That last one hit me hard. Reopened a lot of old wounds from my childhood. I really, really feel for that family, man. I grew up on the West side of Chicago, and you were never really safe walking around the block, at times, not even familiar ones. Especially when gangs were at war. It got so bad, that parents issued a curfew for us shorties: when those street lights came on, we had to stop whatever we were doing and take our little butts back home. Even gang members who knew our families would take away our basketball and yell at us to go inside. We lost a lot of people during those times, most of whom had nothing to do with that life. If a gang or one of their sub-sets have never seen you before, you were a threat. If you were White and suspected to be a narc, you were a threat. And lastly (speaking from personal experience), if you belonged to a certain ethnic group (Black, Latino, Asian, etc), gangsters automatically assumed you were an op (one who belongs to an opposing or enemy gang), thus making you a threat in their eyes. This is a reality for just about every *hood* in America.
Pazuzu has been popping up everywhere I turn these last few days. But no one can make it as interesting a story as Let’s Read. I can’t help to wonder if the guy in the story was there while Josh was in the basement.
You NEED to watch Bailey Sarian, talking about him. She does it a whole lot better & that's no offence to Let's Read, she actually explains the whole story!!
@@koriilee5711 Well Joel is narrating a story not explaining the whole history of how this person came to be. Joel is awesome in his own right. I say that as a Bailey fan!!
Man, I don't know if you've been told this before but your pronunciation is on point. Your pronunciations on the second story were quite close to perfect. Keep up the good work.
@@Zelda_Kitty I don't know. However, his pronunciation of cities and places in Afghanistan and Pakistan were pretty damn close, especially for someone who very likely doesn't speak Urdu or Farsi. Also, the way he said Alhumdulillah was also pretty damn good. He either is close to these cultures and languages or he practices the pronunciation of these words before recording these stories. If it's the latter, I really have to admire the effort.
I’m betting he looks it up, because you’re right. Heh, this week I was listening to some of his really old videos and I kind of jumped when I heard him talk about “San Ja- sinto Mountain.” ( it’s San Ha Seen Toe.) He apparently took the several notes he was handed for that one. 😁
You'd be surprised how many Middle Eastern people are white-passing. Right here on UA-cam, we even have a perfect example of Middle Easterns who look white, JonTron.
As soon as I looked up Pazuzu from story #1 my heart pounded so hard in my chest out of fear from looking at his picture. 100% spot on, his eyes are the most terrifying thing about him! I'm not grieving over him only his actions. I can't even bring myself to read anymore about him. He scares me like Manson scares people. Dead or not.
Omg! I only just re-watch the Pazuzu Algerad documentary again. It was really well made.. and pretty informative. I'm about to kick-back and have a Let's Read sesh! Xx

Cypress Park, or anywhere near Dodger stadium, is a place you never want to get lost. When I was 19, my boyfriend and I were heading home on the fwy and saw a Latino man hanging out of the back seat, shooting at the car in front of us. Scary as hell
I grew up around the boarder of Clemmons and Winston, and when the Pazuzu thing happened I had no idea. Turns out I passed the same fucking house everyday on my way to school.

That's just the South, bud. Lived here my whole life. Massive amount of drugs circulating while everyone pretends to be God-fearing Bible thumpers. Tremendously awful place to live
I went to high school with the girl from the first story. Her name was amber. I never thought I would hear the story on UA-cam lol that's crazy that it hits so close to home. I still live in south Carolina not too far from her/his home where they found a body or something like that. The bad part is that she was a regular girl in school. She had normal friends and did normal high school girl stuff
As soon as I heard the name Pazuzu, I knew the guy in the first story was in for a bad time. Pazuzu also killed himself with his filed down teeth by chewing into an artery and severing it. The world is a better place without that monster in it.
Great idea for a topic. Making a wrong turn, or simply getting lost, is often when you end up getting into scary situations. Would like more of these types of stories.
On the fourth story I can back this up. I lived a long time in Sarasota. Most of it is quite safe and even affluent. However, there is an area that is very dangerous and its like one street away from safe areas. It is quite easy to stumble into a very dangerous place with no knowledge of it.
Pazuzu is 100% real, but this story seems like it was created by someone after watching the story of Pazuzu. He highlights some of the things seen in the walkthrough of that house like the writing on the bathroom door and the tank full of snakes. Plus how Pazuzu would joke about the smell of the bodies in the basement. That house was not in an isolated area, so it's odd that he would have ended up at that house needing directions, as opposed to a gas station or something. And little things stick out here and there that seem like this is not a genuine story about a guy getting lost and ending up at Pazuzu's house, but rather made up by someone as a creepy story about how they escaped Pazuzu.
@@chopsandtoots It sounds like a more sociable version of my student house. Except of course I'd give people proper directions and I'd offer them tea because I'm nice like that.
@@jessicalynn6285 I think I agree with ya there..which is what's frustrating about hearing "true stories" ..when I hear alot of extra details that's when I'm like:" that's the part of fiction I don't like"
#4... as soon as I heard Sarasota described as having exquisite cuisine, lovely weather, and fine drinks, I chuckled. I knew where it was going. I grew up in south Fl. More palm beach area. There are lots of wealthy areas and it looks like a paradise but you can experience violence in the nicest airbnbs and hotels. It’s not even ‘don’t go down that road’ all the time. You get violence in the middle of a gated community on the beach. There are drug cartels, street gangs, various mafias... it’s crazy.
I live 30 minutes from the first story. Mom and I yard sale every Friday and Saturday and we go thru that community every weekend. It shocked me that this wad was his first storyline
I reside about 30 mins from where the one story took place in Clemmons, North Carolina & I remember hearing about when that house got busted and all of the horrible things that were found. As many horrifying things as they found, I’m sure there’s much much more that unfortunately went on there that will never be discovered. There’s a special place in hell for people like this & my 💚 & prayers go out to the families of the people discovered that had been brutally murdered and buried on the property. From my understanding, this house had neighbors fairly close to it so it wasn’t in a rural or remote area off by itself so I’ll never understand why authorities weren’t called by surrounding neighbors or maybe they were & the authorities should carry some of the blame for their incompetence, idk & it’s been so long that I can’t remember details but either way, it’s always better to be safe than sorry so if you ever see something that just doesn’t settle right with you, please don’t hesitate to report it immediately, afterall you could be the only lifeline a person has between life and death. Stay safe everyone and very vigilant of your surroundings bc they’re are some true evil psychopaths out there roaming around. 💚💙🤗😇💪🏼🇺🇸🌎
My cousins grew up in Clemmons, from what I have been told the police department is a joke, more interested in busting kids on pot charges than finding a murderer. I think they were told about the murder two or three times before they bothered to do anything.
@@kristie3592 That sounds exactly like king police dept. unfortunately too many departments are just alike with their extreme incompetence. It’s truly sad but these small town police can do just about anything and everything that they want to & get by with every single bit of it. It just sucks that everyone else has to pay the price.
@@porschelahey1234 and why ffs, didn't the guy who told this story, who on many occasions, throughout his story, stated he smelled death. To the point, on two occasions, 1. He couldn't hide the fact that he almost threw up over the death smell coming from the basement. 2. Told pazuzuz, when told to sit, was he not sitting due to the dirt, well you should clean the place up, it smells like death. How many, even if only one, could he have saved, by calling the police, once away from that damn, disgusting house. I just don't understand some people. Please stay safe, healthy, kind, strong and happy, peace and much love sent from Ontario, Canada.
@@kathall6422 You obviously misread or misinterpreted my comment. I never stated that the guy whose experience is shared in this video was to blame in any way & in fact I wasn’t even referring to him at all. What I said was I didn’t understand how a place so disgusting, evil & disclosed could go so easily unnoticed by their neighbors and/or local law enforcement. The reason I said this is due to the facts that went with this case which I learned of back when it first occurred & much more was shared than what is heard on this video so maybe you’d like to take the time to learn about this case through research, just a suggestion🤷🏻♀️. Please refrain from putting words into the mouths of other’s because it’s simply downright rude and distasteful. This psychos death count most definitely would’ve been lower had he been caught sooner & since our local news first reported on this story years ago, it was told that the house was unlivable due to the obvious filth inside and surrounding it. It was also reported that he had tortured animals and strung them up in several trees around his yard, also reported that their was a constant party of people who showed no regard for making noise by playing their music loudly throughout the night, carrying on with their chaotic commotion all throughout the nighttime hours and into the following day so I stated the obvious in my comment, I stated that I couldn’t understand how this could’ve went on unnoticed for so long so I’m scratching my head trying to figure out how you took that & then turned and twisted it into a fabrication. I highly recommend actually taking the time to read people’s comments thoroughly before jumping to attack them instead of biting at the bits with overwhelming eagerness just to start unnecessary drama with the first unlucky person that you happen to come across. Life’s too short to be so hateful and quick to assume & lord knows, there’s enough negativity out here in this world without us having to purposely add to it. Either way, wishing you best of luck and positivity.

honestly kinda questioning the first story, as i live in winston salem NC literally 5 minutes up the road from knob hill drive. and to even go down knob hill you would’ve had to go down peace haven road. but if you were up near krispy kreme and cracker barrel you must’ve went over the bridge that’s right above interstate 40 with multiple signs and peace haven road is past that bridge so i’m not sure how you ended up down there at his house after driving over a major highway not to mention all the gas stations that are right there at the fast food restaurants
@@cheriejones3692 i don’t have to look it up, i pass that road everyday to get to the interstate i mentioned in my comment to go to work. that cracker barrel he talks about is right off of i40, you can literally see the highway from the parking lot, so i’m not sure what you’re talking about. what out of towner goes over a interstate, down another mile and turns down 2 roads they’ve never heard of? those being peace haven and knob hill, when they could’ve just went to one of the many gas stations that are in that area and have been for some time. i know because i travel that road daily, knob hill isn’t the first road available to turn onto when you’re on that side of peace haven road. just doesn’t make sense. would probably make more sense to you if you lived here. not saying i don’t believe the story but i pretty much have broken it down for you.
@@cheriejones3692 dude most of his info about the whole thing was totally wrong. It's a bs story concocted from a few pieces of info he got from the news or a documentary. If he was there while the body was in the house.. but saw it on the news a year later, he's talking bullshit. The two guys were killed in 2009 but discovered in 2014. That's 5 years.. not 1 year. I JUST watched “The Devil You Know” about Pazuzu (real name John Lawson) and it was pretty disturbing, then I listen to this and the 1st story is about PAZUZU! I believe every word of that 1st story and I’m glad that guy made it out of that house alive!! Now THAT is a REAL scary story!!
In EVERY state, snakes are popular and beloved pets. This guy must live under a rock. I’ve kept almost every domestic animal you can imagine, and my favorites by far are chickens and snakes. ❤️
That's right, shout it louder for those in the back!! I'm not in Illinois, but here snakes are generally excepted and loved as pets,as well.💓🐍 Lol,"Satanic",what kind of hole this dude crawl out of?!😂
The pazuzu one was so weird! But the one with the two British blokes really hit home for me. I’m from the uk, and Sheffield is my home city. I’ve never seen a gun in my life (apart from in museums) and I’d really love to keep it that way. Thank god over here you can’t just get a gun just like that, like you can in the states.
Forgot that there was a killer named Pazuzu. For those that don't know, Pazuzu is the name of an Arabic demon. Pazuzu is most commonly known as the demon from The Exorcist.
Pazuzu from 1st story was not muslim ...his real name was John Alexander lawson....he never converted to islam....he just portray him self in Iraqi style as pazuzu was a king of demons of the wind in ancient mesopotamian religion....as most of u know mesopotamia occupied the area present day Iraq parts of iran syria and turkey.... Thank god that man from 1st story was saved due to his quick thinking.... 2nd story...hit close to the heart as i am from Pakistan and lives in Islamabad....she described the situation accurately and i hope things get better Thanks to Allah family was saved....
I've heard the true crime stories about Pazuzu and his little cult. I'd recommend looking into it. This dude is lucky to still be here to tell the tale.
I was born in Winston Salem thats down the road from Clemmons and lived there off n on thru the years. Crazy to think that evil was living there the Sametime I was PS Biscuitville rocks
i feel like the guy in the first story is lying about how he just so happened to come across pazuzu’s house, seems to me like he read one too many stories on google and watched one too many videos on youtube.
Story 1: "What's your name?" "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII AMMMMMMM PAAAAAAAAAAAZUUUUUUUUUUZUUUUUUUUUUU!!" "Oh, so you're Exorcist 2 Pazuzu rather than Exorcist 1 Pazuzu." "YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!"
Pazuzu may have been good in the first movie, technically possessing Reagan to torture the pedophiles who'd taken advantage of her. That's only a theory but the subtext, etc fits and the director didn't deny it.
The first story... Of all the houses he could have pulled into that first story is completely true i think John Lawson was the guys name but he called himself pazuzu and he was insane. I'm from NC and he's a reminder you don't know who your neighbor truly is.
While my friend was on a mission, he and a few other missionaries were driving out in the middle of nowhere and got lost because of the GPS. Long story short, they tried turning down a dirt road to get a signal in the Colorado woods, and ran right into a huge weed farm. They were then chased down the road by the drug dealer until they managed to lose them. I don't remember all the details, but I thought that that was terrifying.
Story 4 oops - “He raised the revolver and pointed it at his head and fired” and then “he picked up the shell casings all over the floor.” Revolvers don’t automatically eject shells like other handguns so there wouldn’t have been shell casings all over the floor. D’oh.
Have a great and safe weekend everyone!

The last story broke my heart, that poor baby.
My heart physically hurts just imagining that pain
And we used to talk about the American dream?!?!
Gangs are so fucking stupid it’s a damn shame
Pazuzu has been popping up everywhere I turn these last few days. But no one can make it as interesting a story as Let’s Read. I can’t help to wonder if the guy in the story was there while Josh was in the basement.
You NEED to watch Bailey Sarian, talking about him. She does it a whole lot better & that's no offence to Let's Read, she actually explains the whole story!!

Also, the way he said Alhumdulillah was also pretty damn good. He either is close to these cultures and languages or he practices the pronunciation of these words before recording these stories.

As soon as I looked up Pazuzu from story #1 my heart pounded so hard in my chest out of fear from looking at his picture. 100% spot on, his eyes are the most terrifying thing about him!

Never in my life have I been 8 seconds on time.... hi Joel 🤩
On the fourth story I can back this up. I lived a long time in Sarasota. Most of it is quite safe and even affluent. However, there is an area that is very dangerous and its like one street away from safe areas. It is quite easy to stumble into a very dangerous place with no knowledge of it.
The 1st story is 100% real. He made his own religion.
Yup but damn I wouldn't be scared of that skinny twerp
The house sounds like an edge lord's dream lmao

There are drug cartels, street gangs, various mafias... it’s crazy.
Shawn picked up the shell casings? From his revolver? Cmon.lmao
This first story is all in my neck of
the woods.
Story about Sean Tayler..... he had a revolver. Unless he reloaded, there are no shell casings on the pavement, revolvers do not eject shells.
I live 30 minutes from the first story. Mom and I yard sale every Friday and Saturday and we go thru that community every weekend. It shocked me that this wad was his first storyline
The level of writing for these stories was so good! Real stand outs.

"What's your name?"
"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII AMMMMMMM PAAAAAAAAAAAZUUUUUUUUUUZUUUUUUUUUUU!!"
"Oh, so you're Exorcist 2 Pazuzu rather than Exorcist 1 Pazuzu."
"YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!"
