Truly amazing what humans can accomplish when they have an instrument. First the inspiration to write a piece. Second would be getting people who truly have a desire to play. Why, it’s because they’ll pour absolute focus towards fulfilling what is written on a piece of paper. Third and the final part, pouring emotion behind what they play. Nothing can replicate an emotion of a human that pours it all into an instrument. Music is the universal language of the soul and an instrument is how we communicate.

Wow . . . Born from Ashes . . . really just got me in the feels. I enjoy so much listening to TME uploads. The cinematography was also very well done, with closeups of the four original players, and then a wide angle of the rest as they joined in. I just love this.

a village burns. a woman screams. a child is born in the midst of that tragedy. her mother dies, and her father, consumed by guilt, raises the child for revenge.

she learns to manipulate and gain every advantage in order to reach the high courts of the nobleman responsible for the fire that took her mother.

she befriends and seduces the nobleman's son to gain access to the palace.

what she doesn't bank on is the son falling in love with her. the son realizes what she's there for and his heart breaks as he understands he was just a pawn in her plan.

As the heir, he is part of it, whether his compliance was out of ignorance or not. And to her, it's unforgiveable. She is the BloodAvenger.

the guards have surrounded the room and the only thing keeping them at bay is the knife she has to the son's throat. she begins speaking in a long-forbidden language. the guards realize what she is and rush in, but she vanishes from their grasp at the last second.
*13:46** - Salvatore Maccarrone - I'm Still Waiting For Your Call*
The young nobleman tells everything to his father who is appalled at the daring one of the peasants had to take his own son hostage. The son asks if what the woman said about his ancestry was true. The father warns him of asking questions or he too may be accused of witchcraft being that no one has ever confronted a magic-user and survived.
The son ponders all this as he stares out of the window he imagines she must have escaped from, wondering if she remembers him, and if she'll come back.
He thinks back to how they became friends. How much of it was real?

_Narrator: "But she didn't stop."_
He needs to see her again. He follows the marshals tasked with tracking her down and finds them threatening and abusing a group of people demanding that they reveal the avenger's location. One person already lies dead on the ground.
He remembers her words and now sees the reality in front of him. He attacks. After taking down four of his own soldiers, he's knocked to the ground. The last two marshals recognize him, but are ready to run him through, saying they'll just blame the villagers and have the whole place burned to the ground, including the people he was trying to defend. They jeer at him through masked helmets, but just then, the BloodAvenger shows up.
*19:42** - Ghostwriter Music - Abandon*
She fights and defeats the marshals, but when she turns back to the nobleman, he sees no mercy in her eyes. Some people are shouting that it's his blood that must be shed, that he's the real reason for their misery.
The BloodAvenger glances at someone in the crowd, then back at the nobleman.
_She'll save me,_ he fervently believes. _She has to!_
*She walks away.*
The crowd rushes in, grabbing and pulling at him, but two more marshals appear and chase them off. He's dragged away.
Noble's son or not, he knows he murdered 4 palace guards in cold blood. However, the repeating memory of her face as she abandoned him is worse than the thought of his impending death, so he barely notices when he's thrown in a dark cell underground.
_this garbage attempt at a story feels like it's getting increasingly crappier.. sigh... guess i'll see it through, unfortunately_
21:48 - Elephant Music - Deception
He's questioned relentlessly in the darkness. Why was he there? What was his goal? Why kill the soldiers? Why was he following the woman? What is his plan? They ask him to betray her, to swear to be their double agent and deliver her. They promise freedom and the avoidance of perpetual shame on his family name.
He refuses it all.
"Take me back to those people. Let them kill me," he says, "it's only fair, after all."
*23:52** - Eternal Eclipse - Dirt and Fire*
He's bound and dragged back outside in front of a crowd. He stumbles and tastes earth, suddenly aware that his hands have never been dirty. The soldier pulling him along forces him back on his feet.
They've lit a fire. Standing in front of it, the marshals once again demand that he answer them; work with them. Is he really willing to let these filthy peasants kill him?
He turns to the crowd.
"I..."
They quiet, but continue to seethe. It's been years since a noble condescended to speak to them.
"I didn't know. But that doesn't exonerate me. If I could... could undo..." He knows there's no point in wishing. "I can't undo what's been done, but if my death can help... helps ease your grief and your anger... blood for blood... then..." He trails off, overcome by emotion, and turns back to the fire. He takes a step towards it as clouds gather and darken the sky.
26:01 - Salvatore Maccarrone - A Rainy Day
One of the guards stops him, stepping in front of him. She takes off the masked helmet as his eyes widen in recognition, her piercing stare inscrutable, and draws her sword. As the rain drenches them, scattering the crowd, he holds his breath.
The BloodAvenger cuts through the rope on his wrists. As she begins to walk away again, he shouts to her, "Wait!"
This time, she does.
29:19 - Ghostwriter Music - Stars Apart
"What do you want, Nobleson?" (i promise i'll come up with a name soon, probably)
He stares at her, not sure what to say. Why did he follow her? What did he hope would happen?
She turns to him suddenly in the rain.
"Do you suppose one act can redeem a century of blood? You are the living embodiment of our pain, the symbol of a system of oppression."
"I am not like them! I didn't know about-"
"You are exactly them. Head in the sand, everything handed to you and you never once asked where it came from. You've never met a peasant in your entire life!"
He reaches for her and yanks her close.
"I met you."
"I didn't let them kill you, but I wanted to; I almost did. I wanted to let you walk into the fire to balance against the scale of the thousands of us you've slaughtered. I wanted to see your blood on my sword."
"Why didn't you?"
She looks in his eyes and fights against the compassion she feels. The relationship she built with him was not entirely false, but that didn't necessarily mean it was real.
"We come from two very different worlds, an entire universe of stars apart."
She pulls away from him and disappears into the rain.
