For me, whenever you have an angle or a steep curve on the center line, the part of that center line that interspaces the curve or angle will be sprung before the pattern is duplicated.

I used my last to mold the vamp on the first pair of shoes I'm working on. It seemes to work...ok-ish. But I don't have anything to compare it to. I plan to make a wooden board I can use to crimp my next pair.
@@KpomoBespoke the front side of the pattern,.. after cutting the pattern out of the cardboard, cutting it out of the Leather is where I have issues, I mean how do I get that front upper, before I use my cramping tool.

Can i use.my last for crimping the vamp just like when making stifferners with leather
Haven't done that before but I think you will have difficulty molding it to shape on a last.

I have been battling with this Chelsea boots for days now, I draw the pattern but can't map it out on the leather
