The way that he kind of breaks on "I'll be there" after screaming 5 seconds earlier makes me wanna cry. It's also so beautiful when he talks through "Just be real is all I'm asking, not some painting in my head. Cause I'm dead if I can't count on you today", but on 'today', he starts to transition into a beautiful singing voice with vibrato. I love him so much
Tbh you can tell Jeremy has loved this role/song all his life. Not only is he a phenomenal actor and singer but he KNOWS Jack in a way I think most don't. You can see that he put so much thought into his performance even in the clips out there of the pre-papermill reading when it was still the new, sadder version of the song. Corey also did an excellent job (especially since it was his debut) and Joey is up there too. They both seem to pick up on the raw anger, fear, regret, etc that Jeremy originated without just copying his performance.
Jeremy Jordan there were so many aspects that made him the best. His voice and how steady and strong he was, the emotion that he brought in just a few words and his voice to the tune
im honestly at a four way split between jeremy, corey, joey, and christian lmao. jeremy is the broadway one im used to, and his vocals are extremely good and emotional. corey also has a lot of emotion and genuinely i love his voice. joey in his performance was also really good! like, i love his emotions in it as well. and christian has a different vibe to it- and considering hes the original jack kelly, i say he def has a spot in my list! christian's is calmer and less sad, more dreamy i would say. theres a dreamlike quality to all of them but christian's especially. i cant even rank them, theyre all so good. christian's is underrated imo.
How interesting I felt like christians felt more sad. Melodically speaking, I felt a sadder vibe in the way he ends it on the octave down instead of belting his heart out. It felt as though he gave up, and at a loss of energy. This is just my opinion though. I still prefer Jeremy's haha
Corey and Jeremy were the ones I grew up with. My parents took me to Newsies in 2018. But the first one I ever listened to was Christian. He holds a special place in my heart.
@@MusicalTheaterGeek24601Bale, the bridge specifically isn't as good but the original version feels genuine while Broadway sounds a bit too much like acting.
I know this video is old but I just wanna say for all future Jack Kelly’s that it’s important to stay grounded in the last note of Santa Fe remember that less is more. There’s a kid in there that sound amazing but moved across the stage before the note. It felt awkward make sure that your movements have purpose.
ik like the third one was kinda bad ngl, his voice in fine but the technique... and the fact that they had everyone come in on the sides and sing for the end made it weird and ruined the moment
@@ethancoulter9305 I found the full production of Kyle- it’s a performing arts school. The vocals were fire, but for some reason the music director decided to slow down every single song and it annoyed the crap out of me. Like I’ve been singing these songs since middle school, and they aren’t hard… slowing them down is completely unnecessary!
Idk if it would be considered pitch correcting or not bc in an interview before the premiere of the movie, Jeremy said that he sang Santa Fe like 8 times before the live performance to get the closeups for the song, and as a result, had weakened his voice. The note at the end was still him singing, just from a different take. The editing on it just really sucks.
Which version of Santa Fe is this? Kyle’s by far my favorite in the prologue version. That’s just how it works for me. But this version it’s a close tie between Jeremy and Christian. I like Jeremy’s sudden mood swing, but I also like the dreaminess in Christian’s voice. All of them are dreamy, but Christian takes the cake for the dreamiest.
Jeremy Jordan will always be the best one in my opinion, I don’t rlly like Christian’s version, it feels more singer songwriter-y than from a musical, I understand he’s not a singer and therefore doesn’t have the same vocal range as broadway actors do, but it just feels kinda boring to me, it’s great, but I will always love Jeremy Jordan’s version most
christian bale lol makes me wanna rip my eardrums out. not just the lyrics but WHEN HE DOESNT SING THE LAST NOTE (ik thats just not right for his voice but still lol

@@otiwolly_ ik it was different. its just what im used to. and IM SORRY BUT JEREMY JORDAN ATE. christian bale is an amazing actor, just not the best singer

jeremy goes from extremely aggressive to depressed in two seconds and it’s honestly amazing
I agree!!!
well, he IS a scorpio so
Jeremy brings so much emotion to it. I think he is the best one.
I agree!
He IS Jack Kelly 100%! I don’t care what anyone else says!

This video - bridge comparison
Christian Bale - horse
Note about Corey's performance in this; it was like his second day playing Jack, and was his first Broadway in the Park perfoemance
Jeremy all the way, with how much emotion he brings to the table, i don't think theres much competition

Jeremy hands down. His emotions are incredible
Jerjor legit sounds like he's having a breakdown
jeremy jordan is by far the best

Antonio Cipriano kills this too but nobody can touch Jeremy Jordan
Mike Faist. There’s no video but there’s audio and he’s awesome.

Clayton Lukens for sure no arguments will be accepted. Cute too

Jeremy gives the song so much more depth and emotion and without a doubt, he’s the best one.
Jeremy Jordan
jeremy jordan
Jeremy Jordan always
OH MY GOD COREY AND JEREMY AHHHH
Jeremy Jordan is vary good singing, I glad that Hazbin Hotel had him to voice Lucifer.
Jeremy. He's remarkable. His only rival on Broadway now is Jonathan Groff. But Kyle is the hottest. Looks like a young Matt Dillon.
Jeremy is the best100% the others are good but jeremy jordan is just something special
where did you find the clip of clayton??
Cool! Jeremy’s voice is Spectacular!! At 1:49, where’s Kyle’s version at? I would love to hear his voice too.

Not being rude in any way but all the third person's notes were flat and he showed emotion at the wrong times.
Tbh none of them compare to Jeremy, next to him hey sound like your high school musical lol 💕
(but I LOVE 1992 Newsies 💕)
Ok but where is Dan Deluca ????
Christian Bale did amazing job at singing Santa fe for the Newsies
