My hp 5101 stops printing when I push the x button when I make a mistake, but once I want to print something else it still prints the past pages I didn't want. Any thoughts?

Ok my 32XL ink cartridge must be defective. When I got to that part in the installation process, it’s just flashing K ink droplet and M . It won’t print or go pass this stage.
