Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS), sometimes also known as Smart Hybrid Vehicle System (SHVS), is a mild hybrid system form Suzuki that incorporates an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and a high capacity battery that offer engine power assistance and is capable of achieving power regeneration.

The basic principle behind ISG is that the combustion engine should work as little and as effectively as possible in order to cut fuel consumption and reduce exhaust emissions.
