32:44 Luke's Land Speeder?? Lol. Great footage. Yes, I love the Bob Hope Airport. I like how the planes are as big as the buildings. So small. No fuss, No muss. Way chill. Thank you for sharing.
I'll have mixed emotions when the old school Burbank terminal is replaced! The new terminal is estimated to open up in late 2026 and the old one will be demolished within 12 months of the new one opening up. I hope the ease and convenience of the current terminal is brought to the new one. But this airport is in major need of an upgrade so I am glad to see that it is happening.
Burbank airport always give me the Walt nostalgic feels. Pretty easy access but the steep landing and takeoff trajectory can be a bit of a clincher during poor weather.
@@TheDailyWooThe CRJ700 seats 69- 79 passengers depending on airline, and by the way foot traffic passed you in the aisle I say you were in First Class A section.
That scene after boarding the plane where your feet couldn’t extend forward because of the wall in front of you with stainless steel at the bottom was hilarious 😆 😂🤣 I laughed so hard 😂……unfortunately no red shoe found. I really enjoy your content !! Keep up the great work !!! 👍👏
So, the planes you were on Adam, are called regional jets. They are pure workhorses for a lot of different airlines. They are some of the most reliable jets you can fly in. The noises you were hearing were actually the fan blades in the engines, breaking the sound barrier. On the bigger jets the sound comes across as more of a buzzing. Normally after takeoff the noise goes away as take off power is reduced to cruising speed. Hope that helps!
Yesss. I’m a regional flight attendant and it makes me sad when people come on our planes like “oh my god. This is the smallest plane ever”. I always tell them that it doesn’t matter the size, as long as it gets you there 😂😂😂 We fly the E175. 76 seats. It’s not THAT small. Crjs are smaller but just because it’s smaller doesn’t mean it’s less safe.
I was alarmed also at that shrill. I flew this same type of regional jet from Fort Wayne to Chicago Ohair and had a beautiful ride until the pilot banked the jet to line up to land. Tremendous G force pushing us down for 10 seconds.
Burbank is a good small airport. You can't fly non stop from nyc lga past Denver non stop lga is my favorite airport in nyc .I have to use nwk or jfk to fly non stop . The most beautiful is palm springs airport with outside lobby
Love your videos, Always relaxing and interesting. Another great less congested airport is Long Beach- LGB. You can even fly nonstop, long beach to Honolulu on Hawaiian Air from the Long Beach airport
Don’t worry Adam that was totally normal for a Phoenix takeoff or landing. Yes it might have been just a little more with the small plane but with the winds coming up and over the surrounding mountains it does get bumpy.
When my parents lived in Ocala, I would sometimes fly into Gainesville from North Carolina on the same type of jets. The Gainesville airport only had a gift cart and, the two jet bridges are only 3 feet above the ground. You can even park next to the terminal building. Through 2016 the parking was FREE. Just a little trivia about a place near Adam. Have a good trip!
Isn't the Burbank airport the coolest? The outdoor baggage claim, the short walk to the gates. We got stuck there in January when our flight was delayed and we would miss our connection. They ended up paying to taxi us to LAX and put us up for the night to get back to Orlando. No openings on any flight the next day from Burbank. LAX sucks!
We picked Burbank to fly into last July when we visited Disneyland and DCA. Loved the airport, had a burger at Guy Fieri's. Only one bummer about it, they are SERIOUS about the 10 pm quite thing, if you're plane ain't off the ground buy 10, you ain't leavin till tomorrow!
APU = Auxiliary Power Unit. It's like a little mini-engine that runs before and during boarding and provides just enough energy to run the lights, air, and cockpit instruments during pre-flight activities until they are ready to start the engines.
Burbank is so much better then LAX. Try next time if you can American Airlines to Dallas then on to Burbank. The plane is bigger lol.... Also it's a bit of a walk to get your car but so much better then taking a shuttle as in Los Angeles. It is however pricier then flying into LA but in my opinion well worth it :)

I also grew up in Orlando Adam and my grandparents lived in Sarasota. When visiting my grandparents which we did off and on all year long we would always drive. Well one time my dad wasn’t going to go with me snd my sister to visit. So I remember my dad saying we were gonna fly and then on the way back he’d meet us half way driving home I thought oh cool we’re gonna fly we’ve never done that before. I’ll never forget we get to the plane and it was an American Airline flight like the one you took but the plane was even smaller. It had to be like maybe 20 passengers at the most. It wasn’t even a jet engine plane it was propeller engines. Loaded straight off the tarmac. And the flight flew at a very low altitude compared to any flight I had been on before. It was awesome!

Bob Hope airport is so low-key and uncomplicated, I just love the feeling of waltzing right onto that old school tarmac! Welcome back to beautiful Burbank Adam!
Adam, Burbank airport reminds me of the old John Wayne Airport. You used to have to exit the plane via a jet bridge at the old (SNA) airport. I hope you have time to go to Universal & ride the studio tour since they brought back the old style Glamor Trams. Earthquake the Big One is also back open from it's overhaul. What a way to start a marriage! Edited to add it was a flight attendant strike, not pilots.
@@MichaelRei99 That was my first and last time. Believe me I was more than happy while driving since that small plane ride was my third time in the air. Remember standing in the airport in Jamaica had no idea we were going to be able to leave LOL. Thanks for the reply have a great weekend.

Loved flying in & out of Burbank (Bob Hope) maybe 55 yrs now? (sheesh, certainly wasn’t called Bob Hope back then) This little hippie kid used to do the “wave” like Jackie Onassis in her pillbox hat coming off the plane & walking down the stairs (no ramp back then, what the heck) (yes tho, did a rental car there last summer & got totally lost, signage people!) Anyone remember PSA with the amazing “stewardesses” in bright-colored go-go boots & bubble hats? Sorry to the amazing former flight attendants, but it’s a highlight of my childhood, and I loved you so much! Mostly fly to LGB from NorCal now, for DLR, cutest airport, still get a ramp & walk off the fancy way. Tho pre pandemic they would deplane both front & back which was brilliant, but haven’t experienced that lately. LAX is a trauma waiting to happen. (For ex. hotel shuttle last time flew right by me late at night. Never again.) Btw for Disney-goers, LGB Lyft to DLR is a little more than from Orange County (John Wayne) (which is bigger but ok) but the flights for me are usually so much less expensive, a longer Lyft is totally well worth it. I do NOT like the littler planes, flew twice on those in & out of MCO, & rather avoid the weird noises & massive turbulence, omg.
CRJ700, that’s much closer to real flying. I once did a flight on a CRJ700 from Charlotte to Knoxville and the winds over the Smokies had the pilots laughing as we were bouncing around so bad. 32,000 because all westbound altitudes are even. You’ll fly odd altitudes on the way back (31,33,35,37,39K). Flightaware shows the bounce and speed changes. Your one shot of the train at the airport contained trains, planes, automobiles and mountains, just no Neal or Del. You flew right over John Wayne coming into BUR (39:20) as you said John Wayne and then you are sitting so close to the cockpit you could hear the auto-pilot or auto-throttle off alarm (39:52). Saw Bob Hope at the Nassau, Bahamas airport sitting on a bench hiding behind a pillar to stay out of the way. We left him alone too. What is so depressing, but progress, is what is now on the Warner Bros Ranch.
Thank you for your interesting video trip by plane..I see that the gasoline is not expensive at all compared to my country, France...8 dollars a gallon, it is very expensive...I wish you a good stay in California ❤
"Wheres Phoenix" *Points right at Phoenix* 😂MCO Will allways be my 2nd favorite AP in the US besides Sky Harbor, also damn lucky that you guys got to land on the west side approach usually flights from florida come east over Tempe town lake.
OMG I took American Eagle from NY to Arkansas for work and hated it so much. I have a fear of flying to begin with. Nope. Didn't enjoy that at all! This video brought back all those fears. LOL
Such a relaxing and fun video. Thank you!

Btw for Disney-goers, LGB Lyft to DLR is a little more than from Orange County (John Wayne) (which is bigger but ok) but the flights for me are usually so much less expensive, a longer Lyft is totally well worth it.
I do NOT like the littler planes, flew twice on those in & out of MCO, & rather avoid the weird noises & massive turbulence, omg.
No trip to Phoenix is complete without Aunt Edna and Dinky ! 😊
Nice. Live in Orlando and in LA at the same time as Adam. What a world!
Prickly Pear cactus candy and jelly is delicious! Made from the cactus fruit.
That Enchilada Meal looks delicious 😋
Welcome back to Cali Adam!!!!
"Wheres Phoenix"
*Points right at Phoenix*
😂MCO Will allways be my 2nd favorite AP in the US besides Sky Harbor, also damn lucky that you guys got to land on the west side approach usually flights from florida come east over Tempe town lake.
OMG I took American Eagle from NY to Arkansas for work and hated it so much. I have a fear of flying to begin with. Nope. Didn't enjoy that at all! This video brought back all those fears. LOL
