I do not know why Gaylord is only G as it is obviously much harder
Yes for sure and much more risky!
They don’t want to encourage that skill. it’s very dangerous and the presence of the low bar makes it nearly impossible to get enough power to do it safely.
This makes no sense to me. If the nabieva is an F rated skill then how is the derwal 2 only a G? itsthe same skill with a half turn it should at least be equal in value. I wonder if they are already planning to down grade the Nabieva
To get credit they have to initiate the turn in the air. If done right, it's much harder.
Nina does not get credit in the 22-24 code of points because she doesn't turn in the air.... she obviously no longer performs this.
@@anthonyvhoyos Yes i understand that. but the actual rating given in the COP should be equal to at least the lesser skill. I totally get that things get downgraded because of how well its completed.
@@anthonyvhoyos but even down graded then it should still be rated the same as the non twisting layout as a nabeiva. Skills have always increased with each 1/2 twist so I still dont understand how the twisting skill is less than the layout. I have been a gymnast and followed the sport for 40 years and the overall skill rating for these two skill does not make sense.
@erinames7783 I don't think I'm understanding.... the 1/2 twisting layout is a G(.7) and the Layout is F(.6). If it doesn't twist it just gets downgraded (.1) it doesn't become less than the root skill.
