    Just picked up a 94 with no compresion but haven't tore into it yet. Oil dont smell cooked & isnt new so im thinking timing jumped or bent valve. Are these interferance engines (valve hits piston?

      I don't know if they are interference engines but I think they might be. But the first thing I would check (being a kick start model) is to make sure the de-compresion lever is adjusted correctly. If it's to tight it would be holding a valve open. Good luck.

      @umpquaoutdoors got top end off to find that it had dropped the bell
      end off of the left exhaust valve. Huge hole in piston & head looks like it's beyond repair. Hopefully the broken piece didn't punch holes in crank case
