Jeez, I had no idea Kansas dealt with this serious winter weather. Shout out to all the brave and professional men and women that clear the roads, rescue and safely remove overturned and stranded vehicles, law enforcement officers on and off duty that work throughout this misery and of course the professional fire and paramedic crews that brave the elements to save lives!
My question to anyone that's out in it if your not emergency response and law enforcement why are yall even out in the first place..Stop thinking because you brought a 80 thousand dollar truck you king of the road i saw several pick ups act like they cant be touched but anyone can get stuck and need help so simply stay in God bless and protect all who made dumb decisions to go out in this weather
Living in Eastern Ontario, I feel sorry for everyone down there that got a taste of what we normally go through this time of year. But, thank you for sending your weather up here. I'm used to 3 feet of snow in January, but only have 2 inches😁
Thundersnow is seriously wikked. Last time I had it you could actually see the snow accumulation; it was snowing that heavy. Scary stuff. You start thinking about power outages and heat, and having enough food. Stay SAFE.
Yeah about thunder snow…What is not frequently observed is that lightening sometimes strikes the ground. I KNOW! Lightening struck a tree less than 200 feet from me as I shoveled snow! Of course I ducked…what a stupid move. I was as good as dead if the lightening had taken aim at me!
You can ALWAYS tell an incompetent driver by their use of hazard lights while driving. Not only is it illegal in many places, hazards override signal lights, and on many cars the brake lights as well, both of which are more important than ever in low visibility conditions. You don't have to put on hazards for people to see you - they can see you already, especially if you put on your normal lights. You don't have to "tell" people it's bad weather either - they know. Driving with hazard lights also makes people using them correctly look like movers when they are instead stopped, resulting in pile-ups in poor visibility conditions. Stop driving with hazards unless you're stopping or stopped.

BLARG!!! Man those drifts are the WORST!!! Love your rig though: been looking at those to replace my aging FJ Cruiser. With some decent All Terrain tires, and I bet you would have been fine. Might be time to carry a good square nose shovel and snow shovel and 50lbs of kitty litter!
Unfortunately with it being a rental I had no control over what tires. But yeah I’m sure it would have done better with way better tires. Won’t be able to get another dedicated chase vehicle for a while :(
@@StormChaserTylerKurtz OH! LOL, damn rentals!!! Well keep your eyes out for a good FJ Cruiser. They are freaking tanks, and insanly reliable and dependable, and I think make a GREAT chase vehicle platform.
It could be a lot more snow than they're getting I will have to work on that Raymond Paul Sullivan III me myself and I and him RPS 111 new and Ray and God are moving on looking for something big
It's funny the road signs say, roads are snow packed and icy. What gave them that idea? Can the signs at least tell us something we don't know. They should say, Idiot...get off the road. Not the truckers, just everyone else.
Funny, my KIA Sportage with AWD and snow rated tires has no problems at all. Frequently it's the guys with their manly 4wd trucks and Jeeps I see slid off the road and stuck in the ditch lol.

Glad to see my packages will arrive from Amazon!!
Buddy, Hell of a job yesterday. All that ice under snow makes it rough for anything on the road. Glad you got out and home.

Yep and I really hope trump doesn't make Canada a state of the US , nothing there we want 😂
@@davidmellet261Well hopefully Trudeau will resign and things will get better for Canada.
I'm in Wisconsin and they can keep it to the south. I hate snow.

Good job.
Way to go bro good job
I would love to know what kind of vehicle you’re driving and what do you use for tires?
Unfortunately for this chase, I was in a Hyundai Santa Fe Rental car
Wow, you need to become an Ice road Trucker, not sure if you have seen the show, awesome driving.
Excellent severe winter video Tyler! The thundersnow segments were insane!
Thank you Jim! Still can’t believe that thundersnow
I agree Jim crazy weather thank god you got out finally
Extreme weather like this can be dangerous. Stock up on essentials and keep warm, everyone

Why are folks even on the road when they know the conditions are bad.
I think we need to spend our money on our country instead of sending billions to Ukraine and Israel ...
Thunder is a sound that is lightening snow.
Good stuff!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
@ sorry you got stuck man. The new Santa Fe looks good though! Hope you’re thawed out by now.
That thing is so nice for normal driving conditions but snow.. not so much. Guess that’s more so the newer cars in general lol

That is cool to see thunder snow
I'm still geeking out lol
Unbelievable that so many people think that they can drive on ice🤪
This looks dangerous
No job is worth dying for! Close the hiway down!
It doesn’t sound fun sleet
Every rain drop is a small ice cycle. Pretty, yet pretty dangerous.

TIPS FOR DRIVING IN SNOW AND ON ICE TIPS:
#1 Stay Home
#2 Stay Home
#3 Stay Home
I'm glade I'm not driving anymore
These are stupid for being out in it
You guys in Canada...right😂
Driving in these whiteout conditions is stupid enough, and on top of that, many drivers don't even have their headlights on.🤪🤡
It better stay home and not use any trips in such time.
If you live where it snows every vehicle should have a snow plow attachment.
I think auto manufacturers should be required to put tow strap hooks on every vehicle.
Were freezing our asses off...Pray for the power company..
Looks like Vermont to me. So glad I am retired.

No. It's called Winter.......
warm green house gasses 😮😂
Clear evidence of global warming. You were warned 😂🤣
So you see people injured and I'm need in the freezing cold and don't stop and help? Typical Yankee behavior.
How come those road signs aren't bilingual? lol
