Man, I keep wanting to buy one, but I don’t need one, which means I’ll probably buy one anyways…. I love snugpak… I’ve got several blankets, a cave, a scorpion 3, and one of the bags. Damn u , now I have to buy the ionosphere.
Hi guys, thanks for the comments and likes! Sorry it has taken so long to get our account up and running properly. It is big enough to fit 6'1 yes, All the best! - RVOps
Informative. Looking at a 1 person set up. I have used bivy sacs before. The small footprint would work in some of the areas I camp....not a lot of room for big set ups.
I want to like this but the opening seems too small and why are so many stakes/pegs required to set it up? Seems like more stakes needed than my Snugpak Scorpion 3 tent. It does seem a little pricey compared to a Scorpian 3 also.
Totally agree. Plus you really need a tarp with a bivy so you can cook and sit up during an all day rain. Bivy and a tarp is the same weight as a tent with a decent vestibule. Condensation is a big issue when a bivy is all closed up also.
the problem with this tent which i bought .. can't setup in the rain .. you got put inner first... also in hot tropical country i had so much water inside won't breath ..used it one night then dumbed it
good for you, you can take 5 minutes on google and find the conversions and take out the good old calculator and inform us with meaningless bullshit that no one gives a fuck about great job man !
As has already been mentioned the Jack Wolfskin Gossamer is £55 cheaper and no faffing around with a separate fly sheet in the rain while the inner gets wet. Sorry but the Snugpak Ionosphere gets a huge thumbs down.
Hi Harpo, thanks for the feedback, always welcome. When the video was dropped online in 2012 there was a glitch in our system, hence why the aspect ratio is wrong. Hopefully the other 100 videos don't disappoint. Regards, Andy
***** Its more use for temporary or as survival tent. They know but u have the choice. i want one of these in my bug out bag, becouse of the space savings and quality.

Wow - that thing is huge, a point very well illustrated. thanks for posting!
This is a great tent, I owned it before, my buddy had one too...He was was 6'7" and about 350 lbs and he fit in it...
You've made my mind up for me. I was considering the Stratosphere This is a better option in terms of set-up and space. Thanks for the info 👍

Great video and review. Has gone a good way to helping me decide on a lightweight tent/bivvy.
Thanks Fella!
There are straps with velco that can secure the outer rain fly to the two poles.
Enjoyed the video. Keep up the great work.
Is this long enough for some one 6,1 to fit comfterbly

Purchased this tent. It has become my favorite for solo outings. Will experiment with rain/snow in a week.
Does the screen stop no-see-ums?
Does it use a standard USB port?

is it waterproof?? thank you!
I own one of these and I'm 6'15 feet/187cm and I have no problem with the size of this tent.
how much does it weight
About 3.5 pounds packed weight.. you might be able to replace the stakes with lighter ones to decrease the weight though
i have this tent - i find the outer tent does not peg close to the ground - theres around 3-4 inch gap which can let in a lot of wind
True, but you don't get the condensation a normal tent produces in a fall or spring night. Been using this tent for years and love it.
Not sure on the price of this one, but Jack Wolfskin Gossamer is about £85 from Cotswolds
How tall are you?

I brought a Jack Wolfskin Gossamer for my son. It looks exactly the same this tent.
You remind me of Alan Partridge

Cool...i want one :)
Best regards from Norway.
They're only rough prices mate, it's anything between £90-£100 and £130-£140
I wonder if the Big Show could fit in there
Nice tent but i'll give it a miss because it's too small to sit up in. If they bring out a model with about 85cm headroom I'd probably buy it
It's £30 cheaper. The gossamer is about £90, the Ionosphere can be found for £130ish. Cheaper price=cheaper materials=inferior quality.
1.53 I thought he said burger 🍔 😂🤣😂 what about the fries 🍟
Nice review.

You can pick one of these up for $170 on Amazon
It really is bang in the middle of a tent and a bivvi
Great, thanks
If one is about £90 and the other is about £130, isn't that about £40 cheaper
It's huge
That 4K video is a joke, right?
SOLD
Yup :-) I just did!
I like the Jack Wolfskin Gossamer better. Super strong.
Like it, but too expensive.
WOW!! £119.99. Good bit of kit though .
fuck it's $249.99 at ds tactical in new westminster
Getting the aspect ration wrong on your UA-cam video is an INSTANT FAIL. Go back and try again ...
Harpo Marx many thanks for the feedback. As you're obviously up to speed on all things technical, feel free to post a demo yourself 👍

Andy Stuart I am sure he will
Obviously Ex-UK forces!
Bivy sucks because of narrow entrance. When will these designers ever learn..
