    What I learned was that some companies leave soap on the carpet so the customer will have their carpets cleaned more often. Soap residue attracts dirt. I've also dealt with a company that had cleaned area rugs that also left alot of residue for the same reason.

    The encapsulation cleaning solution is usually worked into a carpet breaking the chemical bond between dirt and fiber. As far as getting rid of sticky residue left from a previous cleaner the encap solution mixes with the soil and sticky-residue. Upon drying, the solution crystallizes rendering the residue to be completely non-sticky. Routine vacuuming removes the encapsulated particles. well-formulated encap detergents render sticky residue completely NON-STICKY!
    Many professional cleaning products are inherently sticky. After their application, the sticky surfactants are never 100% removed. Their sticky residue lingers behind to attract more dirt and soil.

    What is the major complaint people have after having their carpets professionally cleaned? They complain that their carpets get dirty again very quickly! The culprit is usually due to the left-behind sticky residue!

    Well-formulated encapsulation detergents remove the stickiness in the carpet. Also, due to their chemical makeup, they will never leave behind a sticky residue of their own.

    A well-formulated encap will crystallize. It can then be removed during routine vacuuming. A carpet cleaned with an excellent encap product will stay cleaner, longer.

    There is no way Bonnet cleaning can even compare to hwe. While bonnet cleaning does have its place! In all my years of cleaning if you want to truly extract the most soil when push comes to shove nothing is as good as hwe! Especially with the high powered truck mounts today! I run a roots 47 blower and a 350,000 btu North Star burner. Even on cold days I can still pull 230-250 at the wand. With good dry passes the carpets are only damp to the touch after cleaning. Great job Courtney I love watching your videos and have learned a thing or 2 from you!

    My mom's ex boyfriend did carpet cleaning for this guy and he used to help out fix cars in the shop that he owned. He taught me and my mom quite a bit and what type of solvents (ingredients/detergents) that you can safely use in the carpet cleaner. (The kind you can buy at any retail store that sells them.) You can ONLY use ONE tablespoon of dawn or laundry detergent. (YES, you can do one of each but your gonna have to narrow it down to one teaspoon each otherwise your going to have a tank full of suds and it'll be a mess to clean up.
    It may not look like there's enough formula in the tank. But, trust me, once it hits the floor, the floor will most definitely tell you "it's more than enough genius."

    My Mum used to get our house's carpets cleaned once a month, and I honestly miss it. It smelled so nice afterwards, and left the carpets so lush and soft. 😍 I always remember RIGHT after they were cleaned though, we were NOT* allowed to walk on them because they were still damp 😂😂 and ofc we'd walk on them and leave foot prints and it was so fun. 😋 Anyways these videos are SO satisfying ! And you're so polite, and I love your enthusiasm for cleaning, because same.

    When I did carpet cleaning at a senior community I walked into a unit that when you walked on the carpet it felt and sounded like you were walking on carpet with plastic under it. I just used water on the carpet but had to go over it several times. The guy before me used so much soap that it was held in the padding. After I was done and the carpet dry it was softer and didn't have that plastic sound. Some times you just need to go over the carpet and rinse it to get all the soap out of it and it looks 100% better and will last longer. Too many people that clean carpet think you have to use a lot of cleaner to clean it. A little dab will do it'

    I'm an IT guy Courtney, but here's what I understand. Any encapsulation method including the Aerus (formerly Electrolux) and Kirby Shampooers require a good quality post vac at a minimum to remove the residue. The process is Pre-Vac, Clean, Dry, then Post-Vac.
    A lot of the newer home carpet cleaning machines are starting to emulate a lot of what cleaners like you do. I'm not talking about the rentals, or the retail versions of the rentals here, I'm talking your sub $300 machines. The easiest way to imagine this would be having a wand built into the front of your CRB.

    Gotta carry a Crystal defoamer in the truck 24/7. Not just because other companies but mainly for the clients that dump diy spot cleaner all over or the diy rental machines that use the equivalent of bubble bath. I charge extra to rinse out someone else's residue.

    • @blueeyes1726
      @blueeyes1726 5 років тому +2

      Crystal defoamer is a life saver when you lose all suction. I've gone over light blue spots before (actually most were covered in dirt, so were dark brown) that turned out to be spilled laundry detergent. Instant suds & loss of suction. Defoamer is a must have product.

    I'm not an expert or even a cleaning professional, but it seems to me to be the same problem faced when Shake-n-Vac products came out and people used them and found that they clogged up vacuum cleaners. They soon went out of fashion. Same with cleaners that don't do a proper job. If it was me, I'd clean the carpet without detergent first, to remove the residue, and then a second time with fresh detergent. Or the other way around. And then rinse with clean water until the suction runs clear and there's no water left to vacuum. If I was the customer, I'd have asked for my money back.

    • @pouringblood
      @pouringblood 4 роки тому +1

      It is like a steamer combined with a vacuum.
      Usually you spray down a cleaning formula and then rinse/extract with this machine.
      It disperses hot water (mixed with a rinsing solution) into the carpet which the vacuum part of the machine then sucks up.
      Very similar to an upholstery cleaner, only scaled up.
