I was hoping the monolith would turn monkeys into humans (like in 2001 Space Odyssey where all the monkeys start freaking out and start using tools)

I assumed the monolith might be some type of religious feature in the future, I think there's a temple technology that exists but I don't know if temples actually do anything, I think in the future religion might be a thing and monoliths might serve as like holy sites on map and it attracts the people to fight over them similar to how a zombie might be attracted to the brain mechanic. It might also grant status effects or buffs if they control them I imagine.
That's my theory at least on what it might be for

@@ShadyLife101 wrong, wikipedia is literally constantly fact checked by official sources CONSTANTLY, teachers also once taught us that different parts of our tongue taste different things, but that has been disproven several times just like saying wikipedia isnt a reliable source has been disproven, if wikipedia wasnt reliable, then it wouldnt exist.

I wish to add the daily night and day feature, and add the male and female feature so that the king and queen can be differentiated, and also add the feature of a wedding ceremony between kingdoms or inside the kingdom, when there is an event that will affect the kingdom
Ages? Time moves too faster otherwise. Also there are genders, but no queens

the monolith might be a 2001: a space odyssey easter egg of sorts as the "flocking" people over to it is from the opening scene in the movie
So I put a monolith down today and when I checked back in on it my dwarves suddenly had 4 more monoliths around it I wonder if it’s going to create some religious zealots in the future. Also all my dwarves suddenly got the wise trait. At least the ones that go to it.
It’s just kinda like a tourist attraction I love it!
when you use the "war whisper" power the king of that faction will get a special "voices in my head" trait.

It caused people to have madness in my game after a little time, probably why it’s outline is red on its image too. Not everyone would go mad but a decent amount.
It was a new game, age of hope. About 15 mins into the new world I put one in each country on the map. The dwarves didn’t take long before 20 of their population went mad, the elves were next up but not as many turned. I never saw how it affected my humans and orcs however but the orcs went mad at some point I know for a fact, ended up burning their whole kingdom down.
(I mean I just assume it was the monolith since madness spread so much and was always happening near monoliths, maybe just bad luck with random event generator that comes with the base game)
The monolith has no code. People only get close to it
@@epRivera must have some level of code to make mobs wanna get near it, did you open the code itself and read through it? Or was it stated somewhere officially? Perhaps it’s unfinished or meant to just be a random thing people can slap down. Idk what was causing mass madness everywhere in my game then, didn’t think it was a coincidence that madness happened right next to these monoliths either, but I guess so.
what would really seal the deal about this being a god simulator is if they can make it so that they worship the player, like make it so that a religion is created about you

in 2001 space odyssey the monolith that is in the beginning is a sign of evolution. its why the monkeys turned into humans that travel space. so maybe the monolith will be a thing that helps humans evolve into a more advanced civilization 🤔
It would be cool if in the next world box update they would add messiahs and prophets that could be selected as a trait or as it’s own unit and they would create religions for you the creator.

I Spawned the monolith near a bunch of monkeys and waited like 1000 in game years for them to evolve
I experimented to put a lot of monolith in an area, and that area was hit by a freaking asteroid randomly
i use it for decoration lol
though you needed to place it during that monolith month

This video was made before the 0.22 update that was Introduced yesterday… the red rings are a new effect put in with the 0.22 update this video is about the 0.21 update
