In a list of 1000 emails I converted 8 clients the product was a fitness plan which cost 100€. My open rate was around 30% that means only 300 emails were opened and I sold only 8 of them. How did I performed on a scale of 1 to 10. Thanks for the video it was great
She's right. You actually did well. Conversion rates are said to be around 1% - 2% of prospects. You did a lil bit less than 1% (which is 10). For a first campaign, that's great. Practice everything Alex teaches and get better. You already have a great start... Don't stop here though. Get better.
I work with Klaviyo directly for my client and your numbers are close to mine. My open rate averages 15-20% of 12k but click rate is what I struggle with. It is usually 50-300. I'm watching this video and taking notes (Seriously! I have a pen in hand). Their numbers before hiring me was a 2% open rate. So they are happy with my improvements. But I'm not happy yet.
I just now subscribed to your newsletter. Your invite went to my spam folder for my personal email (and I have to access that email through a browser to even find the spam folder.) Rescued that email, clicked subscribe, got a confirmation in my inbox. Yea. Subscribed also with a secondary email acct (a gmail). The invitation went straight to inbox -- not to spam -- unlike the first try using my primary email on outlook. I clicked subscribe and never got a confirmation for the gmail invite even though the initial invitation did find its way directly to my inbox. But no confirmation arrived afterwards, not in promotions, not in spam, not anywhere. So, even at this date the filters are still busy. Tis kind of frustrating.
I know the video is old but if I'm a beginner writer what should I offer to customers when I find one? Because I have to start somewhere IDK on what I should focus on offering as a service that might help me get clients and I can help them even if I'm a beginer.
There are lots of options! Try out a few services and see what you enjoy. Focus on building a network and skillset around your preferences and what you are skilled in. :)
Thank you so much for these tips. I have 2 guitar courses but most of my sales are from my call-to-action in my UA-cam videos. That’s great but I haven’t been able to scale up as my email funnel is not producing the sales I need (I have an opt-in ad running and also have that CTA in my UA-cam videos - I get a substantial amount of opt-ins, but again, my email funnel has failed me - very frustrating!)

Right!! You can to consider the amount of mail that's going to into spam or bouncing from retired email addresses, so take those numbers with a grain of salt.

George Orwell 1984 was a fun reference to "Big Brother is Watching You".. aka gmail sending your emails to promotions tab if you aren't very careful. The tips I outline in the video aren't just "shit that comes to my mind", they are useful and strategic tactics that can be taken to make sure your emails are being seen. Thanks for your comment.

This is such a big debate! Unfortunately there is no clear-cut answer. You'll need to do some experimenting to find out what flags spam.
