Many years ago, I was given a bucket full of Octopus to use for bait for fishing Halibut. I cut some up and gave it to my two cats. My cat Spike who was never big on eating ate a dish full of chopped raw Octopus. The noises he made while chewing on it were hilarious. He demanded more. He finally was satisfied after eating 3 big dish fulls! Only thing I've ever seen him demand more of.

Yep. I’m American and I grew up eating boiled octopus tentacles. I literally would bring them to school as a snack. My mom sometimes chopped them into little disks for me but I always asked her to leave the small ends whole to freak people out with them. I loved it lmao
Unfortunately I never cooked it as it was already pre-cooked at Whole Foods. They would slice off a few tentacles for my mom and she'd pack them into my lunches. Personally, I always ate it as is. It was just boiled in lightly salted water, though personally I always added a little Herbamare salt ontop.

Unfortunately I never cooked it as it was already pre-cooked at Whole Foods. They would slice off a few tentacles for my mom and she'd pack them into my lunches.
Personally, I always ate it as is. It was just boiled in lightly salted water, though personally I always added a little Herbamare salt ontop.

Haha, yea! They’re so slippery and can compress so well they’re hard to hold. I’d hate to as well though it looks a bit fun. It looks so squishy you just wanna play with it but I restrain as I respect the dead and playing with bodies is kinda disrespectful..
