Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha says the atmosphere in J&K is conducive for holding assembly polls

In an interview to THE WEEK on on August 11, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha says anti-social activities such as civilian killings, strikes, stone-pelting, and the killing of forces have drastically reduced; and schools, colleges, and businesses are operating normally in J&K like in any other part of the country. He believes that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is conducive for holding the assembly elections. The people of Jammu have never supported terrorism, and they fully support the government and the forces, he adds.
