Boseman's brother said in more than one interview that on his death bed, Boseman wanted Black Panther to be like James Bond with multiple actors playing the character
Since I knew they wouldn't recast t'challa I was hoping they would make killmonger king of the dead. Kinda like a sudo black panther. Him making up for what he has done and bast resurrecting killmonger during a desperate time. Idk would of been cool. Michael b Jordan would of killed it.

Denzel as T'Chaka & John David Washington aka Denzel’s real son as T’challa, and have them come from different multiverses. T’Chaka’s universe has faught Doom and lost everything including his T’Challa & Wakanda. Then there’s the RDJ Doom universe with our new T’Challa who has to prepare for Doom with his dad’s help.
@317cmrogers of course everyone but shuri can be black panther right. You can't tell me that Sherry storytelling was not great. From the nerd scientist to a vengeful Black panther

@317cmrogers They will. Something unfortunately happened and most of the people screamed for a new actor. That was almost an immediate reaction. I couldn't imagine the cast having a new face trying to fight back tears at work. It's a touchy subject but marvel did the right thing.

I don't know why anybody thought that Marvel wouldn't recast T'challa. Just bcuz they didn't recast immediately didn't mean the recast would've happen. Boseman was beloved... nothin wrong with paying tribute to him. As far as the kid as the new T'Challa... thats stupid
Tchalla will be in Secret Wars most likely as the King of the Dead. Shuri was still Black Panther so it could work. Give it a couple films and the audience will literally crown him as the new king by BP 3
Either we make it like black panther escapes death with recast or it’s not tchalla from our universe and the son is just a kid without a father until the recast version appears
Marvel probably should have delayed Black Panther 2. Part of the decision to not recast was the crew not wanting that, but I’d imagine they’d feel differently after some time had passed. Another in a long line of mistakes they made post endgame
RDJ's return is irrelevant to opening the door to the multiverse. Johnathan Majors, who now has NO CHARGES against him, already did that. Why is KANG not returning?
They literally had the chance to recast T’Challa during Wakanda Forever. When Shuri recreated the Herb she could’ve easily brought back T’Challa from the dead, but just with a different actor. Your telling me they’re honoring the legacy of Chadwick and not recasting him, but they recasted Thaddeus Ross when William Hurt passed? Feels kinda too late now, but if they’re only doing it cuz of a soft reboot and they need a new face to take the role than that makes sense for a new universe to continue. Plus T’Challa is too much of an important character to be left out, and he plays an important part in Jonathan Hickmans secret wars story.
Marvel got a bit of hate for rectoning T'challa out of X-Men'97 and replacing him with his father T'Chaka. If I remember correctly, there was some disappointment in particular from Chad's family. Chad's family and others thought it was weird for Marvel to seem too afraid for anyone to play the character even a 90's predecessor version to the point that they would change him to be the father. It's not cool to avoid using him at all because there are many talented Black actors who I'm sure could have a great take on T'Challa while still honoring the comics and the impact left from Chad playing the character. I hope Marvel did learn from BP2 and 97. Mostly because T'Challa is the BP in Rivals if I'm right, and Idk why they would tell EA to suddenly change T'Challa to T'Chaka for their game. However, I'm not convinced yet that Marvel feels comfortable using T'Challa outside of games and that worries me. Of course I don't want him lazily written back into the MCU. I hope T'Challa can return in some way but I think it needs to be clever and not retcon BP2 entirely, I can only see this working in a battleword scenario. Can we just X-Men'97 this and have Denzel be someone from a distant future that knows the importance of a Black Panther and takes the prince (ala Bishop & baby Summers) into the future or multiverse to train him for said threat?
Ryan, i agree that Disney is trying to shoehorn their biggest brands into their overall female dominant branding. Great way to explain it. I think ultimately they can make the 2nd movie better, as they didn't make Shuri the Queen,Mbaku is King.... So even they left the door open for Tchalla jr. Or a multiverse option. I thought they should've just waited on black panther to bring him back in the reboot, but if they can find a way to bring him back after not officially making her Queen as she's still grieving.... It can make that story actually better with an aged up son and actually recast tchalla in a way that makes sense. I don't think a multiverse Wakanda made sense at the time. Now with them spread across the world, it makes more sense

It's the stupid decisions that marvel made ( like getting rid of Tony and Cap and not recasting T'Challa) that will lead to their downfall... Gunn must be loving the news... Now he'll cast Gina Corano as Wonder Woman just to rub it in Disney's face...
Getting rid of Tony and cap was the right move. Those endings needed to happen I'm not saying what they brought out after was good or well-received for the most part but the initial thought of ending those stories what's good
They didn’t “get rid” of them. They said they wanted to move on to other things. Some of y’all are clueless. Josh included sometimes. The OG actors can’t play these characters forever. Real life logic has to be applied. You have to let them go one day.
@@MrRobinson758 yeah I agreed with you! Some actors cannot played these characters like forever or decades. Foolish people are always thinking about this.
It all depends on who they cast for me . Aldis Hodge would be awesome with John David Washington. If it’s one of the crappy British actors then it’s a no for me
Seems strange to hear Jeff say it’s fair to assume Ryan Coogler is more likely to help cast the new black panther, considering he first showed in cap civil war, directed by the Russo bros. Did they not cast Chadwick Boseman ? LMK if I’m wrong but I’d assume the directors of the film he first appeared in helped in the casting the first time around.
Recast Tchalla with Denzel’s son & FIRE RYAN COOGLER AS THE DIRECTOR! Let the Russo Bros supervise BP3 & Beyond. They the only directors to get Tchalla right.
Idk about fire him 😂. Little extreme considering circumstances that his lead actor died after one of the most successful marvel movies period in the first black panther movie. Now Denzel's son fit, so would the guy who plays Alex cross and maybe lakeith... He just has to present himself and play a hero king ... That's a different type of persona so they have to convey that . Black panther doesn't just make choices, he always has wakanda in front of it all holding one of the strongest elements in all of marvel... Vibranium
I am at the thought that it was very unfair of Chadwick Boseman to not disclose his illness. I mean it’s heartbreaking and he did a great job, but I don’t think anybody owes him any sort of loyalty whatsoever.

Those endings needed to happen I'm not saying what they brought out after was good or well-received for the most part but the initial thought of ending those stories what's good
@spencerpommier806 yep get rid of the 2 main characters of ur whole cinematic universe with nobody ready to take their place.... Great decision...
@@jasondearham8243they can’t go one forever dude and plus the actors wanted to move on most likely
Lately, all Marvel movies are the "girls club."
It's not like female superhero don't exist in marvel comics
It all depends on who they cast for me . Aldis Hodge would be awesome with John David Washington. If it’s one of the crappy British actors then it’s a no for me
First black panther success but 2nd one sucked and a failure sadly
I've never seen Wakanda Forever and will never too! I'm not into self pity.
other credible places say otherwise!
like who???
BP3 will flop if they implement the child. #RecastTChalla son of T’Chaka.
Shh. Stop spreading negatively
@ You shh 🤫.
It would be the biggest flop in history.
Seems strange to hear Jeff say it’s fair to assume Ryan Coogler is more likely to help cast the new black panther, considering he first showed in cap civil war, directed by the Russo bros. Did they not cast Chadwick Boseman ? LMK if I’m wrong but I’d assume the directors of the film he first appeared in helped in the casting the first time around.
good points.
No Shade... but why are they consulting Chadwicks family?
Respect
You out here sounding like MAGA
😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Please give us a white t'challa as the ultimate antiwoke slap in the multiverse 🙏🏼
Vibranium
What!
I am at the thought that it was very unfair of Chadwick Boseman to not disclose his illness. I mean it’s heartbreaking and he did a great job, but I don’t think anybody owes him any sort of loyalty whatsoever.
Why not Michael B Jordan? It would be a fine multiversal twist.
