Here we are 25 years later, Titanic will run again in cinemas, and the iconic soundtrack from James is still unmatch. RIP James Horner.
Say whatever you want about Titanic but the Score is a masterpiece.
Yes really, the score james Horner did will always be a timeless classic, and he fuly deserved the two oscars
Agreed. I can't go a few days without listening to TITANIC music. It is a masterpiece.
100% fully deserved
Secondo me per la canzone doveva vincere o "Hercules" o "Anastasia".
"This is the second Oscar for James Horner. He won his first Oscar literally two minutes ago."
🤣
Oh I can't believe that he is no more.....
Wonderful musician....
Miss u....
James Horner deserved the Oscars for Best Original Dramatic Score and Best Original Song for Titanic. 😃❤️🚢
I was an extra in "Titanic." I was blown away by James Horner's score the first time I heard it. It was released shortly before the movie hit the screens. His beautiful music resonates in my very soul and I'm sure the souls of many others. I've been teary eyed tonight at the news of his death in the plane crash. Bless his soul and surviving family and friends.
rocknjerr What a cool experience that not everybody can say they had😀👍🏻
Ah, so You were the 47th guy from the left when the ship left port! I knew it! :D
I learned the name James Horner watching Aliens. May he rest in peace.
His music was an influence to many. He will be remembered.
R.I.P James Horner 1953 - 2015
RIP dear Mr. Horner. You have no idea, how deeply you have touched so many people around the world!
True story, including as an example Balto. I was too young in the 90s to watch Titanic, but Balto (1995) was just around perfect for my age and was the first opportunity where I could listen to Horner's music. Funnily enough, even not knowing it was him who made the soundtrack for many years until I was in my 20s.
RIP. Great composer
Horner's "Titanic" Oscar was well deserved, especially considering the competition that year. Every single one of the nominated scores was outstanding, but "Titanic" was especially evocative -- of the ship, its time, and the of unfortunate souls who saw one of their life's greatest adventures end so horribly.
The moment he and James Cameron embraced was such a powerful sight :).
what a shocker = no surprise !!
that song is perfect till today
Celine sings perfectly and no one could do it better
Absolutely. It’s 2021 and the song (and the movie) still stands as tall as ever. And it remains one of Celine Dion’s most iconic. James Horner said he’d known Celine Dion for many years and he knew from the start that he wanted her to sing My Heart Will Go On. She nailed it on the first take,
Rest In Peace James Horner....our hearts will go on in your memory. Your music is memorable and timeless.
RIP James Horner. Your music will go on.
I cried for 3 hours after listening his score. It gives me hope everytime. RIP James Roy Horner.
Goodbye James Horner, your music will be remembered for years to come
RIP . James Horner.
Such a great loss.
Very well-deserved Oscar wins. Rest in Peace: James Horner (1953-2015). We miss you, but we'll never forget you. Your music will go on and we thank you for what you've done in contributing your unforgettable compositions to the world of cinema. Goodbye, Mr. Horner. :.(...
2:47 is so beautiful! James Horner really had a magic, phenomenal touch when it came to composing music. He had a talented ear and made history. As a pianist, I looked up to him so much as an inspiration. I was devastated when he passed in 2015. I made a piano cover in his memory under my channel, and I also performed My Heart Will Go On live for a stage performance ❤️🥰 I miss and love you, Mr. Horner
James Horner was one of the greatest composers in film history! His score for "Titanic" is just as masterful as the film! My only wish is that he won additional Oscars for "Avatar" and the song "I See You"! R.I.P. James Horner.
Great moment
Great awards
Great music
Thank you James Horner RIP
Those Madonna haters should shut up! She wasn't rude or disrespectful. Everyone knew that song was going to win.
Rest peacefully, James Horner. You 100% deserved these two awards, and your music will forever go on and stay in my heart. ❤🎼🎶🎵
Let me tell you something.. I had the honor to meet James Horner in person once... What a great person he was, very modest, full of wisdom, he told us his background story about the crafting of the music for Titanic... The morning I'd found out about his death in a plane crash really shocked me deep inside.. May your soul rest in peace!
I remember watching the Oscars that evening and feeling so gratified that Cameron and Horner finally received some well deserved recognition. Very memorable show. Titanic dominated that night, winning one award after another. These guys changed the way I thought about film music with Aliens, Titanic and Avatar. It's such a shame they only did those three films with one another. They went together like cookies and milk and should have had many more collaborations together. Miss you, James. 💔
R.I.P james horner. your beautiful song will go on and on.❤❤
We truly lost a great legend in music. I hope now he can rest in peace and his music lives on forever until the end of times.
He felt so appreciated. His music will live forever ❣️
Of all the Oscars that Titanic won that night. These were the two the meant the most to me.
I thought of James Horner as more than a composer, he was my friend and therapist, always there through his beautiful music bringing me comfort and joy at times when I had no one to turn to. I miss James every day and he is never far from my thoughts, my heart, and (most importantly) my ears
I'LL LOVE JAMES' MUSIC FOREVER!
He deserved two Oscars for “the land before time” too. One of my fav soundtrack of all time.
I love Titanic and Madonna and I don't have a clue why everyone is attacking Madonna, Titanic is the clear winner for the year and everyone knew it, so many people have made comments like that so leave Madonna alone!! I would've done the same probably! Madonna is my Queen and Titanic is my favourite film ever! James Horner is the best composer ever!!
One of the greatest composers. Rest in peace, Mr. James Horner. Devastated.
The thing people don't realize with a lot of the diehard 'My Heart Will Go On' fans (such as myself), is that it's not just "oh what a great soppy ballad!" It's a very mighty melody, and the lyrics stop being cheesy and grow meaningful the moment you lose someone from your life. If it's not to your taste that's fine, but this is a great selection of music that will 'go on and on ' for a reason.
The instrumental pieces are just wonderful and spine-tingling good as well.
He was my influence and inspiration as a composer, along with Hans Zimmer.
Thank You, R.I.P. James Horner.
The first score I HAD to purchase as a then 12 year old. I never knew music in a film could move you like that. It single handedly sparked my love for cinema and music.
Same, I was 13 when it came out and I listen to it all the time, several pieces are on my night time music playlist that I listen to every night
RIP James Horner
Marvin Hamlish, John Barry, and now James Horner has left us. So many great composers in a few years.
Horner's soundtrack for Titanic is haunting, best in many years.
RIP Will Jennings (June 27, 1944 - September 6, 2024), aged 80
And
RIP James Horner (August 14, 1953 - June 22, 2015), aged 61
You both will be remembered as legends.
RIP James Horner, you did fantastic scoring Titanic and Avatar. I wish you were still here with us. You will always be missed, you made great music and we shall always think about you when we listen to your music.
Most beautiful soundtrack ever for a movie. Gone by never forgotten RIP James
RIP James Horner. A beast.
R.I.P James. Your amazing music will live on through the ages
Titanic has a memorable masterpiece level of score that instantly recognized by millions of millions
i know its a brilliant film but despite it won 11 oscars, how on earth did leo and kate winslet not win an oscar ?
@@Gencturk92 Cuz you need to check the other nominees and how great those were. Even if Kate and Leo did good, others can do as good or even better. Being nominated is already a good recognition. Not every actor has an Oscar nomination.
@@airwaters Leo didnt even get a nomination but Kate Winslet did so did Gloria, how on earth did leo not get nominated though
'Thank you JAMES for being in a good mood that day' CLASSIC ! I love this guy!
RIP James Horner. You gave us a masterpiece.❤️
I miss this man sooo much that it still hurts watching this. His music has been such an indelible part of my own film history upbringing that he is beyond just an inspiration. His music, as much as the imagery of all those movies I loved, will always remain. And I'm the biggest weeper ever! Just hearing those first few notes of the "Titanic Theme" either in my head or on screen will start the waterworks going in a heartbeat.
You're a master of your craft Mr. Horner... RIP
Though they have the same melody, My Heart Will Go On is that typical 90s pop song that i dont really care.
But Titanic score is one of the best music i've ever heard. 100% deserved that award.
i always knew titanic won 11 oscars but i didnt know leo and kate didnt win best actor
One month ago you left us, but you'll always be in our memories and hearts! Thanks for all the music you gave us (and for the future ones, like Southpaw and The Magnificent Seven remake)! :'(
So incredibly sad that this talented man died so soon.
Titanic dominated at the 1998 Oscars and it is the most viewed ceremony because of the wonderful film.
Well-deserved win. Amazing score and even more amazing song but stop talking crap about Madonna. Some fans act like a bunch of immature losers. "What a shocker" means "No Surprise". It was nowhere near an insult. Everyone expected this song to win, so grow up guys!
she's just joking, but it's also because she wanted Elliott smith to win. notice her smile.
Music scoring of titanic definitely has a large impact on the film. It just added to the feels everytime🛳💙
rip he amazing soul who left beautiful music behind.
Rest In Peace James Horner. We All Miss You.
RIP, James. You are amazing! Eternal!
RIP Mr Horner
I fell in love with James Horner's musical score for Braveheart and have been a fan ever since. Thank God he won the Oscar for this Magnificent Film. This score is the most beautiful compliment to the movie. There was good competition this year, but Titanic is the Number 1 Winner.
James horner is legend!!
Titanic, Braveheart, Avatar
Most Deserved Oscars in the film history
He was a genius, his music was just too Amazing no one can match his composition
"What a shocker...!" LOL Madonna!
Miss u sir 😢❤2024 still
This great composer has made also the Braveheart soundtrack... Legend.
Thank you for this masterpiece. RIP James Horner
So fully deserved. Thank You James, you legacy will Forever Go On. Rip
We have now lost to the two people who made the iconic theme song of Titanic for Celine Dion. A lyricist and a composer. May those two rest in peace and their hearts will foever go on. Thank you, Will Jennings and James Horner. 💐😔
26/4/2019 still loving MY HEART WILL GO ON ( teamCelineDion)
Thank you James Horner. You will be remembered for all your scores.
This guy was a magician with music not just titanic he composed so many songs for so many movies.
RIP Great James. We Will never forget your beautiful songs. Thank you for everything.
this music really moves people and goes well with whats happening on screen there both geniuses
He deserved so many more ! I hope here it’s at some award show they honor him properly.
A TRILHA SONORA MAIS LINDA DO CINEMA SEM DÚVIDAS.
RIP James Horner your will always be a our hearts every time I watch Titanic I will remember you
You better win this soundtrack, James Horner. One of the very very few soundtrack I've enjoyed from start to finish!! All the feels!! If anything, the score transcends the movie for me. Good job James Horner for taking this first one home after a nomination of seven! As for the original song - whew, any of those nominated could have won since I loved it!! Icing on top that My Heart Will Go On won for it too. :)
RIP James Horner. Loved your BG composition for Deep Impact as well
Wish he were still alive to do the Avatar sequels. RIP!
The music score in Titanic successfully drown us into sorrow, the lonely in vast ocean, James Horner is a brilliant
For me,Titanic and its movie and song is my favorite
As legendary as John Williams and Hans Zimmer are to movie soundtracks, James Horner’s TITANIC is the best of all time (IMHO).
I would feel even more Happy If James Horner was awarded this Oscar for his work in Braveheart!!
Braveheart is the Best!!
RIP Sir!!
I miss James Horner's talent so much. Grew up with many of his film scores (mostly the ones he did for animated movies like "An American Tail" and "The Land Before Time") and I was so hurt when I first found out he died in that plane crash. The music he did for "Titanic" will always be his greatest work.
James Horner did the best score ever
god bless you mr Horner...
How he did not win for braveheart I don't know!!
I thought he won an oscar in one of the movies, for they deserved it very much, both Apollo 13 and Braveheart.
I love his music that is so beautiful and special. His music complements and enhances the movie by itself, and both work lovely as one.
God bless you James. Your talent will be missed
The orchestra was wonderful...... That night was Titanic for titanic
My hreat will go on is the most beautiful I ever heard.
Best score of all time. I’ve never come across a film score where I can hum the entire thing and know exactly where I am in the movie.
There was just something about this movie. Iconic doesn’t even begin to describe it. We were spoilt back then because nowadays scores are rubbish.
yeah same here, i like shawshank redemption aswell the score for that film was brilliant too
Titanic has great score and song.
Best song of the 20th century. Both composition and lyrics are brilliant.
Miss you so much Mr. Horner 😢😢😢😢😢😢 RIP
Great moment for a brilliant composer.
Near far wherever you are i believe that the heart does go on❤️
I have no problem with how Madonna chuckled and made a remark. I don't know if there's any history to her relationship with the film and its success, but I just took it to mean that Titanic was the clear favorite to win, nobody expected an upset, and of course, it won. Why she found that funny, God only knows.
The history is that her favourite movie that year was Good Will Hunting, thats why she smiled a little bit when reading about that movie. Also, I think she wanted to sing the theme song for Titanic, but was turned down.
Paul Popa
Ok I'm not sure about the latter part of my statement, but I think I remember reading it somewhere. For the first bit, it was from a television program I was watching around 1998 when Madonna was in Toronto promoting her 'Ray of Light' album. The host asked what her current favourite movie was and she said 'Good Will Hunting'.
R.I.P. Elliot Smith. One of the best musicians in the world.
Navid Sitarian
James was the one who made me love film music when I didn't even understand my love for it. RIP, Mr. Horner, you made a part of my personality real.
Rest In Peace Mr Horner...💜
RIP JAMES you will be missed you mighty composer.
Richie Daniel I'm missing him
Celine never even mentions.
wait he died????
@@FransceneJK98 yeah in 2015
@@materiutbk2044 I Heard, now that James Horner's dead who's going to score Avatar 2?
