idk if you noticed, but at the ending of the film when Coriolanus looks at the statue in the capital square, the fountain is in full peak, creating a rainbow in the statues skirt, just like Lucy Gray's skirt during the reaping and the games. Just a little extra from the director to show how even though shes gone, Coriolanus can't forget about her (also why Olivia Rodrigo's song hits so hard).
Great video! I'm a 68 year old man, and I love everything about The Hunger Games. I've read all of the books multiple times, and seen the movies many times, as well. Although I've only seen The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes twice... so far!
Cornucopias from arenas are like the rubble, the hanging tree kinda reminds of that lightning tree from the arena, jabberjays were in the arena but Snow also used a jabberjay to betray Sejanus , Lucy Gray’s dress has primrose and katniss on it, also Snow wears classic clothing still even though the capitol fashion has become more flashy much like Lucy Gray’s dress
I was really excited to see the final part of the movie, because even in books the transition felt a bit rushed and also was all done via internal monologue so I was thinking how will they do it here. And boy I loved it. 🤩 I mean the pure face acting of the guy who played Snow was amazing! (That's the talent!) And even thought I heard a lot of viewers who didn't read the book and were really confused about the movie 😅 (which was kinda funny to listen to), I think they did it really well and I absolutelly loved it ❤
This was great! I just watched the film, and to be honest, I didn’t think it added much to the original series until I watched your video! This was a great observation of important elements that connect all the films together! Thank you for taking the time to share! 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾
nah, at most he maybe convinced himself he loved her, or the idea of her. Books were able to frame it much better than the movie could, which isn't on them, but he's much more possessive and everytime he does things like call her "his girl" its never a good feeling because he spends like half the book trying to rationalize how he could possibly have feelings for someone from a district, someone he otherwise would view as an animal.
@@kaymaldo to be fair I don't think the distrust was mutual. Snow admits it would never have worked out but Lucy Gray was for the most part with him until they tried to run away and started talking about their differences in ideals. Coryo slipping up saying he killed 3 people instead of 2 just started the train. Movie just frames the scene the complete opposite way of how it should have gone after he finds the weapons and it feels like it puts the blame on her when its entirely Snow's decision to tie up the last loose end that could possibly ruin any chances he had of success and power.
"have you been out there? 10, 11, 12?"
"not personally, no"
"well, i have"

Nice!! I’m reading the book now
"you like an underdog"
"everybody likes an underdog"
"i don't"
The way the Mockingjays screamed mom after Sejanus died!
😱
Those were jabberjays. Mockingjays can't mimic human speech, they can only reproduce themes and melodies. But yeah, what you said!

It’s an awesome series! I rewatched them all after seeing Songbirds and Snakes. Now I’m reading the prequel book.
If you think about it when Lucy eats the rose petal it’s symbiotic really. It’s like the rose is Snow, she takes a piece of him and destroys it
Oooooh great catch!

Ooh I love the connection to the Capitol dressing flashy like Lucy Gray’s dress!!!
Thank you - nailed the parallels!!
Thank YOU! 🫶🏽
Just watched it and I really enjoyed it! I totally missed the family connections you mentioned at the end so thanks!!
Glad you enjoyed the video, it was so fun to make!

Thank you so much!!!
I’m not sure but when Lucy-gray mentioned the plant katniss they played her theme song
Oooh!
also the middle of the arena are alike in the movies ( the rock structure)
Love your videos!
Thank you so much! 💕
This was very well done ❤
Why thank you 🤗
Awesome video!
Thank you!!
There was a scene where Lucy said to Coriolanus that she wanted to flee heading *north*
Just as Katniss wanted to flee north with Gale!
Nice catch!
So cool, I enjoyed it
🙌🏽
Tigris the girl that grew up with snow is Tigris the lady with the cat face that was in hiding
Tigris is actually snow’s cousin
i'd love to see a movie about Katniss' mentor (i forgot his name) But i also hope they will continue this story
Hamish! And yeah I just finished the book I hope they do more. I love the prequel
Same
that line wasn't in the books
I just saw the new one
So good!
I know right I also love that movie and I hope you enjoyed it
I thought he actually loved Lucy Grey, like he wanted to choose her because he liked her spirit in the trailers
He didn’t get to choose to be her mentor in the games. I do think he fell in love with her, but their mistrust in the end won out.
