Important to renegotiate the deal. Most of the loans have ended up in the pockets of corrupt NPP persons and some IMF officials in over inflated contracts. Mali has done so, and now they are free. Why can't Ghana do same
At least some Africans are starting to understand how the IMF works as the lender of last resort and blaming their own leaders instead of blaming "the evil west". Best of luck to Ghana. Infrastructure projects with bad returns on investment should be protested.

Was he not specific about how he was going to fund the free Tertiary for just year 1? If you have issues with freebies, then perhaps you should call for cancellation of FSHS because it is costlier. The current government is still willing to give $335m in tax waivers in the middle of an IMF deal, is willing to pay $34 to a company indirectly related to the president's daughter. Maybe you should prioritize those since they are immediate.
Typical of Npp supporters, very shallow in thinking The man has told you ways through which he will finance the free tertiary education yet your st*pi*ity won't let you reason. The budget for Jubilee houde alone can finance free education from KG to Tertiary but Nana Addo and his NPP stalwarts prefer wasting and stealing our monies to spending it on proper things
This man has no real plan for Ghana. He’s promising a “24-hour economy,” but realistically, that would take a decade or more to achieve. Once in power, he’ll just keep blaming his opponents for the country’s issues, just like he has throughout his campaign. He was in power for six years, and we all saw how he managed things. He and his party seem only driven by a hunger for power. Honestly, I hope he wins and people finally realise what’s been happening as the suffering continues. I was fortunate enough to leave the country, and I hope you find your opportunity as well.
Mahama is not the type that blames his predecessors. When he was in office he concerned himself with tackling pertinent issues. The fact that you have little understanding of his decisions does not make him a bad leader. Mahama was in Office for 6 months of Atta Mills' unexpired term + 3 years 4 months of his own term since Akuffo Addo challenged him in court for 8 months. The government of the last 8 years is struggling to match up to Mahama's 3 years 10 months as president. You clearly have no idea about Mahama. You deem it fortunate to have left the country; hopefully, that was not after you voted for Akufo Addo.
I know right. he's out of his mind with that 24 hours crap he's been spewing. I despise NPP but this man is certainly not the answer we need as Ghanaians. He has been done and dusted ages ago. @@newstaffchannel12 Let’s start with the basics. Mahama is running against the Vice President, yet he’s focused on blaming the current President for all of Ghana’s issues. If he’s so confident in his leadership, why isn’t he talking about specific solutions instead of leaning on criticism? What exactly is he bringing to the table this time around? And this “24-hour economy” idea? It sounds great, but it doesn’t match the reality of Ghana’s economic structure. Which industries does he plan to transform into round-the-clock operations? Does he have a plan to create jobs that actually support this vision? Our current infrastructure, workforce, and energy supply aren’t equipped for such a shift. Mahama needs to explain how he’ll make this happen without it turning into yet another empty promise. If he can’t give us real answers on these points, then all we’re getting is more campaign talk with no real strategy behind it. Ghanaians deserve leaders who bring concrete, realistic solutions, not just flashy ideas that fall apart after election season.
During his time, the deal he had with IMF brought the cancellation of teacher and nursing trainee allowances, freeze on employment, Dumsor and many more. My question is, What did Mahama do about it for Ghanaians to believe in him? His credibility is questionable. NPP is also with IMF but still all their policies are going on including Free SHS. So these two parties who can lead Ghana to the promised land ? Ghanaians be wise ! Thanks
Mahama took Ghana to the IMF when there was no global economic downturn. He couldn’t manage the Ghana economy then, how does he intend to do it now? He can’t even explain his 24-hour economy.

Ghanaians stay away from imf deals😮
when a country spends recklessly and cannot service it's debts it leaves itself with no other choice unfortunately. So the cycle goes on and on
African leaders sold out subsidizing politicians instead of subsidizing the economy

Because now it's worse.
