As a 47 year old white hip hop head, it hurts me that you don’t know who Huey P Newton is. Maybe it’s because I’m from the bay and we understand the Panthers lore but do your history youngster. Pac is a second generation Panther. His mom got charged with being a Panther and he was almost born in jail until the charges were dropped. Real G!
At least he was interested in learning. Thankfully someone was willing to educate him and now he knows. He might likely be interested in learning more.
I grew up with 2pac and most of my friends didn’t understand as I am a white guy. His music spoke to everyone and taught many lessons on how to treat people. Never judge by race but by content of character. If you are a good person it doesn’t matter what race you are. Great reaction should check out more like “keep ya head up” “dear mama” “ghetto gospel” “ Brenda’s got a baby “ just to name a few.
One of the best songs ever. The original song Bruce Hornsbys "the way it is" has a similiar message and is really powerful in its own right but Tupac absolutely killed it with this one.
I love watching new fans fall in love with the music and messages that Tupac left us!!!!! My kids all grew up on old school music......by the way....listen to OLD SCHOOL by Tupac
The main musical chords from this jam were lifted from the great song The Way It Is, by Bruce Hornsby. Hornsby gave Tupac permission to use this in his song. Hornsby always looked at music as a cause for change. Tupac tried to get many to think about each other, instead of thinking of getting over on each other. Unfortunately this song was not released until after Tupac passed.
The 1st bar always gives me goosebumps. Him & Biggie never lived to see their fame or how much their music lives with us 70s/80s/90s kids. Their words had depth.
The ending always gets me because that’s exactly how it played out in Vegas. Pac jumped a gang member and they retaliated a few hours later and did a drive by
Listen to these Tupac songs: DEAR MAMA (pulls at every heart string), UNTIL THE END OF TIME, ALL EYEZ ON ME, HAIL MARY. He recorded Changes in 1992. It wasn't released till after his death in 1998. His music changed my generation.
You are listening to the 🐐 of this art we call rapping. Never sugar coated, but still gave us REAL barz, and reached all 4 corners of the Earth. Great reaction brother. ✊🏾
Mannnn you could literally listen to every Pac album from beginning to end, even his songs on Above the Rim soundtrack, Thug Life album, one of my favorite features is on Young Lay- Gotta survive. The poetry, the message, and most of all his passion. To this day I have never heard another rapper that literally makes you feel his words.
