On Duracell batteries there's a sticker on the bottom telling you not to swallow the battery. What it doesn't tell, you which would be much more useful, is that you have to remove the sticker before installing the battery or it won't work. Nice one Duracell!
Car wouldn’t start after replacing battery three days ago. I watched this video while waiting on roadside assistance and it worked! Woww! 😩 thanks so much for uploading this
I’m having the same problems having dropped my key in the sink by accident. I have changed the battery inside the key 3 times but the fob kills the battery so I’m assuming it’s internal damage rather than a battery issue. I am now resorting to starting the car the same way you have in this video. The alarm always goes off when I turn the key in the lock from the outside which is annoying and embarrassing especially when in public. Is there any way to avoid the alarm blaring out apart from leaving the car unlocked??
Unfortunately I don’t think there is any way to disable that feature unless you mess around with main circuit board which will probably be too risky, you might have to go down the route of a new expensive replacement
The other way you could do it is if you have the Jaguar app subscription, you can lock/unlock car through the app, I use it a lot to warm car in winter before I get to car or cool it down in summer
@@ChoccoMonsta thanks for enlightening me I wasn’t even familiar with the app until you but told me about it. Saved me so much hassle my friend thank you 🙏🏾
I changed the battery but I still get a signal of low battery crank engine now everytime I get in the car. The place I bought the car from sent me a key fob without a key inside of it
Hey, couple of things to try if not done already, when you get the new battery, remove the plastic seal from the bottom before placing in remote, if still no luck, try another battery. Failing that, you may need to get it checked out via a Jaguar dealer, but that might be pricey

“Crank engine now”? Doesn’t sound key fob related are you sure it’s not an engine warning of some sort?
@@DanielHarrisCodes it was for the regular battery
I lost the silver part can I purchase
@@barbaracarnell7638 best ask a Jag dealer, or try and google it
Thank you.
You’re welcome
Don’t this but my key fob needs reset every time and it will not open or lock the car electronically
