    At the business where I first learn't my trade over 30 years ago this was called a basic blend. We used to do 5 colour blends over her at Australian Fabric Printers back then. My first and best employers. :)
    I love these videos as even "experts" we can all learn new ideas.
    Keep up the great work guys. You are even teaching us oldies new ideas with new technologies etc. :)

    @bethany2nirvana I prefer screen printing and that is what I do commercially. I do not use heat transfers for commercial work. Screen printed designs look better, last longer and are cheaper on large print runs. But there is a lot of work involved in screen printing. Check out my other videos for more on that. And my website too! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

    @noodaterika You’re welcome. I think you are asking about printing a solid color “fill” with an outline. That would be done with 2 different screens set up in the press at the same time. For a multi color design we print the colors separately. They line up with each other. Check out my other videos for multi color print demos. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    @Zoombah3 You’re welcome. But you know that is not really the way we print multi color jobs. This is a blend or a spilt fountain which makes a 1 color screen print with 2 colors. For a multi color design we print the colors separately. Check out my other videos for multi color print demos. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    You the man!
    So...I'm a total rookie to screen printing. I'm confused what screen drawing fluid is and screen filler is by Speedball. I'm sorry if this is a silly question, but if possible can you explain to me what they are

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  9 років тому

      +IIIGRAND / Delinquent / Chan$e One Thanks!! Drawing fluid is a block out material you draw directly on the screen with. Screen filler is basically the same stuff. It's a way of physically creating the stencil by hand. Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/

    @boombust9000 Water based inks tend to be thinner than plastisol inks so there may be blending on an accelerated level. You may have to reset the blend more often than with plastisol inks. And yes, you should let your imagination fly with this one. There are no set rules. Just experiment and have fun! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    I think you mean a soft hand print. You would really want to work with water based inks or discharge inks. Your mesh count will be determined by the detail in your artwork and the thickness of the ink and the finished print result desired. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

    Hi Catspit - can I get some advice, I want to print two inks, but I want to there to be a few bits of overlay with the colours and to get a multiply effect, but how do i get inks with this opacity...do I mix it differently? Thanks.

      Besides CMYK inks you would probably be looking for some transparent type inks that will mix when printed on a lighter colored garment or a white under base. Many fluorescent colors are very transparent as long as they are not HO inks. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/

    @Sariapi Thank you very much. I'm happy to hear my videos are helping you out. I'm not sure of anywhere you can order 30 pieces and get them for under two dollars especially if they are black or colored T-shirts. Plus you have to consider shipping. But sourcing T-shirts is not the sort of thing I can really help you out with. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

    @rJasonful Not exactly sure what you mean by honeycomb shirts. Athletic mesh? But if you are having resolution problems, generally moving to a higher mesh count should help. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠
