I loved when the Titans showed up in the trailer and squashed every hope of there being a Titanfall game ever again. Truly one of the Apex moments of all time.
At this point I don't want one. They'll just turn it into a hero shooter like Overwatch or something. This is the second time they've demonstrated the badassery of Titanfall only for some anime protag character to come along and take the legacy of Titanfall and twist it to be a cool gimmick for their battle royale. Remember what they did to Viper.

I did that in titanfall 1, when you could do a nuke ejection at any time, I used my stryder to lure them into a corner of the map, once they used their impulses, I detonanted it and destroyed them, I was given a titan right after ejecting

I enjoy her story and character and motivation for joining the Apex games. A literal Filipino expat joining the Apex Games in seek for great wealth to one day win and secure the fortune she’ll ultimately use to provide for her family. As a child of Filipino decent, like how many of us would find jobs overseas, even though I never been to the Philippines, it hits home her motivation for supporting her family even if it means traveling light years away from Earth, the Philippines to win big for her family.
That whole Titan fight sequence gave me life (I live on military-grade Titanfall Copium)

I love how none of the animators have probably played Titanfall 2.
None of the Ions have a splitter rifle (the IMC uses more than just Ion).
Laser shot comes out of a shoulder mount.
Clearly vortex shield is just not an ability for them.

The batteries aren't even radioactive when broken, your suit as a geiger counter and it doesn't go off when you're around broken batteries in the first mission. Can't be bought to pay attention to their own lore.
"Deadly radiation" warning panel on the fence, doesn't wear full suit, it also breaks when she crawled, sees a recently dead bird but keeps going lol

There s an upgrade like that in titanfall where it gives shields to teammate titans
@Sir-Weissbrot I think monarch has energy siphon whereas vanguard titans have the vortex sheilds. from my understanding, the vanguard was exclusive to the militia SRS and the imc tried to copy it but couldn't quite figure it out and they could only make the Monarch. so basically BT and all of his functionalities are Vanguard vs the multi-player Monarch which is IMC/Vision dynamics (ash's thingy) built; but idk if thr miltia ever used "Monarch"

Agreed, Respawn should totally make a game about them, and then they can add Apex Legend style gameplay along with it, but maybe to give the people on the ground a better chance, maybe give them extra mobility! Maybe a wall run and a double jump?
Monarch using the laser shot to actually help the team instead of give herself shields is truly a frontier defense experience (Monarchs are greedy af in normal TF|2)
In my defense, the shield zap is Monarch's only defense. Other Titan's have entire shields and other defense abilities that actually do something helpful.

I like the part where this and all other stories from the outlands become awesome levels to play in an incredible single player (or two player couch co-op) story game for $60, and is definitely not suddenly thrown by the wayside because EA made a little less than a billion dollars. gotta say, rlly cool animation and love seeing Monarch, my only nitpick with the animation is that the pilot didnt got ejected from what basically was a nuclear self destruction, sure it makes for a very dramatic scene, but titan protocols are a thing
