I think upper third of the league, and I'd be happy with that. Concerned we'll be "over our skis" if we go up again without having the academy and training infrastructure sorted. We need that foundation.
A good yardstick was last season’s FA Cup match with League 1 Shrewsbury Town. We were lucky to win and were outplayed for most of the match. However, our performances improved later in the season after this match, so I would be happy with avoiding relegation! Ever the WAFC Dragons fan!
46th! Another informative video Liam, things are looking better and better the closer it comes to the beginning of the new season. My wish is to see the team holding their own and ending up mid table or better. Things aren’t going to be as smooth sailing in the past couple of seasons. But I’ll be watching as many matches as I possibly can, and am still planning to make a trek to see a couple of matches in person. Great job Liam. Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA
I honestly think that if they finish in the top half they should be massively happy . If they make the play offs in their first season ,they will exceed all expectations. Good luck 🤞
We’ve got to get our training grounds sorted. Stabilize and go up when we are ready. If we go up again, we will struggle terribly in the championship without the infrastructure. Signings so far have been brilliant. Most players are championship quality. That being said, we’ve got to start selling some players to keep our balance sheet clean.
great well thought out show. did we sign a goalkeeper too? talk about championship is really scary, when you see how good division one is going to be. one thing i would add is that all the big clubs in now, wrexham could treat most games as fa cup games, minnows against the big boys, where usually wrexham get stuck in and have exceptional results. I am looking forward to at least a mid table finish. by the way i follow youtube, on which many treat wrexham with high regard, but single out birmingham and huddersfield etc. COME ON THE REDS, can't wait
Be very happy if we stay in the league, as its a big difference from league 2, national league. But with the transfers Wrexham have made so far has made me dream of play-offs.... Regardlesswhat happens WREXHAM FOR EVER
Personally? I hope that we can get into the play-offs. I think that another promotion would not be good. Wrexham needs a lot more development. i.e. Training ground and Academy. It would be brutal to get promoted again, then be crushed and relegated. A consolidation year would be good. Be competitive, recruit, and build the infrastructure...
They've got to push for promotion, but making a good push and falling short of the top 6, or getting knocked off in the playoffs, wouldn't be off track for building up into the proper League 1 club that Wrexham once was ... for its time. Back to back to back promotions leads straight into a hunker down and fight against relegation season.
I think itd be best to spend 2024-2026 in league one to build up the experience of the squad and pay some needed attention to the grounds. Then league one champions. In the championship by 2027/2028 season
Unless we sign a quality striker i dont think we be shocking no one be a mid table finish. We relied too long on mullin up front, and reality is he still has never had a strike partner who also chipped in with a number of goals , he been our talisman and our main and only threat in away matches a number of times. parkinson has brought a number of strikers in but still not enough , alot are sub standard so far. Time he got it right and finally brought a striker in who does actually get goals alongside mullin.
They'll be pushing for the playoffs, so I reckon 6th-8th. Between Brunt, Dobbo and Seb, added to the best of the existing defenders and defensive mid, Wrexham has potentially done a really big upgrade in its defensive team speed when the other side has the ball. There is also the lurking possibility that Parkie will change base formation going away into the stronger clubs so that they are tighter at the back then they have been over the past two years ... opening up the possibility of different line ups when facing the stronger clubs away and the weaker clubs at home.
If Wrexham gains promotion -- and 8th-6th means like a 5% shot of winning through at the first try -- they won't be aiming for parity with the top half of the table in the Championship, that's just too high to aim for. They'd be aiming for parity with the bottom half of the table, which last year was £10,000 payrolls at 10th-14th. THAT would be the "fight to stay up", "consolidate", "build to try for promotion" multiple seasons, and "hitting mid-table" as a Year 2/3 goal if they escape the drop in year 1. One benefit of setting up the U19's and down at Darland HS is that the Training Ground doesn't have to be able to support the education requires for the younger Academy squads, which reduces the overload in what the training ground has to support, so especially with a CEO that is not looking to move on if the club is promoted, the odds are that the training ground will be well in hand before this season is finished.
You were just telling about the crazy budget of Birmingham, now they bought an eredivisie player for more than 4 million, that's still another league than Wrexham their budget
@@EL.JEFE1231 Paul Mullens middle name is Philip, but anyone that's been to watch Wrexham will have heard 10k fans shouting "We've got Mullin, super Paul Mullin", this guy is obviously trolling.
You need a first class striker before you talk about winning this league. Go back to the Villa and check out some of their U21 strikers on a loan basis - they could fill that gap?
How do you think we’ll do in our first season back in League One?
Personally I would be happy if we are any place above mid table. If we are in playoffs or automatic promotion spots, I'd be thrilled.
Realistically mid table
not a wrexham fan but i think you will get playoffs
I think and hope will be somewhere mid-table or in the playoffs.

Another excellent presentation. Upper half of table would be a great outcome this season.
This was the first I’d heard about the possible shit show it would be if Wrex did get promoted again. Makes sense. Appreciate your insights.
Great information and I’m digging the more frequent videos, it’s like our very own inside reporter 😂 Get this Gent to 25k subs! #UpTheTown
Another great 20 minutes. Once again great insight. Exciting times ahead!
24500 subs so close mate congratulations
Top ten would be really great .. time to consolidate and build the squad up to Championships standard
Great content. When is wrexham going to give you some space at the race course to do your thing.
Keep up the good work!!!

Good signings but it will be tough. Our away form was not great last season and it will be harder this season.Top 6 and playoff is possible.
Hopefully in the top 3rd of league 🤞🤞🤞

Im willing to bet we're going up to the championship next year
I’m willing to bet that you won’t be.

Yeah he does where should he put it tho?
Birmingham might have money, but they don't have SUPER PAUL MULLIN.
Phil Mullin you mean

When is Wrexham FC going to sign the striker Liam Roberts
Does liam roberts play as a striker?
You’ll be playing against Posh on 31 August, and losing. Tough league this one.

You know you will be behind stockport yet again!!!
Oh God, the jealous ex is here again
IF they are 'behind stockport' again that means Wrexham will be promoted again. We will just have to 'settle' for that!
@@Dbusdriver71 no because we'll come 8th and wrexham will come 9th/10th, our recruitment has been much better coming into this season
