No, you did right. The date of birth is what is considered not the date of issue.

At what stage to u need to send your documents to the kcc is it during ds 260 or after 2nl
No sending documents to KCC at the moment. That requirement was removed. You go with them to your interview

I used surname in kcse certificate that I no longer use. Hence, my id, and other document I use my mother's surname. Nifanye aje verified?

2NL guarantees an interview. An interview does not guarantee a visa
Only as long as the visas are still available. Incase they are exhausted, 2nl may not guarantee an interview. It will be cancelled.
