FLASH FLOOD IN SOUTH OF FRANCE

On March 12, 2022, the departments of Hérault and Aude are placed in Orange vigilance for heavy rain.
The rains begin in the night from Friday to Saturday and it is expected that they will give rise to significant accumulations since over the entire episode the accumulations could approach 500 mm locally. The sea wind is also blowing in a storm and gusts of more than 100 km / h are announced on the Hérault coast for Sunday 03/13/2022.
The level of the Orb is rising rapidly and the rains are continuous, the sirens also sounded around 8 p.m. this Saturday March 12 in order to evacuate the suburbs of the city of Béziers.
Red alert may be in effect tomorrow morning if the rain continues to fall.
