Red headed woodpecker presence at the end symbolizes independence. When I hear one like that on forest walks I feel an acknowledgement of harmony with nature. Sometimes they will guide you to things they think you should see in the woods like a fallen tree or maybe something of interest. They have very subtle different calls that will grab your attention when they want to show you something. The calls on here are just a greeting or a "happy to see you again...welcome. back" inflection. They are very interactive little messengers.
Thank you and yes woodpeckers are wonderful. There are many different woodpeckers here from Pileated to the Downy. I love hearing them as they make me happy I am home.
