- BremSter solves "Counting Sum Lines" by Jolly Rogers.
This Sudoku uses the Counting Sum Lines constraint.

📋 Puzzle Rules:
• Normal Sudoku rules apply.
• The sum of the digits on a line indicates how many lines in the grid sum to that total.
E.g if the digits on a line sum to 10, there must be 10 lines which sum to 10.
Digits may repeat on a line if allowed by other rules.

That was one of those puzzles that seemed to be impossible, not once but twice. I have learned that perseverence is the way and indeed it fell out very nicely.

Perfect level of difficulty! Just hard enough to feel accomplished but not so hard as to want to tear your hair out.
This broke my brain, but in a good way! I got the opening in a decent time, then several times missed basic sudoku that left me briefly scratching my head... but did finish in 14:16 (conflict checker off), so I guess I didn't do too bad! 😄 Many thanks to Jolly Rogers for a great puzzle, and to BremSter for presenting it!

IT is slightly easier (and at least for me prettier) to see the 3 diagonal lines as a set, with 5 digits in both box 3 and 7 and 3 in box 5. That is at least 2*15+6=36, so the line sum is at least 12.
Once again, I am so jealous. Fabulous puzzle.
8+6 does NOT equal 11. KNOWLEDGE BOMB! ;)
In my brain sometimes it does. Which I understand is a problem.
Maybe this is why I am bad at poker.
At 10:52 What is the minimum sum of the blue cells? Solves using mathematics.

13:41 not as hard as I was expecting. The lines could be only 2 and 12, 3 and 11, 4 and 10. Boxes 3, 5 and 7 need to have the higher sums so with 10 and 11 sums we couldn't make the box 5 line. The only remain option is 2 and 12. We know the only 2 possible places for the 2 sums. The rest was sudoku. 😅

“Deadly pattern”=“uniqueness”
Yes I heard that if you find a deadly pattern emerging then uniqueness tells you that you need to avoid that but it's advised to find a solution without using that
