Pokémon Legends: Z-A[a] is an upcoming 2025 video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. Announced in February 2024, Legends: Z-A is part of the ninth generation of Pokémon video games. It takes place in Lumiose City in the Kalos region, based on Paris, France, which originated in Pokémon X and Y (2013).

It makes sense to make Cinderace a fire/electric Pokemon. Given the fact that rabbits are really fast, Cinderace should also refer to the term lightning speed.
Even though Empoleon is more likely to be the Starter, I still want Infernape to receive a Mega Evolution. He could have Blue Flare and a Staff, or at the very least a Staff-Based Move.
As MUCH as I would love that, we just got 3 game with that Pokemon in it, and 2 where focused on its region with nothing new added aside from its moveset being update. I'll have to let my Mega Infernape copium go...

Choosing Cinderace! This is such a cool and extrodinary design because Pokémon original Cinderace should've be fire/electric type instead of pure-fire type.
Possible starters are going to be Snivy, Scorbunny, and Piplup for Pokémon Legends:Z-A
I don't think Empoleon should be water/ice, but it kind of water/fighting or water/dark because we already have Hisuian Samurott doesn't have a ice theme for color scheme.

Well I love to choose the fire type pokemon starter and sometimes I choose different starter like water type and grass type but I want to say I love pokemons fire 🔥👿😈🔥 type because they my favorite

I don't really like these designs,but it's a two-way tie between Serperior and Cinderace, and I love that Cinderace gets the typing I always wanted.

I’m actually not too big on this Kalosian Empoleon, but it’s still good! If we got that Kalosian Cinderace tho it’s automatically on the team!!🔥⚡️
Honestly this form of Empoleon might be my favorite of the three and well I don’t dislike Empoleon I do think it is a bit overrated now Water/Steel is a sick typing but I mostly prefer Torterra and Infernape I really do like this form I like it way more than the original if this was real I would definitely pick Piplup that would mean I have to sacrifice having my boy Greninja I would have two water Starters I do you think this form of Empoleon will be Water/Fighting Type and please don’t get me, but it would be a way better Water/Fighting Starter Bird then the Fruity Duck AKA Quaquaval

If I had to choose one I'd go with Serperior, never liked Cinderace, and I'm ok with Empoleon. I'm more of a Torterra fan.

As mega evolution is returning.I think the new starters will get mega evolution as that was the focus of the kalos games.
I get that, but it can STILL be the main focus and get regional forms. Nothing is stoping that. Think about Gen 7, 8 or even 9. All those games still got Gimmick focused things AND got regionsal forms or evolutions.

I think the starts for Pokémon Legends Z-A will be: Timber, Geodude and Fletching.
(Timber for construction)
(Geodude for demolition)
(Fletching for welding and air lifting large weights)
I dont agree with your picks since it doesnt fit the pattern from Legends Arceus, since the starter pattern in what i see is 2 starters DONT exist in the modern time of the selected region while 1 does on both timelines.
And the starters doesnt focus on JUST the culture, BUT the theming of the starters that is the same as the region its based on, Like for example the Sinnoh starters theme is based on Myths and Legends, which is exactly the same theming for the Hisui starters in which they ALSO followed the same exact theming as the Sinnoh starters.
And for the starters for the Legends ZA, that will depend in 2 scenarios:
Scenario 1:
Grookey, Litten, Piplup
Scenario 2:
Snivy, Popplio and Scorbunny
I really love that serperior. Just imagine if we dont get snivy tho 😭 id be so disappointed. I probably not buy PLZ-A if my boi ain’t in the game since gen 6 is honestly not it. I hate the gen 6 starters which makes it even worse for me. Not to mention how much I HATED Lumoise city and how annoying “big” the city was and how easy it was to get lost
Love these starter choices! At base levels, Snivy's my favorite of the three, but that Empoleon Form might make me pick Piplup for once!
For Empoleon's RPG Class, if we're thinking in DnD terms, it could be a general fighter. That's really broad, but I guess while Chesnaught is more focused on Defensive classes, Empoleon represents the more offensive ones.
Ayyyy Doliwhop! Also same for me, I'm not much of a Piplup line fan due to my Chimchar bias BUT I think what I was able to create really set this apart! Additionally, thats what I though too, as I think Chesnaught is more defensive while Empoleon can be more offensive!

They will repeat the same fate as Torterra, Infernape and Empoleon
As explained in the last minute of the video, these Pokemon being the original Kalos Starters CAN get Mega forms. But the actual starters like in Legends Arceus should be Seperior, Cinderace and Empoleon with their Kalosian forms. That way it adds more to the game as a whole, as remember Kalos is the SMALLEST region with the smallest set of new Pokemon. It'll be a major change of pace using a starter not from this region ALONGSIDE Mega Greninja, Mega Chesnaught or Mega Delphox!
All I care about is that we get new regional variants for the starters and yeah snivy, scorbunny and piplup are the most likely options and I personally love the idea

Definetly possible, I know I've seen some switched to where it was Chikorita, Litten and Sobble or Snivy, Tepig and Popplio as well. To be honest it could go ANYWAY but this is the trio I'm leaning towards the most!

In my opinion, cinder race is kind of under designed. You could’ve added like a bunch of cool like patterns on a bunch of spots. It’s kind of bland.
Yes and no, remember that most of the starters in PLA didn't change MUCH at all and focused on the key elements of their designs. Its easy to overdesign a Pokemon and too much can ruin it. The goal for this is to keep the consistency of what the did in PLA and I did that in my opinion and I very much enjoy it.
The rest of them are okay, but I want Torchic. Not only because I love Torchic, but because it makes the most sense. And Kalosian Blaziken will be more of a cockfighter, since Gallic roosters were some of the earliest roosters used in cockfighting.
This is the one I get BUT keep in mind thats too much double dipping. Your not only giving it a regional form but it has a VERY good Mega form already and its like Pokemon would take that away. Though I know Cinderace has a GMAX form but its exclusive to Galar due to how it works in the lore, to where Mega Pokemon could go from game to game. Torchic/Blaziken has alot of potential but with it having a Mega which they would not remove, makes it less of an options. I know Litten is another choice but that Pokemon when becoming Incineroar is a COMPETITIVE MONSTER, its too risky to change to much with its typing and stats too.
@@InfamousTrainer Yeah, I can see one of these three happening, but Game Freak does play favorites, and Ken has always one. I can see them giving it another form.
And I also think G-Max forms don't really matter because we won't really get to see them back until Gen 8 remakes 14-16 years later. Cinder has a chance.
And I think it won't be a problem even if they choose Incin if they refrain from giving it Intimidate. Incin alone isn't the issue. The issue is Incineroar + Intimidate.
I think empolyon is more like an emperor or a king

Dope, thats how I was in PLA with Samurott, I never used it and wasn't a fan but my Samurott named Tanjiro did work!
Same my Decidueye named Decid was great as well he came in clutch during the final phase of Volos battle most of my team had fainted due to putting in work getting Giritina health to 0 on it’s first phase and on its second phase the only 2 Pokemon I had left was Decid and a Raichu I named Rachie it was already in the red and I sent Decid out so if he went down I would still have one Pokemon left, luckily he came in clutch with a strong style leaf blade that cleaved the Dragon of anti matter

Kalos starters with new mega evolutions as the starters is not basic and boring. At all.
Yes it is, again this is my opinion. Keep in mind this game is based around Kalos and Kalos itself only has like 78 Kalos Pokemon of the region. Why not open more options for your starter ALONGSIDE a Mega Greninja, Mega Chesnaught or Mega Delphox. I'm not saying "Mega Starters are BORING". I'm saying this being the starters of this GAME instead of Pokemon we can find rarely in the region like with the Sinnoh Starters then give them Mega's would be MUCH better and give you forms for some Pokemon that could use them

I personally think the same how they did with the mew, mewtwo thing. They might distribute battlebond greninja that actually change form again. Its not the most likely but I would love it.
Personally, I hope not, I truly believe for the most diversity, this would be the route but we'll have to wait and see.

Double dipping though, that Pokemon has a whole Mega and its not like Pokemon would scrap it in a Mega Pokemon returning game. It would be more valid to give another Pokemon some love here.

These were good designs as for what I think the starter trio should be a agree with Piplup as Empoleon is based on napoleon and Drasna of the elite Four’s family originally came from Sinnoh I think the Grass type should be Chikoritta as Gym Leader Valerie originally came from Johto and the fire type Torchic as Rooster is the National animal of France their Kalosion form’s typeing would be Blaziken Fire/Steel Empoleon Water/ Ice and Meganium Grass/ Fairy Meganium fits the Fairy type better than Serpereor and the RPG Classes they would be based off are Blaziken a Lancer/ Dragoon Empoleon paladin Meganium Healer.
These theming fit quite well the only issue is Torchic. I think its just too unfair to put it into the mix due to its already VERY popular and good Mega form. Thats too much double dip and should be given to a Pokemon thats doesn't have anything. I know I used Cinderace but Cinderace is recent enough like how Rowlet was at that time as PLA is a Gen 8 game but also Dynamax lore wise is only exclusive to Galar so we don't have to worry about it invading Kalos.
As far as the starters for PLZ-A, I know the grass starters can't be and reasons Bulbasaur(Mega Venusaur), Treecko(Mega Sceptile), Chespin(Kalos starter for X/Y), Rowlet(PLA starter), for the fire, Charmander(Mega Charizard), Cyndaquil(PLA starter), Torchic(Mega Blaziken), Finniken(Kalos starter for X/Y), for the water starter, Squirtle(Mega Blastoise), Mudkip(Mega Swampert), Oshawatt(PLA starter), Froakie(Kalos starter for X/Y), so in my opinion, the starters will be Snivy, Piplup, and Fuecoco with references for their final evolutions getting variants that reference something different from France and maybe the Louisiana Bayou.
The only issue, while I like these is Fuecoco is just TOO new. I mean he is the most recent game. Atleast PLA waited a Gen before putting it in.
True but there was old leaks that showed that Skeledirge was possibly going to be a Fire/Fairy type but ended up being a Fire/Ghost, so maybe a Creole chef that happens to be a gator. So instead of the bird hatching from Crocolor's egg, maybe the hat changes into a French Chef's hat and that Skeledirge stands up and is dressed like a chef
It may be cool but i do not want gen 8 and gen 9 starters in this. They’re too recent we need oldies to come back and get a revamp. These are the ones i want.
For the grass starters: MEGANIUM, serperior or torterra.
For the fire starters: infernape, emboar or incineroar.
For the water starters: EMPOLEON, primiarina or feraligator.
I feel like legends ZA will be like legends arceus yk have the region starters catchable cuz in arceus we got the sinnoh starters but the main starters were from different regions. (I just really want and need meganium)
Though the whole Gen 8/Gen 9 isn't too valid. Keep in mind Rowlet was a Gen 7 Pokemon in a Gen 8 PLA Game. But I think you have some solid starter choices here.

Second of all im also sort of biased bc NO OFFENSE i don’t rlly like cinderace but also more so we do need older generation starters to come back thats why i chose what i chose. Grass makes sense. Fire char doesn’t need anything no sympathy from me, blaziken alr has a mega, we alr got typhlosion and i alr explained why gen 6 starters shouldn’t be the ones. Water same reason with fire. Im saying im hoping/wondering/guessing the starters of gen 6 will be catchable but not the main starters for the game like Legends Arceus dif pokemon were the main starters while the gen 4 sinnoh starters were catchable in the game. I also dint get why you think my picks dont make sense, what doenst make sense. Not a lot of us are sure when Z-A plays like past present or future most of us are assuming present bc of its design so far. So my picks were of them potentially being mega
It definately feels like Snivy, Scorbunny, and Piplup are the most obvious choices as starters for Legends: Z-A. Though Lockstin's video relating to the potential starters are also good choices. He went with Meganium, Emboar, and Inteleon. As for these three, I have to go with Cinderace. Fire and electric just fits perfectly with it.
Lockstin had some REALLY good ones, I'm open to all options tbh!

I literally said at the end give us BOTH that way you get a new experience with a regional starter just like PLA and find your Kalos starter in the wild and get their Mega Stone in the story. Hence why I said, “Imagine a team led by Kalosian Cinderace and Mega Greninja as an example.

In unova it's really difficult to use it due to the limited matchups grass can handle and the coverage it gets being extremely limited. Have it learn some ground, rock, psychic, poison, and stronger flying and fighting moves in addition to the coverage it has with aqua tail and iron tail, and if it's a regional variant, slap the dragon type on since it can learn quite a few dragon type moves, and it's set to dominate further than it already can in competitive

If we do get to use the gen 6 starters, it's probably gonna be to show off the mechanic of mega evolution and that's it. Unless the starters we actually start with have Megas as well
I don't see them giving us regional starters when the whole gimmick hyped up in the trailer is mega's. Besides regional forms are vastly inferior, in every regard.
But what does that mean, Gen 7 had a WHOLE gimmick around Z-Crystal and still gave us Regional forms. Gen 8 had a WHOLE gimmick with GMAX forms and still gave us many regional forms. Regional forms are not the issue for the gimmick. I'm not saying take the gimmick away I'm saying give you a better experience an a different chance to use starters like in PLA but here in Kalos ALONGSIDE getting your gimmick starter. You find them in the wild just like we did in PLA and later in the story you can get the Mega forms for them as well. I thikn alot of people forget that Kalos introduced like 78 new Pokemon in its debut and that region was so limited, everyones team was the same. As I explained towards the end of the video, why not give me my Kalosian Cinderace and Mega Greninja to really expand how I would play! That's what made PLA more fun as I got to use a NEW Pokemon in Samurott which I never used alongside my favorite Pokemon Infernape on the same team.
@@InfamousTrainer In gen 9 they barely gave us any regional forms, which is the best decision they have made in years in my opinion. I just don't see us getting both new mega forms in this game and regional form starters. The former is way more hype to most people.
