Helge Rademacher Yes and No, No Aldi is actually a German supermarket/ store, but I will not use the word German brand for Aldi if I was you my friend 🙂😎✌️
Thumb rule for German snacks: Peanuts are usually in salty or savoury snacks (the ones where this isn't the case are usually adapted from American snacks), for sweet snacks we prefer Hazelnuts and Almonds. And in general you don't need to worry too much about spices. For some reason Germany is pretty low on the spice scale. I guess mostly because the really spicy stuff doesn't grow in the climate, so the German palate isn't used to it. This is reflected in the food which is available. And since it isn't as hot, we are also not into overly sweet stuff. So the cola is indeed less sweet over here.
I was typing a German written comment that was made on this video to google translate & I was like I wonder what this is! That’s cool! Took me a while to find it on my keyboard lol thank you for educating me on that!

Awesome!! Thank you for that! I think that the English language is such a strange thing! Vowels have multiple sounds & then there are certain rules that make the pronunciation different 🙃 Germany has it figured out! Each letter has ONE sound! lol and I will definitely agree that soda (and everything else in America) is wayyyy to sweet & a lot sweeter than the other snack crates we have tried! We never drink soda because it’s so stinking sweet but most of the ones we get in the snack crate are very nice! Thank you for answering our question! 😁
@@LeighAnnStancil You´re welcome...and about the german language...yes the german pronunciation is way easier to learn than english (but we are learning in school british-english which is a bit different than US english..and meanwhile I´m mixing that up a little bit especially in matter of certain terms but that´s another story)..but on the other hand the english grammar and sentence-structure is way way more easier than in german..So at the end those 2 languages evens themselves out from a learning point of view. And by the way I´m Austrian and not German and therefore we speak in a different german dialect to be precise for the whole country in 9 different dialects. But in Germany are also many different german dialects in place as well. Meaning generally those Germans from the north barly understand the Germans from the south and vice versa when they speak in their natural dialect.... to be precise we Austrians understand the southern Germans way better than the northern Germans do ...but therefore exists a standard german language version which is taught in german and austrian schools and also taught for anybody else in the world who likes to learn german. But back to the snacks if there is also a box of Austrian snacks out there then I suggest to try them as well. Although Austria is way more famous for our fresh pastry and our good food in general. There are a couple of travel vlogs of Austria especially Vienna (my homecity) on youtube which confirms that.
in germany we have a problem. many americans come to us. then they start to eat. when your vacation is over. their journey back to the usa is delayed. they are no longer suitable for the plane.😂😂😎😂😂
You can buy Knoppers at Aldi stores in America. They might also have those chips in hungarian style (or paprika) flavor you liked, probably not from the same brand though.
cant speak for the US Aldi, but we have those same Chips in our Aldi´s in Germany. If they dont have it in the US, they probably have another "Paprika/Hugarian" Style Chip .. they mostly taste the same in Germany, the difference between "Brand" and "No Brand" isnt that big when it comes to chips here ^^
The US Aldi is slightly different because they did their market research. But they might have it, they have a lot of German sweets because they sell well in the US. They might have a harder time to convince Americans that "Paprika" is a good flavour for chips.
That was so sweet to see! Did you get the chance to order more german candy and snacks since you opened this box? We do have alot of snacks and candy you may also like (ok, we do have alot of stuff you will may not). Greetings from germany 😁
Yeah, we germans take our snacks very seriously. xD Kinder Bueno is my favourit too. Knoppers is on second place. ^^ I'm sure that there are also some you wouldn't like or would find very strange, too.

1. The chips: Chipsfrisch is a brand name potato-chip in Germany. They have a lot of flavours and varieties of chips. "Ungarisch" means "Hungarian" which is Germanys default seasoning for chips. It mostly consists of paprika powder (dried bellpepper). 2. The fruity rice puffs are an incredibly cheap snack with an artificial taste. Not very popular. 3. "Zartbitterschokolade" means dark chocolate. It's one of those famous German compound words. Zart I would tranlate into "mild" or "delicate" bitter means bitter and Schokolade is chocolate. Don't try to pronounce every part of the word at once, but see that those are originally 3 words. Makes it easier. Now the "Z" in Zart is pronounced like a "ts" in tsunami. art like the english word art. bitter is basically pronounced the same only German pronounces the "t" harder (like in English" to, two...) And Schokolade I can't explain. Sorry. 4. Schwipp Schwapp. It's a mix of Pepsi and their orange soda. Coca Cola offers a mix of Coke and Fanta by the name of "Mezzo Mix". Both are American companies but they don't sell it in the US. I could understand it, if Americans didn't like it, but there are so many youtube-videos by American tourists and Americans in Germany that say "you have to try this" It doesn't make sense to me that you don't have that in the US. Hope I helped.
I guess they sell it in Germany because it was a "thing" in Germany to mix Cola and Fanta on parties (we called in "Kalter Kaffee" - Cold Coffee back then, because its colour), and some guy thought "well, if Germans like the mix THAT much, let's sell a pre-mixed version to them". Personally I prefer to do my own mix.
