As Neil said what can any of us do to help these families at this time except be there to listen and let them know they are not alone. Because the riots took the focus from those beautiful children who deserved to be remembered.
Rebecca English said the palace staff thought Mr Trump was courteous and pleasant, nothing negative about him was said. She also said the Queen never spoke her thoughts on dignities to friends.
I believe that any criticism of Trump by QE II is an invention of ratings-driven media. IMHO, she was amused by him and showed him respect (as the leader of a nation with close ties to UK). Though we will never know her true personal thoughts, her distain for a few other Presidents and "Country Leaders" is known, if not well-documented. She was a true diplomat whose impartiality I hope successive Monarchs are able to emulate.

I think Mr Trump was a bit clumsy and perhaps not versed in certain things but i don't believe that he waz rude nir meant any harm to HLMTQ. I alsi disbelieve that she would have said such things because she was extremely tactful and diplomatic. How sad that people criticise King Charles for visiting Southport snd wanting to support the victims families. He is such a caring Monsrch, I don't know how people cannot see that.
Thsnk you Neil for bringing the true story about our Queen and Mr Trump
It's great ; just knowing that he's thinking of them is a good thing. ❤
Trump would never be rude to the Queen. He admired and respected her. So tired of lies about him.
Agree. I am, too, but that seems to be all they can do. I don't know how he and his family can hold up under all of the hate
Sorry, Trump is a master liar.
Don't support Trump BUT I thought when he met the Queen he was like a big happy excited kid. So cute.
I support D.Trump I don’t agree with everything but the press is relentless on him . Donald Trump loved and respected Queen Elizabeth I l .
Because of people like you and me that actually kn!ow of the behind the scenes and the things he doesn't get thanks for. Or the things he does for people that no one knows about. He doesn't ho around d bragging about some of the god blessed things he's been able to do to help people!
King Charles is very kind man ….. and I thought it was amazing that he visited and spoke with the families… without posting pictures everywhere….. I was horrified to hear children were killed 😢 so tragic…. So sad 😞
@Tomtaylor didn’t post pictures cause he was wayyyyy late to the event
@@willainerosenau6782 He isn't a show pony bolting to a party dear.
After a respectful amount of time to allow the parents and community to mourn, he paid his respects and helped lift people back onto their feet.
That's what care and dignity look like. It's a shame you can't recognise it.
@brightangel- k so , I’m not your “dear”
To me it looks like after being pressured, Charles hauled himself out of his lounger, and did what had to be done. Duty. Not compassion
@@willainerosenau6782 hehe no sense of humour either
@@Brightangel55Well said ❤
Being from Southport, the Kings visit was very much welcomed.
It shows he cares and that matters. Can't change anything but it shows the families that they matter
Everyone this is a very good sign. Charles must have taken a good look at what is happening to the people. And by stepping out to acknowledge the situation, Charles is showing that the royals stand with the people. This has to be a big blow to Starmer. Stay strong and UNITED and you will get your country back.
@almart6715 stands with the people when he’s not on holiday. Took him long enough to get round to it. Looked like an afterthought actually
@@willainerosenau6782I disagree. Sir Keir Starmer the PM also visited and you seem to forget that the King is battling Cancer and the treatment does take it out of you so he visited when he was feeling better.
@@willainerosenau6782 Our Royals never make visits in these situations until things have calmed down. It's protocol, so that they don't put extra pressure an the police and emergency services at a difficult time. It was not an afterthought.
What are you waffling on about. The poor lad [and there are reports he possibly had some kind of psychotic break, no doubt it will all come out in time] WAS BRITISH, BORN IN WALES, RAISED IN LANCASHIRE, A LIFELONG CHRISTIAN so how the blazes does that go with ''get your country back''. Get it back from whom, the flippin' WELSH [my great great grandfather was Welsh and I find this continual racism against a WELSH lad very very annoying - being polite here, I'm also Christian and find the continued implied religious bigotry against a CHRISTIAN BOY equally annoying,]. I don't think ENGLAND needs to be saved from WELSH CHRISTIANS thank you.
@@willainerosenau6782 It gave the families time to GRIEVE in private before having to go out in public and talk to someone else about it. It's called COMPASSION
President Trump had great respect and admiration for the late Queen. He was never rude to her. She spent more than the allotted time with him. Plus, Melania Trump developed a lasting friendship with the Queen as well.
I have a bridge for sale since you are buying.
I think she behave as a queen should and with great diplomacy. Don't read anymore into it than that.
@@Brightangel55 I could understand her remaining in contact with Melania though, she always looked well out of her comfort zone and seems to be a nice person. Her husband not so much as he is currently displaying in full on various public interviews at present.
Yet he disrespected her at least twice by walking in front of her when she should of, at best, have been beside her or behind her.
Donald Trump treated the Queen with true respect, president Biden wasn't nice about her Majesty at all
Queen Elizabeth knew the old adage it’s easier to catch flies with honey than vinegar. 🤣Seriously though she was an amazingly kind and intelligent woman who believed that the high road was always the least traveled. She is missed by many 🌹👑
She also had class
@@georgiapines7906 yes she did and thank you for including my omission!!👍
She was in effect the chief UK diplomat and knew just how to handle circumstance and people.
Personal feelings don't intrude into the public domain.
Neil, Lady Colin Campbell agrees with your assessment! She said she would not buy his book!
The point of a constitutional monarchy is precisely that they can represent the whole country when these disasters happen in a way that no politician can. The King has acted completely appropriately
Thank you Neil for giving fair and balanced coverage for Donald Trump. ❤
Yes 👍
Book writing has become a cottage industry since Queen Elizabeth II passed away and she is sorely missed, but no one can live forever. I don't buy these books everyone is writing just to give their opinion, we get too much of that here across the pond and they can be vicious. A big 👋 from deep in the ❤ of Texas and Cheers y'all 😊
Even if she disliked him, and that's a big if, she never let it known to people. She wasn't one to gossip or say anything negative about a person. She was very good at keeping her personal feelings to herself. This author couldn't have possibly known her feelings on the subject.
Knowing your child mattered. Knowing people care and they’re not just moving on helps. The king was right to visit and he was right to wait a sufficient time so the families could handle it. Too soon and it’s too fresh, you’re too numb.
I agree
You could tell queen elizabeth liked Donald Trump.weird how this has come out just before the presidential election.
Doesn’t surprise me at all! Democrats will jump at anything to disparage President Trump!
Yes 👍
Yes, QE2 was very diplomatic, graceful and discreet. It would never come out what she thought of people. Personally, I think they got on well, mutual respect.
Donald Trump was never rude to Queen Elizabeth II- he greatly respected her and they got on well.
She despised him. Trump was in love with her position, wealth, and the way she was revered by the UK people. She, however, had no like for him or anything to do with him. But she always did her duty and if enduring time with him was what was required, she would do it.
Are you joking? Donald Trump is a compulsive liar, and insufferably rude.
@@robm9999You are so full of BS that it’s running out of your mouth! You are spouting a deliberate lie and I despise you even though I don’t know (or even care) who you are! I’m guessing you are a loyal Democrat!

Nicely put Neil.
I didn't believe that the author for one second.
I'm surprised that people would be so unkind to the King extending his sympathies and condolences to the family of the children that were killed. THAT'S what a leader does. Can he do anything to ease their pain, probably not, but at a time like this it's nice to know that the King cares about their pain and loss. As for the story about the Queen and Trump, I didn't believe it for one second. The Queen was the height of discretion and would have never said something like that to anyone other than PP.
My king visited the families at the right time. He gave the families time to grieve
Our dignity have fallen so low, this is what we resorting to; lie on the dead.
Ofcourse the dead can't speak for themselves and its the very reason why nature itself will demand justice on their behalf.
So low at a gutter level that you can lie on the dead just to sell a book.
Such a pity.
Unlike someone in California, The King represents the country. It can be a comfort knowing the country supports you when you are having difficulties.
I thought it was a beautiful thing to see the King in Southport, it was absolutely horrible and the UK PM needs to be removed immediately.
Trump may not have realised that he wasnt meant to walk ahead of her,it wouldn't have been intended to be offensive.i ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BELIEVE HE WOULD BE RUDE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH 11.thats malicious ,troublemakingbBS.He loved and admired her along with the rest of us.And thank you King Charles for taking the time to visit the families of the little girls.✌️

The murder rate in USA per million people is 4 times that of the UK, I respectfully suggest you might worry about that

Funny how this rumor was started when Trump is running for president again, Neil. I doubt that QEII would have stated this to anyone.
The fact a King attends the grieving parents and town demonstrates a king and man with compassion. Our King is very kind and considerate and puts others wellbeing before his own. Mischievous people, as usual, try to besmirch our Royal family. Too bad you failed again. We support our RF.

Thank you, Neil. the King is a compassionate man. He is doing his job admirably while going through cancer treatment. God bless both the King and Queen!!😍😍
He is representing all the people in Britain, showing he cares about the terrible tragedy these families are suffering.
God bless King Charles 🙏 his visit was very welcomed by the families and public 🙏
Her majesty the late Queen Elizabeth was very respectful! 🙏 and didn’t get involved in politics 🙏
The grieving families felt comforted, and that is enough
I'm from Liverpool, although I live in the Midlands, but I visit my family who are still there... My sister goes to Southport twice a week for coffee and lunch with her friend who does live there.... She was overwhelmed by the kindness the King showed those families, no one knew the King was going there except the families, and he didn't want outsiders taking away from those families... She said the thoughtfulness he gave to them and the empathy was palatable... He then went down to London to see more of the families in private... Now that tells me we have a KING to be proud of.... God save our beautiful Royal Family.... 🙏👑🙏👑🙏👑GB
I love the real Royals. It shows that the King cares. It is his country. I loved Margaret Thatcher. She stuck to her promises. Not like this lot. I think Trump is going to be the best option. No wave.
If you think Trump is the best option, you come live in his little world. You need to do some research on Trump. He's a freaking felonious sa. Proven in court, he abused E. Jean Carroll. He owes her a judgement of over $88,000,000 for heavens sake!
That smile she gave Trump was so genuine and she was far to classy a lady to speak in such derogatory terms ❤️❤️❤️🏴
DJT probably amused the Queen no end!💯🤣
As Neil said what can any of us do to help these families at this time except be there to listen and let them know they are not alone. Because the riots took the focus from those beautiful children who deserved to be remembered.
Queen Elizabeth ll and president trump had a beautiful relationship… I think they both admired each other….
King Charles showed he care. As Starmer and his gang did not.
Thanks so much about the Queen

One of my favourite stories is the one when Mr Trump departed Buckingham Palace, and the Queen complained that that his helicopter had ruined her lawn. It reminded me so much of my grandmother and her obsession with her garden. 🌳🌲🌹⚘️
Her majesty probably said it tongue in cheek. She had a well honed sense of humour. Many helicopters land on that lawn.
They both are quick-witted. I would have enjoyed being a mouse in the corner during an afternoon tea between those two. 😊
@@user-lg2yp8od3z I doubt whether the queen or the staff who work to keep the lawn in impeccable condition found the scorched grass and divots caused by Marine One particulary "funny".

It is odd that people are questioning King Charles’ visiting the families of the recently children slain at a dance party. Are they unfamiliar with the comfort of condolences?
