@RgttoAnimDzgner Here's the thing in Japan Anime is equivalent to Tv Shows in the US so they get the best voice acting, but in the Us Anime is not really that popular, so the voice acting is from C to D list actors.

i think the dub for this lobby arc was actually good low key same for post lobby...water 7 was ok but the funimation dub cast and directing was solid on this arc..but only this arc..sub is still better but i like the dub effort for this arc...they went ham

one piece is a narrative puzzle that gets solved slowly over time with every possible piece mattering...i think what people don't get about one piece is how even a early arc like orange town or syrup village or skypeia matters to the story oda wants to tell....he wants to do a arc randomly about dreams and adventure and gods and all this and he chose to do it after alabasta which was so different and this noland flashback not connected tot he crew stuff made it feel special compared to what came before it cause its so random and in that same arc we met the final villain of the story so all the warlords and got multiple character moments from the og 3....its more then just one story its trying to be everything at once and i gotta say i kinda miss this kind of storytelling pre timeskip where stuff was not planned out ahead and we had no clue of a new island and things just were brand new instead of shown years before..like i don't want to know about elbaf raftel and god valley before we get there...we had no clue about little garden....thats what makes it cool or whiskey peak
Rewatching Luccis fight made the fight with katakuri make more sense and now that he is against kaido it makes even more sense I love how luffys fighting style has evolved through each of those fights
Yeah, every one of those fights he is outmatched but makes up for it with willpower, resulting in growth. Fuck a training arc.

Usopp can also see better because he's the sniper of the team. Remember, he was shooting down Spandam and his men from the Tower of Law, which is way farther than where Luffy was when he was talking to him.

Yeh XD. My friend and my cousin are basically like that they've even rewatched the filler ;-; and I'm currently on punk hazard, we talk about every arc I finish (good refresher for them too).
Im just scared they get pissed off at the pacing in dressrosa, whole cake island and wano. Even though the high points in those arcs are unmatched and spectacular, I can feel that they will complain alot about the pacing then.
I love how they think this is usopp is back, the real return is so much better of a moment in my opinion.🙏🏼
One Piece may not have the best/most technical / most original fights, but it certainly has some of the most emotionally heavy fights ! The fights in One Piece are basically a clash of wills.
I agree with technical, Naruto and HunterxHunter are way more technical and definitely One Piece battles are more focused on the emotions and the will, but originality? I haven't seen an anime that have fights using biscuits, mochi or hormones. As absurd as it is, the crazy devil fruits Oda is able to create are very original. Although Haki can be pretty basic.

I agree, unlike other shows like naruto, bleach, hunterxhunter I truly care about the one piece fights. The reasons behind them, the emotions that drive it and the backstories/history of the people in the fights is something you dont get from other shows.

The character design is one aspect that makes OP unique. Cause I like that many OP characters are different shapes, sizes and colors just like the real world. I think it's more meaningful that way instead of having every character look like a supermodel.

Favorite moment in this whole fight is the callback to Lucci taking significant damage by Luffy's Elephant Gun. I love how the damage was so severe, it made Lucci stumble, which cost him the perfect opportunity to end the fight when Luffy was still in his chibi form. The two were pretty evenly matched during the beginning of the fight, alternating between one of them getting the upper hand but not completely dominating until the climax where they're both exhausted. This is by far the best fight in the series.

Luccis design has always been cold right down to the markings on his fur. And the fact that he’s an unmoved, unbothered killing machine of the WG who lives for the fight and to set an example of the world governments power and drive. And let me reiterate. Gear 2 is one of the best transformations ever. How raw is it that your boys blood boils to the point of steam? Come on. Burning passion, flying flurries of fist, great moments, one piece is on top.

Pretty amazing they uploaded the reaction to this around the same time of Ichigo vs Grimmjow reaction. These two fights give me the same vibe (ig because of how the portagonist upgraded themselves and fought a cat-like enemy), both are considered as one of the iconic fights in each of their respective shows, and it was in an arc to rescue their friend
One Piece has its slow moments because the anime is so long and for a while they didn't wanna catch up to the manga but man, most of it is enough to make it the best anime ever. It's already the best manga ever. The things you'll see as you go on is incredible!

It's funny you mention My Hero and some of the similarities because Horikoshi, the author of My Hero, is a huge fan of One Piece and way back in the Alabasta arc he actually had some of his artwork of Smoker featured in the 23rd volume of One Piece. He's also redrawn a lot of the characters in his own style to look a bit more like the characters from My Hero.
Also, the author of Dr. Stone redrew the chapter where Zoro and Mihawk fight from the Baratie because it's his favorite chapter.
I had forgotten that Zoro almost died but thankfully SOGEKING saved him.
Character design is cool and all but when an anime makes something that could be mistaken for a potato feel epic, that’s the best anime
