Considering that Ezio lived in the late 15th to the early 16th century, and mechanical clocks were invented around Northern Italy during the early Renaissance period in the 13th century, this would not only have been possible but is purely poetic!

@@imdeepainreborn Me neither, to be honest! After seeing this, out of curiosity, I looked up when mechanical clocks were invented to see if this would have actually been possible in 1400-1500 Italy. Turns out, it would have been! It was even invented around Northern Italy! How poetic can you get? 😅

You know, a mechanism like this would _really_ explain why it took _fucking DaVinci_ to repair the bloody thing back in the 14/1500's - can you imagine just how out of the realm of possibility for normal folk this was? no wonder they were all surprised by a hidden wrist blade! Jesus, man, these things are absolutely incredible!

2:50 To be honest, Clockwork has an elegance and a beauty to it, a Marvel of Mechanical Artistry that cannot truly be replicated by Purely Electrical devices.
You can mimick the sounds of Clockwork with audio devices, but you cannot truly give the same _feel_ of True Clockwork with pure electronics.
I believe that is why Steampunk is so popular, especially when the smaller devices are shown to be Clockwork operated.

This is truely a marvel to behold. I sint think anyone else has figured out how to make such long hidden blades.
I am a blacksmith and have been following you for years now, and this is beyond my ability to understand. However, i feel there must be a way to avoid the huge amount of gears in this.
I would suggest when you feel you have learned all you can about hidden blades that you try to make one as simple, strong, and reliable as possible. These designs are beautiful and if i had the money I would buy them in a heartbeat, but i would be afraid of it breaking, and being unable to repair it if itndis break. At the end of the day this is supposed to be a weapon, andbthe best weapons are reliable and resilient.
Thanks for sharing the journey with us.

Awesome! I'm so happy to see people quit OTF design. Your hb is so long, just like the old game. This hb in my Tourbillon project since 2022. Let's make a more complex hb, closer to real tourbillon. I subscribed your channel, I want to see your tourbillon hb in the future

@@imdeepainreborn thanks for the praise, my goal was to make it as long as possible while being as compact at the same time, it's my first design though, so a long way to go haha. Sounds good, I look forward to seeing what you come up with next :)

Stellar design! I've been trying to tack the Ezio's blade for the past 3 years. I adore the dual sping it, super obvious way to add more power to the blade action!
I've been trying some methods to get rid off the rack and pinion system for a while now, at least making the racks shorter. I've been using it for the middle blade but i'll recommend a recent concept I've been trying successfully: Instead of using a long rack and a single pinion, using multiple pinions on a row to keep on engaging a shorter rack, to correct the counter rotation I've been putting smaller gears that can't mesh with the rack (I'm done with reducing the part count, we're already hollowing the structures for adding those loops anyway). It's working nicely for replacing the wire loop but I can totally see it for hiding the rack teeth on the outer middle blade to be hidden inside the frame.
Anyway, thanks for all your work over the years you've been a huge inspiration for us all

I gotta say, Ive waited years for you to finally do Ezio's Romana design and you did not disappoint. Its an intriguing choice to go with this mechanism but it sorta makes sense if Da Vinci were to the one to design this. The spring wind up does give me an idea though. What if you applied this to Arno's Phantom blade? Have the coiled springs act as the wind up for the bow arms. I feel like its the only way to properly create a proper weight to power ratio since depending how large of a coil you create, you could create a decent miniature crossbow. Hopefully Ive planted a new idea with what I suggested as the phantom blade was one the first thing that introduced you to me back in 2014.

I'm so glad I followed your Channel. I remember when everyone was in the Rat Race for figuring out the wheel lock mechanism and then you started playing around with the gears. There was Abonude with the hidden blades xiphoid and then came the wheel lock otf with Amnara then came raw ice and then you threw your hat into the ring as well. I'm not sure who was showing content first though I don't want to put that in any kind of order that's just how I remember it. I'm 30 now so... The engraving is beautiful the design is elegant the price is way beyond my capabilities but I followed you long enough to figure out how to make this myself. Congratulations on your business venture. As a fan all I can hope for is eventually if you get a free STL on an old design you drop the link. Currently I'm messing around with a system called jungle snot and it can hypothetically turn plastic weapons into non-promisive environment tools capable of puncturing the bad guy. Just mix together a little bit of super glue and seasoning powder on any of your 3D builds. Tip the blade bro. Will this clear the second half of the extension bracket?

looking at the ezio design and even the origins design they absolutely 100% used this style of design for the spriing. ezio's design even has a clat out whinder like yours. the indent is inward and not outward and is a strip vs hoop. but you've come another step closer to a true game accurate design.

This is much closer to the Giovanni Auditore's hidden blade but anyway it's soo cool and amazingly done!!! Probably the one that comes closest to the original design and maybe also the mechanism.
I was really waiting for this but I would have liked to see the movement of the upper body together with the opening of the blade as you did in the previous "Altair Game accurate fully functional Hidden blade V3" ... we can see that from many pictures of Ezio with open blade and if I remember right from the videogame too? Even the reload tool has different shape but I understand you made it more original.
