The garden looks great, Ovi! I think all the rain has gotten the best of mine, some things are dying off- my cucumbers and squash are done. This usually doesn’t happen this early for me.
Hi Aaron. I have seen the same thing with my squash plants, they are done. A little early this year. I didn't get as many squashes as last year or the the year before. Don't forget, Latin Fest next Saturday in Albany. My wife and I will be there.
@@oviduran yes, as far as I know, Tina and I will be there also. I’ll text you when we’re there. Tina and I aren’t drinkers but we’ll certainly met up with you and your wife for a minute and have a Jerritos.
We grow Blue Adirondack potatoes. I have several patches around the yard and they come back every year for us. In the garden bed we grow Reds and Yucon Gold potatoes. This year we harvested 80lbs. Garlic we grow Red Chesnok and Siberian in a 15 foot by 4 foot bed and it gives us enough for the year with plenty to replant in Oct. 31st. We have a ton of volunteer tomatoes around the backyard and the chickens and ducks help themselves to the tomatoes. When I cook sauce, ketchup or salsa to can, the chickens get all the seeds and skins and bad bits as well as the cores. They go crazy for it. We have several areas that we grow for the chickens with beans, swiss chard, collards, mustard greens, kale and the chickens and ducks can reach in through the fence and pick what they want. We also grow Jerusalem Artichokes and Amaranth and Comfrey to help supplement there feed in the winter months.
Sounds like a nice garden. I will be expanding my garden in the future. I enjoy growing all these things. And the big chickens seem to like most of what I grow too and nothing goes to waste.
@@oviduran We turned our entire backyard into edibles with fenced in gardens but still path's and shaded areas the chickens and ducks can free range in the afternoon when we are outside with them. They love all kitchen scraps, weeds, playing in the compost, digging for worms and even created an area under a shade tree that they love to dust bath in.
Hi Ovi, if your ever in the Providence RI area... stop in at a Peruvian/Bolivian restaurant called Los Andes ... I always have a Cusquena while there... has a really nice outdoor dining area... cheers! Frank
Don Ovi, here in South Jersey you can get Medalla just about everywhere. I last purchased some at the ShopRite in Cherry Hill. And of course, everywhere in Camden.
I think potatoes grow bigger in the ground compared to the bags . Just a thought. Did you grow onions.? At least you got some garlic for your sofrito. Did you grow watermelons? The tomatoes were good harvest.
It’s a Mexican Folk song. It’s available through a subscription from Epidemic Sound. Link in description. I have a yearly contract and can use any of their music which include thousands of songs.
Excellent video 👍
Hello 👋 Ovi nice video nice work I’m so happy you got the parts for the truck 🛻 🥳 can’t wait for the video 🤗
Thank you 🤗. I am sure I will need more parts. Lol
Thanks for the vlog! The German Cervesa looks really good! 🍻
Always a favorite. This one has great flavor. A small reward after working in the garden, homestead, or truck.

Thanks. Next time I visit Camden to visit family I will look for it. There may a place in River Road or Federal Street.
Did you know that Corona extra was first brewed by a German immigrant in Mexico? 😄. It’s a great Mexican beer
It is a great beer. These days I prefer the dark beers and I also have Negra Modelo.
Wegmans sells Medalla Light Premium Beer from Cervecera dePuerto Rico

Yes, potatoes grow best in trenches 8 inches deep.
What is the name of that tune you play while harvesting??

I have 2 chicken and they eat tomatoes lettuce and banana
I give lettuce to mine sometimes but they like cabbage more and it lasts hours longer. I put it inside the metal ball too.
Nono don’t wash them until you’re ready to use and only wash when you’re about to cook.
Thanks. My wife told me the same thing.
Next we'll see you brew you're own beer... Lol
That’s a nice idea but I don’t drink much. Maybe one or two a week. But I’m still looking for Medalla.
