The GK2 is awesome imo. Just DON'T take Piercing at lvl6. Lvl12 is good, or even not at all (it has innate Pierce 4-deep). It tanks the Firerate too much to take at lvl6. Concentrate on getting the Reload to
I tihnk a lot of players overplay the -25 or 30% its not like a deathknell to all weapons as you can just get it back its a dumb reason to not upgrade a weapon at all. Sure prioritise that weapon less. but you don't bypass legendary damage upgrade that would negate the debuff or pass on a purple upgrade to take a grey that's not gonna do much of anything. if anything upgrading damage on weapons that have negative debuffs gains you more overall because math. It depends on the chioces.
Welp, this video is making me both sigh and facepalm, while ALSO making me chuckle. TLDR: I spent SO MUCH TIME trying to get that one achievement of getting the "Classic Scout" to level 60 in the Salt Caverns at Hazard 5. Hell, I could barely CLEAR that mission as ANY scout, nevermind the Classic version, and I was ready to start reporting a bug fix that the Classic Scout needed a major buff. But then, by sheer luck, I managed to do it a few weeks ago. Then I saw you post this video, and I started watching it and went, "Wait...waaaaaiiit a second..." And I went back to Hazard 5 to do that same "Challenge" of getting the Classic Scout to level 60, AND kill the Dreadnought in the same run, by focusing ONLY on the Assault Rifle, or at least as much as I possibly could. Welp. I don't know if I could DEFINITIVELY say "That's what I was doing wrong this whole time" but it doesn't change the fact that it took me between 7-9 runs to do exactly that, as opposed to my previous "record" where it easily took me more than 30 attempts to beat that level as the classic scout without hyper-focusing on the assault rifle, and managed to reach level 61 by the time I beat the Dreadnought. Main reason I can't say with 100% certainty is because the first supply pod dropped Gold-Tipped Bullets, the second supply pod dropped the Nitragenic Powder, the third gave me the Ammo Rig, the fourth gave me the Diver's Manual, and the last supply pod gave me the Squint-EE5 Goggles. I spent the MINIMAL amount of Gold through that run, started saving Nitra when I got the Powder, and by the time I got to the Dreadnought, I had 500 Gold (+100% damage, not counting every other damage upgrade I'd grabbed), a crit rate of 150%, crit damage of 350% and the Assault Rifle had the Electric, Piercing, and My Favorite overclocks. It was doing solid damage to the Dreadnought, and outright deleting EVERYTHING else.
smart rifle clear is terrible. you can win with it, but you need use a weapon that has extremely high clear. Like Breachway cutter+Smart rifle is can work. you max breach way to 18 and then you put everything else into smart rifle for the boss.

That video is hilarious, Loki did absolutely nothing! 😂 I tried it myself a few times recently as a support weapon with a lot of projectile and kinetic upgrades, and it feels like it could almost be good if it was locking on while reloading, because 4s reload + 3s locking on is horrible. And all the overclocks are completely worthless. But if they ever decide to do a major update on it, I can see it becoming a pretty good weapon.

Have you tried doing only Loki smart rifle? It should be fun, it's absolutely horrible weapon 😂. Perhaps on H4 if H5 would be too tough.
