Wow, Japan generally is my number one place to visit and I had no idea this was a thing! Its so cool I will definitely write this down on my bucket list of things to do in Japan.
Flying The Nest I agree!!! He’s a seasoned traveller already, I think he’s been on something like 20 planes in his 2.5 years, including 2 long hauls back home to Adelaide! I think he’d absolutely love Japan, I’m really hoping we can head back there some day soon. Maybe we’ll do Adelaide, via Japan, on one of our next trips!
Fun fact: many of these Mario Kart go cart places are run by the son of a Yakuza, which is why they are still in operation even after so many locals complain about them being dangerous and causing traffic accidents. Not here to burst your bubble or troll, just sharing a fact that I learned from a Japanese friend. It made me see the carts in a different light. Anyway, glad you enjoyed! ^_^

In march this year (2018) I was in Japan too. 3 weeks through the south western Janan. I visited Osaka, Nagoya, Kyoto, Nara, Arashiyama, Iga Ueno, Nikko and Tokyo. It was so amazing. And I made the Go Kart Tour too. With Maricar Akihabara in Tokyo. It´s so cool to drive through this big city. So cool^^. And the food in Japan is so tasty.^^
Where did you get your mario bros costume for the ride trip? I asked to MariCar about Nintendo costumes but they said they aren't offering nintendo costumes anymore.
We went just before they got sued by Nintendo so you could still use Nintendo outfits. I think (and don't quote me) they were allowed to keep offering Marikart as long as you can't dress up in Mario outfits
@@flyingthenestI asked them and they said i can bring my own costume if I want, but I don't know where rent or buy Nintendo costume. Thank you anyway, nice video ✌

Most of them were build during the bubble years for investments but nobody rent them because they are too small for living. That is why owners started utilizing them for air bnb as tourists only used them for sleeping like capsule hotels. BTW, good that you did cross the Rainbow Bridge on the cart. That part could well be banned in the future for security reasons.

Yep! Needs to be your passport and your international drivers license, not your standard drivers license you have to drive around at home.
