundreds of times but didn't realize those hills were what made the lake what it is instead of just flowing off to join the Ohio or Mississippi Rivers. I also had heard that the ground was still rebounding from the glaciation, so was surprised to learn we're settling back a bit currently. Thanks for taking the time to explain this to us!

Same, my mom taught me how to find crinoids at the Lake when I was a kid. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

I think it’s a good idea to have a rebrand of your channel so it’s more specific to what you are trying to achieve. Well done and I hope the bulk of your 1.4K subs also subscribe to this!
One question. I find the science here interesting (thank you for that). But how would it justify a young earth view and preclude an old earth timeline? It seems to me either world views could be argued though for me the bulk of all the evidence sits with the old earth view.

Hi @ianchenofficial thanks so much for watching! You are right that the science I related in this particular video isn't particularly viewpoint specific. I found that I didn't need to get specific about the timeline to meet my goals with the video. My first goal with this video was to communicate to other young earth creationists that the Ice Age was a real event. It is surprising how many lay people either don't know that it happened or are unsure if they can believe it as creationists. Secondly, I wanted to demonstrate that Noah's Flood was not the only event responsible for shaping the earth's surface. I wanted to emphasize that there were geological process after the Flood, and ongoing ones today which are still affecting the earth's geology.
Personally, I think the main piece of evidence regarding the Ice Age that is difficult to account for from a YEC perspective are the many glacial recessions and expansions. As you point out, this is explained by an old earth timeline as many successive Ice Ages interspersed by interglacial periods. From a young earth perspective, these need to be much more rapid glacial expansions and recessions, lasting only a relatively small number of years each. I'd love to dig more into that in the future, so maybe that is a future video topic!

@@NewCreationClips nothing wrong with communicating the science. Which you do admirably!

Well, Warmer oceans post flood made it possible for the snow across the continent...as far as successive ice ages.... my theory is like last winter in North America.... if the extra frigid air from Siberia, spills over into North America, it snows in Texas....
Remember a few years before that, when the windmills (wrong oil lubricant was used) froze and the electric went out for some of the southern states.
People froze to death while they were sleeping and their pipes burst.
The earth goes though cycles of warming and cooling.
In addition warmer oceans post flood, there was also more volcanism.
Even within relatively recent History we have observed the effect Volcanic ash can have on the earth's climate.
"1816, also known as the ‘Year Without Summer,’"
"The eruption of Mount Tambora in Indonesia in 1815 triggered a change in the global climate."
"... lighter particulates reached the stratosphere, they spread out and created an aerosol cloud the size of Australia. The cloud blocked sunlight from reaching the earth and changed the global climate by 2-7 degrees Fahrenheit, the effects of which devastated much of the world in what should have been the summer of 1816. Crops failed across Europe and the U.S. due to the cold or lack of sunshine..."
Quote from article titled "1816 - The Year Without Summer" by the National Park Service
But the evidence that the land is still springing up and the knobs and valleys, was new to me.
      Good research :)
