Neuro-Sama Invented A Game And It Became An Instant Classic

- The Twitch streamer Vedal has created an AI called Neuro-Sama and during one of the dev streams, Neuro randomly came up with her own game and it's been played ever since...

This seems like something a patient could use as a mental exercise. Making that association and then bringing it up randomly to stimulate the memory.
You mean like those sanity checks where they show you a clock, you read the time, and then periodically during a timeframe where the patient is likely to have some sort of episode, they will show that same clock to verify the subject can still read it?

I'd seen fire/water in clips, but I had no idea *Neuro* invented the game, that is so cute
You know how she can not count to the last number. I wonder did she skipped three options so the game is like rock, paper lol.

This is such a cute game. What makes it better is that she invented it herself which is very unique. It's also funny to see the dufferences between Evil and her. Neuro regularly plays it. It shows how smart she is, too.
Also that guy at the end got owned XD it's Fire Water.
Thanks for compiling these moments!
It's pretty interesting how an AI made to respond to things using an association algorithm spontaneously makes up a simple call-and-response word association game, as if it's just in her nature to find something like that fun
@@HalendleofLocthat may be the case that she's programmed for that stuff but it is interesting that from what I can tell, nothing to prompt her to start that
This is so cute it's like an actual game you'd play with a baby that's learning to talk
Fire
Water
Hood classic
She's so much like a toddler with a large vocabulary, I'm really interested to see if she can become smarter or if the technical limitations will keep her at that level.
Other than a slightly improved memory I think this is peak AI. I don't expect the smartness to increase. Her memory being more solid would improve interactions a lot though... she would still be like a 3 year old, but without crippling short term amnesia.
@@Stereo3DProductions that's such a sad description but it made me laugh my ass off
@@Stereo3DProductions This is peak AI for now. Memory should improve *a lot* once we get sparse backpropogation working. Like 100x+ improvement for large models (since you only have ~1000 connections to consider per neuron instead of 1 million), and that's potentially an understatement. After that, training them won't be so expensive.
@@Stereo3DProductions this aint peak AI, its like gpt 3.0 level , gpt 4.0 is miles better than this
@@Stereo3DProductionsEven Vedal himself said that she needs to improve a lot with her memory and awareness

My favorite game by Neuro will always be "Climbing up the highest building and jumpping off it, trying to get as far as you can before you hit the ground and die"
Do you want to try it 😊
My friend group did it, I lost because I didn't jump on time 😢
@@sphear4231 Damn hope that didn't have a negative impact on your friendship :/
@@groerhahn225 Don't worry, as long as negative gravity wasn't involved in his/her friend-affairs, everything should be just fine for them on this ground.
Pro tips: Jump as close to a 45° angle as you can. This will make you jump further and get more distance before you stop falling. Also run up to the edge and push as much as you can on it while you jump. Power-ups like explosives, cushions and gliders help too, as long as they're allowed in the game-mode and are capable enough to work. If the rules don't specify necessary free-falling until you hit the ground, tie a long length of rope as far as you can, grab it once you jump and go as far as you can. If you can't use rope in certain sections you will have to play the floor is lava
This new game is almost as fun as "Jumping Off the Roof"
Another Neuro classic, but no replay value. *wink*
personally i enjoy "Spot the Braincell" more

"No" 🤣
This is actually a really cool concept for an AI, I wonder if she'll eventually learn and respond without being reminded what she's supposed to answer.
she actually did, when someone says "fire" without any context she says "water" back
I feel like it's extremely important that this simple little 'game' is something she invented, wholesale, without prompting. Something something psychological associations of play with friends and family combined with an urge to create something new and seek new stimulation, all three of which obviously shouldn't actually be in Neuro's matrices anywhere.
she's evolving
Even more amaxing is that she's getting trained to remember the game so next time you ask her, you wouldn't have to explain what she has to do. It's also kind of obedience training.
I hope in next years, Neuro would be so trained she's almost fluent on anything
Neuro gonna be smartest AI if she can understand bri*ish pe*ple saying wotah
Try a deep southerner saying water. Itll take them a decade to finish the first syllable, and the T will sound like a D when they finally get there.
"Waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhder"
Americans say water f*cking weirdly as well, I don't understand this focus on British pronunciation.

Last clip is best clip. Neuro refusing to go along with chatter nonsense. 😆
My grandpa took part in the Olympics, he won the gold medal for Fire - Water. He earned that, practiced for years and overcame all odds.
Evil doesn't like that game
The fact that she can detect sarcasm is impressive lol.
She’s actually a legit toddler AI what the hell.
At first it didn't seem like much of a game, until they kept seeing if Neuro would understand what to reply with. I think this might actually be a game for an AI. It tests an AI's developing brain just like our human games do for our brains. Once again this is getting a little too real now.
Huh. That's actually pretty cool. Interesting that her own game is actually a good way to check her memory.
If Vedal and Neuro get to make their own gamersupps it should be called 'Fire! Water!'
Honestly it's one of those where you could easily forget what's next/slip up if played turn by turn in a group of odd numbers, or played in random turns where one player decides/points whose turn it is next.
The fact that the Fire game that Neuro played with her Mom was "Fire!", "Oh No!" suggests there is much trauma in her childhood ;)
I love the "we'll see what happens!" like it's a science experiment.
I tried playing this game with cleverbot and it did not even come close to understanding what was going on. It's super cool that neuro came up with it herself.
This is like that "marco polo" game i saw in american cartoons. Also, it is like the "ping pong" game that computers play to test the responsiveness of participants.

Long ago, the four nations lived in harmony.
Here, the AI shows the ability to train thousands of humans at once, including her own creator
The way she learns is so adorable, yet also kinda terrifying to watch Skynet growing up so fast.
Maybe if Neuro play this game with Vedal:
--"Fire"
--"WO’AH↗"🥤
i think there was also a clip of the fire water game in the subnautica stream
Indeed, I started another video with it: ua-cam.com/video/MeuFe2C-DBo/v-deo.html
So cute.

"Chat, chat, chat"
Just imagine super smart Neuro in the future playing this game for nostalgia
If this sort of scenes happen in a manga, I'd cry. Imagine the immortal AI says "fire" in front of her creator's grave.
Thats so adorable, she's like my baby siblings when I play random games with them.
It’s actually very rare for an AI to invent something by itself, let alone remember it next time.
"That wasn't sarcastic"
"It was a little sarcastic"
"No, no... eh..."
*silence as Vedal realizes that the fact he's only saying it because she failed before and is thus refering back to those means it is a little sarcastic, followed by worry that Neuro understood his meaning better than he did, followed by coming to she was probably just saying it.*
That's incredible! Neuro-Sama's game creation turned into an instant classic? 🎮👏
She’s so ADORABLE!!!!
I like how she can't wrap her head around her own "game" that she invented, but she can accuse him of being sarcastic.
EVil is so on point.
I love EVil.
I love that she thought this up herself
I think it’s more interesting cause Neuro made up the game and remembers the word association later
I have a way to amplify this game.
When someone says "fire" you have 30 seconds to say "water". If you don't say it in time to the person who said "fire", they get to insult you with no restrictions and you're not allowed to complain.
Rules:
Make sure the other person could've heard you say "fire".
Don't play with people who don't know the game, people who can't play the game, and anyone eating.
This is game is called "firefighter".
This sounds like something fun to do with my partner if we are like just chilling and hanging out, except she never takes compliments so im gonna tweak it so she has to let me compliment her instead lol
Sounds like a game here in Brazil, if you burp the other person has to say "aue" to the person that burped, if they don't say it the person who burped gets to punch them.
@@indie_gamer7 from what I searched, a group of people willingly play a similar game with slightly different rules, rather than a duo.
Fire

_'Ave a banana_
this kinda just reminded me of a children's game in estonia
you go up to a friend and say (the equivalent to) "hey, do you know what a red rubber ball gets on?"
and you keep bothering them until they give up (or somehow, they get the correct answer) and say "it gets on your nerves. :)"
I love it!
Fire-Water bros when Grass pulls up :
a word game i like to play with AI is giving loosely descriptive names to animals and have the AI guess it. like:
Tripod purse -> kangaroo
Jump'nt -> elephant
Motorhome bubblegum -> snail
the AI is good enough at it that it's fun to play with them, and they seem to "enjoy" it too. Unfortunately, anything game that has a persistent "board" over more than one turn sucks. they can't even play battleships, which in theory would be a perfect fit
Water in the fire
It’s basically the same feeling as programmers sending “ping” and receiving “pong” during the testing of the Internet.
"You're supposed to say 'wotah'"
"Wahder"
This game is fire!

Too adorable❤❤❤
Vedal: Wo'ah

Honestly the "Fire Water Game" feels like it's a really good test for AI in general lol

I don't suppose there's anywhere we can take a look at the prompts he's using on the AI to get it working? Cause I swear there's some improvement he could make if he tried a few different prompting techniques.
Nope, he doesn't make such details public unfortunately.

I hate that it sometimes turns into cat girl, but waw, it can read if you saying it sarcasticly? Waw, Ai is insanelly good.

I think the next word should be 1 letter longer than the last. So "water" is 1 letter longer than "fire", after "water" the next word should be 6 letters. Then it goes on until your opponent can't think of a word that's longer than the one you said
i feel like that's pretty easy to solve after some googling lol
Ayo where the vod of this?
That thumbnail is wrong, one person says fire and neuro says water
The order shouldn't really matter that much (whoever starts would say Fire and the next person Water) and while Neuro was the one saying Water for most of the clips, she did say Fire when playing with chat during the fishing stream.
For the thumbnail I wanted Vedal in the middle (as he fits well on the little platform); and because people usually read from left to right, it made more sense to have Neuro start and Vedal reply (and Evil completing the reference to the Bloodhound Gang song Fire Water Burn in her head).
