Thanks for making these! I bought two for two different Seydels (session steel and 1847) and both work well and make my harp easier to bend and more airtight. (I use alternate tunings so I got the plates gaskets that work for those). Thanks!
as mentioned by others, would be nice to see these also offered for the Seydel 12 hole, Solist Pro 12 harps, in both the Low Octave tuning (AKA Steve Baker tuning) and Solo tuning configurations.
These will be amazing for low-tuned harps! With the valves stopping air leakage thru slots, is it fair to assume they will make bends more responsive? Similar to tightening the blow gap to make the draw bend easier?
Hi Brendan, It's great to see these valves back in production! Another bygone product(s) I'd be psyched to see return is the CX-12 slide and comb. Do you think these products will come back around? Cheers
TBH this isn't likely to happen unless I could find someone to do the extensive hand work involved in sanding/glueing combs and sanding sliders to the correct thickness.
i'm very curious about how you make these, would you be willing to share what material you use and how you cut them out? no worries if theyre trade secrets lol, youve gotta make money
This is really cool. I would love to buy these for Lucky 13 harmonicas ( regular breathing pattern, powerbender). Will they be available for Lucky 13 harminicas? NB: Thank you for a nice harmonica course at Seydel i March:) . Br from Jacob Vium
@@BrendanPowerMusic I have to admit, I don't play chromatic much but even opening a CX-12 to clean is daunting when I see ten screws and untold valves. 🧐
Hey Brendan..!!! I was wanting to get my father (92 years old) a new harmonica. He used to play and still has an old harmonica. ( it has a few problems as old as it is ) There are some health issues and they are having him blow into a bottle for lung exercises and my sister thought that a harmonica may be a fun exercise for him. Can you let me know which harmonica is an easy to play harmonica for someone with lower lung capacity ? Been watching you for a long time. Thank you for any input...!!! If any of you read this, I would love your input as well... Thank you !!!!!
Sorry that I did not see your message earlier, and I hope that I am not too late. There are two harmonicas built specifically for people with lung issues: the Seydel Pulmonica and the Seydel Schaman-Medical Harmonica. Both can be found on the web site for Seydel harmonicas and both are rather expensive. Since he previously played harmonica, I can recommend a more conventional (and less expensive) alternative that is easy and very intuitive to play: the Seydel EDharmonica.
@docsharmonicablues Hello "docsharmonicablues"...!!! No, you are not to late..!!!! Thank you for the reply...!!! I am going to check out the recommendations you just pointed out. I will let you know how it turns out... (just subscribed to your page as well) Thanks again..!!!
wOw that was well done Brendan. 'Must get some valves for my sick harps

I've watched about 100 of your videos. They are all great. Would like to buy the gasket valve sets. Could you please send ordering info.
What's the possibility of making one for the Seydel Dolo 12?

How is this not available for your lucky 13?
Are these made from self adhesive PTFE strips? This is exceedingly cool!
How come you don’t ship to Thailand?
@@MatthewSummers-q4j We only take payment via PayPal, and unfortunately they don't accept payments from Thailand

Thanks Jacob! Yes, they will be coming available for Lucky 13 soon :)
Do these work for any harmonica?
Todas mis armonicas son de la serie Marine Band (Deluxe y Crossover)
Im going to ask you because i haven't seen any attempts. Can i heat up the stainless steel cover plates to color them or would it warp the 24 gauge?
Next something for chromatic harps please, them pesky valves area scary. 😱
I will be releasing the new Gasket-valves for valveless chromatics like the Easttop Forerunner and 10- hole chroms like the Kmise.

@@BrendanPowerMusic Terrific news. I've been playing the Forerunner 2 and would appreciate an easy valve solution. I'll keep a lookout.
@@BrendanPowerMusic Are these still in the making? Would be great for my Forerunner 2!
