This is a gem! I've been listening to Cameo since the late 70s, but since I didn't have all of their albums, I keep finding new song treasures. Trumpets always get me, and I love the lush piano intro. I sure miss the bands and the way they used to show off, instrumentally.

I horns in this song are awesome!!!...Take some lesson new school the music is just as important as the vocals. You could shut the vocals down and still groove to this.
Except that those from Cameo were REAL members, part of Cameo; while the so-called "phoenix horns" were playing horns for Earth, Wind & Fire (until late 1982); but were not part of the group; the only real member who played brass was Andrew Woolfolk ... and still : it was tenor sax. Even though Cameo became downsized by half, as early as 1982; they had real trumpet and trombone players until the end of 1981
TC, you really did your thing on the intro. I really like the style.. I am a drummer in an up and coming group and our style is sort of like the old Cameo with the up beat and Jazz combined.

Groups such as Cameo were really the best; just listen to that : harmony in everything, everything is perfectly coordinated to make you like it: vocal harmonies, the horns, the different kinds of percussions (drums,handclaps,cow bells ...etc),the bass line;and sthg. particularly special to Cameo: these weird and funny synthesizers's sounds
