If it's through FiveM or Tebex, this will not work with those files. They have a proprietary encryption system that I think has yet to be broken. Hope this helps.

Make sure you are importing the Highest quality model to blender, you may be seeing the LOD versions which may have missing parts depending on how they are made.

Hi there, Is your file possibly encrypted somehow? If it comes from a FiveM resource it is likely encrypted and I don't know of any way to decrypt those at the moment. Could you tell me if you are able to view the file in OpenIV or Codewalker model viewer?

so i made a truck using some launcher leaks parts and stuff to put into my server to try and learn z modeler, i have no idea how to export it and get a ytd file for it so its fivem ready. is do you know what to do or know where i can find a tutorial? ive been looking for hours and cant find anything
To get a YTD you can create a blank one in openIV and import the textures from the Z3D project into it. To export textures from Z3D you must go to the texture browser and go from there.
For some reason I can't just drag and drop files into the RPF, I assume I have to import through the explorer? If so, in what format? Raw, xml or some other? Cheers! ... ok another one, just for clarification, this works the same for stuck/broken peds. not just for vehicles? You miss-understood me, what I meant is that I'm not able to drag the files straight into RPF Explorer, regardless of what file I try to drag, while you could just drag the files in no problem. My setup is identical to yours, aside from using version 32. I figured I have to use the import feature of RPF explorer then, which gives me three formats to chose from, so I wrote my question on which to use. I have a good night sleep so I just sat to this again, my workaround for now will be using Open IV just to drag the files into position, which works, and going back to RPF afterwards. I will check now if it works.
I have an issue i am able to get the YFT unlocked, and the model opens up fine in zmoddler but before i do anything to the model, the models police lights mess up and either dont align anymore or are all over the place. Ive tested this without any changes, just unlocking does it. Any reason this would happen? Or how to prevent this?

Yes, this is possible. In order to edit the tint you need to use the vertex paint brush in zmodeler, paint the window vertices white on the RGB setting, i believe the closer you get to black, the less powerful the tint is.

Make sure you are trying to drag it from a windows file folder, I dont believe CW will accept files directly from a winrar archive or something like that.

Good day. I'm just trying to unpack a locked .ydd file in order to take out a piece of the contents (one particular piece of a ped I don't want it to use), but using this method won't work. It seems the ydd file gets corrupted or something, because when I do this method and then try to export as Open formats in OpenIV, I don't get the usual folder with all the files composing the ped parts, but just a .odd file, the xml and a folder with the name of the ped with 3 files: high, med and low mesh files. I don't want to edit meshes or anything, just take out a piece of a ydd file and pack it again. Can it be done?
YDD files can be unlocked with this method. You mention OpenIV, I'm not sure about that, this method uses Codewalker. You need to ensure that you have all proper textures in the exported folder when re importing otherwise it will give you an "object reference not valid" or something like that. It is possible this file gets corrupted by this process, some newer files that are released tend to be encrypted some how to make it not work with this or OpenIV.

XTheGreatJamesX it’s a good PC, I’ve got an extraordinary graphic card, I play red dead redemption 2 with higher graphics and 16GB of ram. So no hardware issues. I waited for 20 minutes and still said not working on the top tab. I even opened the task manager and said the same.

Hi there, I am not sure what you are referring to. You should not get any HTML files as a result of this method, only XML. I also do not go over using Blender in this video either so I am not sure what your issue could be.
What I am saying is when I export the xml it is not opening as a xml file I did try this I zmoddler to. The file is Called a html and when I look at the file it has Microsoft edge as the opening source
@@asap_barto I had this issue once before, the car would be messed up (lots of stray vertices strewn about) i have a feeling it has to do with the older zmodeler versions not seeing grouped parts properly therefore it attaches them and makes the spaghetti happen, I'd imagine it only happens with higher poly cars?

in some cases, models in Zmodeler are nice, but in Blender they have holes, e.g. missing bumper. what's the fault?

In my experience, the UV map is preserved.

Does the model work in game properly, Can you view it in the model viewer or openIV?

When I try to import it, the Import button turns gray. I followed all the steps in the video but it's still basically locked.
Have you tried the method on a different file to see if it works? If not I suggest you try that to see if that model is somehow corrupted.

Make sure that you have the vehshare loaded in your Zmodeler and also make sure that your YTD is in the same folder as the YFT.

You should be able to grab that from the texture browser in zmodeler, it is probably an embedded texture, meaning it will not show up in the ytd.

bro, after unlocking locked files when I try to import _hi.ytf file, it imports just as .ytf file, any solution?
Hmm I am not sure what causes this. Make sure that you are unlocking both _hi and normal and importing them together in zmodeler.

Good day. I'm just trying to unpack a locked .ydd file in order to take out a piece of the contents (one particular piece of a ped I don't want it to use), but using this method won't work. It seems the ydd file gets corrupted or something, because when I do this method and then try to export as Open formats in OpenIV, I don't get the usual folder with all the files composing the ped parts, but just a .odd file, the xml and a folder with the name of the ped with 3 files: high, med and low mesh files.
I don't want to edit meshes or anything, just take out a piece of a ydd file and pack it again. Can it be done?
YDD files can be unlocked with this method. You mention OpenIV, I'm not sure about that, this method uses Codewalker.
You need to ensure that you have all proper textures in the exported folder when re importing otherwise it will give you an "object reference not valid" or something like that.
It is possible this file gets corrupted by this process, some newer files that are released tend to be encrypted some how to make it not work with this or OpenIV.
@@xthegreatjamesx So, if I have 4 files (ydd, yft, ymt and ytd), shall I place all 4 in the same rtf file inside Codewalker, and then export/import the xml file of the ydd file?
@@PerseusClassic I am not sure if the other ymt and yft are necessary, but you should try it like that and see if it works.

Mine is not working... Im in step 7 and when I click on the .xml file it seem like it's loading but then the screen whites up and says it stopped working...
What kind of hardware are you running on your computer, and how long have you waited for it to import?
XTheGreatJamesX it’s a good PC, I’ve got an extraordinary graphic card, I play red dead redemption 2 with higher graphics and 16GB of ram. So no hardware issues. I waited for 20 minutes and still said not working on the top tab. I even opened the task manager and said the same.
@@adrian.pianist Hmm... I'm not sure cause 20 minutes seems extreme. My next questions are how big is the file (amount of polygons) and what version of CodeWalker you have.

Hi there, I am not sure what you are referring to. You should not get any HTML files as a result of this method, only XML. I also do not go over using Blender in this video either so I am not sure what your issue could be.
What I am saying is when I export the xml it is not opening as a xml file I did try this I zmoddler to. The file is Called a html and when I look at the file it has Microsoft edge as the opening source

@@asap_barto I had this issue once before, the car would be messed up (lots of stray vertices strewn about) i have a feeling it has to do with the older zmodeler versions not seeing grouped parts properly therefore it attaches them and makes the spaghetti happen, I'd imagine it only happens with higher poly cars?
