Hi guys! Myles has been recording the reassembly of his 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury project for us... Today we get a look at the interior going back in the car, and then he's on to the front suspension, which is getting a full rebuild... I am sure looking forward to a full road test and review as soon as the car is finished... Thanks so much to Myles for recording the process for us... Cheers buddy! Hope you enjoy... See you on Saturday for the SOS... Cheers! When I was a kid. We lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The next door neighbor had two 1966 plymouth fury III two door hardtop just like yours. One was red like yours and a dark turquoise one. I don't remember the husband but the wife had silver hair and was very pretty. My dad drove a 1962 ford ranch wagon. I never understood why our car was never high class like our neighbors. 😊
Very good, Miles. Very, very good. This is a prime example of a smart, driver's quality resto that you can enjoy without sacrificing your portfolio in doing so. You picked your battles wisely, concentrating on the work that had to be done. I'm sure you will finish it well, and, most importantly, dial in everything correctly so you can actually ENJOY driving it. So many high ticket restos fall miserably short of the goal of achieving a solid, quiet, comfortable ride. Bravo, Sir. You and all the Boys are top shelf restorers. Lee
Greetings from B.C., Scott: Great to see Myles holding court with the camera, because after all, he is a prince of a guy...he's got that classic Fury looking fantastic!
I really like the way Myles does his commentary style. Great progress on the rebuild / restoration of the Fury. Really look forward to seeing the completed car.
Nice work Miles! Congrats on busting those upper ball joints out without an extension! I rarely was that lucky in. The 15 years I was in the front end business. Nice car and the Keystones will be the perfect touch on that lovely ride! Btw, I was sitting on pins and needles hoping you would replace those lower control arm bushings. When they go they can go quickly and take those front tires right with them. Yup I learned that the hard way lol. Nice work!
Thanks Brian! Appreciate the support. Those inners are a bitch, so i lean on my buds garage to swap those guys. Torches, air saws, and finally press them out. Worth it tho,
That brings back memories, in 1966 my older brother bought his new '66 Plymouth Sport Fury and he gave me his 1963 Sport Fury. The '66 was more luxurious than the '63. That was back in the day when you could "special order" a car from the factory, built the way you wanted it. Both of our Fury's were special order ones.
Awesome job, Myles! So much detail, and you nailed it all. It's a good thing you have long winters for these kind of projects. Thanks for filming all the updates. Cheers!
A big "Thank You" to Myles for keeping us updated with the progress of his 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury! It is coming along very well and looking great! Hope to see it out and about in some near future videos.
Scott, though I realize that your hand also went into Myles Fury rebuild along the way he's really up for a major due diligence award for persistence and great attention to detail! What a beautiful job! Mega Cheers for Myles, yourself and of course Frankers who will only honor the backseats of the finest rigs! Looking forward to Saturday!
Hope Miles did some tape measuring before tearing the frontend down. Interior looks great. More Class in the rear seating area then new cars have today.
Thanks Myles for filming your hard work. The car is gonna be great when all is done. Alot of work, but it's worth it. Looks really nice thus far. Thanks.
Hi everyone thanks Scott and Myles for this video the 1966 sport Fury is an awesome car it looks great love the old Keystone mags you do not see them on cars much anymore always glad to see FRANKERS a big 👍up to Myles cheers till Saturday.👍✌❤🍺
One more good looking 66 plymouth sport about to hit the road. I miss my 67 plymouth vip. Mint car that went thrue hell and back many times while in my possession.
It's always a pleasure when You share time in the shop Myles. It will be worth every bit of effort You are putting into the steering parts on the Fury. Thanks for the Thursday edition of Same Old Shit Studios. Best Wishes to everyone at Cold War Motors, their Families and Friends.
Awesome results Myles. I'm so impressed that you, Scott, and the rest of the gang are so through...no bullshit "That's good enough" crap. Perfectionists! Bravo.
Thanks Myles, the front end work brings back memories of a Fury ( also red) years ago. I “cheated” , using a cheater pipe on the handle of my breaker bar to loosen those upper ball joints. They don’t want to leave the car.
Great job Myles. On the car and the video. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I’ve been waiting for this update and am anxious for all 64.9K of us to take that drive with you. Don’t rush it though, I love your Bob Ross approach to tasks. 👍💯
@@mylesmoparfreak6562 YW Myles. I used to watch those Motor Trend shows with their fake deadlines, fake catastrophic setbacks and fake panic attacks. You, Scott and all of the other agents are a breath of fresh air. Love that Fury! I owned a beautiful 67 Sports Fury until it was T-boned by a Pepsi truck running the light three years ago.
Great job Myles! That Sport Fury will be like a New/used car. Hope you enjoyed it for a long time, you did a magnificent job with the help of Scott of course. Great car guys!
Myles Mopar! What a great job of everything including the video!! Congrats on your restoration of that FURY.. you learned well from Scott on the Bodywork! I know that mechanicaly you are an expert, but it is good to see you do a great job of STRETCHING yourself to learn more! Scott is a great teacher and it is so wonderful how he shares his knowledge! But you ARE the MOPAR man of the year! Cheers! Rich
Very interesting and consequential installment on the Sport Fury. Love that 60s body style. The school nurse at my grammar school in the States drove a medium metallic blue one, and I was always in awe of the Fury and the driver! Can't wait to see "Big Red" on the road, Myles!
Great video Myles on your Plymouth. Your attention to detail is at the top of the line for us home mechanics. Awaiting the completion of the front end rebuild.
Growing up, had a neighbor/friend in the early '70s who had a '66 that looked a LOT like this one.. I remember well all the fun times he had in it, drag racing up and down our very long street. Thanks guys, for the awesome memories!
8:45 I know a guy with a sewing machine who has experience with Fury seats. He is kind of scruffy but does good work. He may redo the seats for free content, I dunno...
I like the "Commando V8" emblems on the fenders. Back in 63 our neighbor had a new Fury with "Golden Commando Power" emblems on the fenders which meant the mighty 383 was under the hood. This 66 is really a sweet ride. Hope you can find some matching fabric for the front seats. I've seen black available but not the red. Can't wait for the reveal!

Man, i tried the big crescent and pipe thing, but it rubbed off a corner, instead of leaving the car, so good on you.
Myles's 'OH YEAH ' when the second ball joint nut let go was palpable. I think we have all been there and know that feeling.
Such a good feeling!
Thanks!
