Its thrilling to know your ancestors name being mentioned in modern day podcast. Krishnananda Agamabagis or Krishnananda Bhattacharya was my 7th ancestor. His direct descendants till date lives in Calcutta and performs same Puja on same structure every year.

Great to know that your ancestor popularised Kali Puja. He may have been an even older ancestor than the number 7 you mention since he was born around 1533 CE. I have always been interested in the origins of tantric tradition as it is different from the mainstream vedic-puranic religion.

In Bengali Vaishnavism there is a story about how Sri Radhika's husband Ayan Ghosh (who was a devout Bhakta of Kali) caught Radha with Kriahna and at that moment Sri Krishna transforms into Maa Kali. Kali and Krishna are the two sides of the same coin. As per a beautiful Shayama Sangeet (a genre of Bangla Bhakti sangeet dedicated purely to Kali) the devotee asks Kali 'bol ma shyama kothay aache noboghonshyam' which means tell me mother where is nava ghanshyam.

I already knew this fact that Lord Krishna is Maa Kali and Maa Kali is Lord Krishna. There's a very famous saying in Bengali by Sri Gadadhara Chatterjee ,a devout worshipper of Goddess Kali. He once said," Kali hi Krishna, Krishna hi Kali." Which means Kali and Krishna are ONE!

There is Om swami in Rishikesh. Swami workships Lord Vishnu and Ma in same idol. Morning it is Vishnu and evening it is Ma. There is no difference between Kali maa and Sreeji. Both are dark in colour as well.

You will find the story in Devi Puran mahabhagvat published by Gita Press. Ma Kali took Krishna avatar and Lord Shiva took Radha avatar in one dwapar yuga.

These three tridevi are only mentioned in Sri Sri Chandi book as Goddesses controlling the 3gunas , and Devi Durga as Aadishakti is a combination of tridevis

I very miraculously was drawn to Devi worship few years ago. I used to read Durga Saptasati (known as Shree Chandi in western states) after some repetitive dreams on maa in various forms...very soon after such dreams I faced a period of metamorphosis in my life where I was yearning to feel and see God, in pursuit of my interest I decided to jump into texts of Swami Vivekananda, through him I reached Thakur Ramkrishna Paramhans and ultimately... Maa Dakshineswari...
I was very young when all this was happening and had to pursue my worldly life simultaneously amidst all this. Today, I stand as a completely different human than what I was few years back... Have got courage to take some unconventional life choices too.
Why am I telling you all this is because last month, out of nowhere, under very unimaginable circumstances I happened to visit Odisha and had my darshan at Jagannath Puri temple too....I literally felt very very very powerful energy in the garbhgruh but somehow I couldn't connect that energy only with lord Krishna... Because of my occasionally agnostic nature...I never disclosed this to people around me for fear of being mocked or labelled insane (Since Jagannath Temple is widely accepted to be associated with lord Krishna)
Your revelation has really left me with no words..... It's on similar lines to what my intuition was saying.

There are basically two ways of worshiping we have from ancient times. One is Aagam and other is Nigam. Aagam is tantra. Nigam is Veda. There is nothing good and bad, white and black like things. Just two seperate ways. In tantra there are godesses related to godesses of Veda. E.g. Matangi is tantrik sarasvati. Tripur sundari is tantrik Parvati and Kamala is tantrik Lakshmi. There are also godesses related to gods. Bhairavi is related to Bhairav. Vaishnavi to Vishnu. As per bengali mystical tradition it is believed that krishna is male embodiment of kaali. The freedom of choice in worship as a Hindu we are enjoying is not seen anywhere in the world. We can worship the god or godess that suits our temperament. We can choose the method that suits our mind. We can offer Pooja, do karmakanda, archana, japa, Bhajan-kirtana, Bhakti or if we want to do nothing we can meditate (dhyana). Dhyana is nothing but the process of being nothing at all.

Many years ago my dad told me that Krishna and Kaali are the same. He was a man of wisdom and great knowledge. I was probably 15 yrs old at that time. Since then i have always seen Maa Kaali in Shree Krishna and vice versa. Today, hearing this from Rajshri ji astonished me.

In Bengal a form of Maa Kali known as Ratanti Kali is worshiped. There is a very interesting story behind this where Lord Krishna transformed himself to Maa Kali. One can Google it to know the actual story behind this. This is a strong example where Vaishnava and Sakta believes are amalgated together.
10 avtars of shri hari vishnu carries 10 mahavidhyas with them. for eg, shri krishna is worshipped with maa kaali.

Thats purely true. In Odisha, people used to worship Shyama Kali mean Krishna kali. All dus avataar are considered as dus manha vidya. Tara as Ram, Kali as Krishna, Matangi as Parshuram form. In Jaganaaath culture, sloka is spelled "Ugrataram Shula panim Shubhdram ch bhubaneshwarim niladrau sri Jagannath sakshat dakshin kalika. Balabhadra as Tara, Subhdra as Bhubaneshwari and Lord Jagannath (Lord Krishna) as Dashin kali worshipped in Puri in tantrik way. 🙏

When he talked about Krishna and Kali, I was reminded of Mata amritanandamayi, an enlightened master, often described as the hugging saint from the district of Kollam, Kerala, who used to give Darshan to her devotees both in Krishna and devi form in the initial statages of her spiritual life.......Later, it became Devi only....People call her Amma, Mata, mother Godess etc....She is considered as the incarnation of mother Godesses......I guess, English translations of her speech are available on UA-cam...Devotion, bhakti yoga is her path....Her ashram into many philanthropic activities and recently established Asia's biggest hospital in the state of Hariyana, I guess...My pranams to the lotus feet of Amma ....

The whole story is that when radha after her marriage went to meet krishna midnight once her inlaws in order to catch her red handed went behind her but as they came to the spot krishna takes the form of kaali and radha is worshipping her. In shrimad bhagwad geeta which is spoken by lord himself he says i am the substance of the vedas . He clearly says that he is the supreme so there mustn't be any doubt .

We have Lord Shiva worshipped in Vrindhavan dham. And Lord Shiva being the foremost Vaishnava, who always chants the name of Lord Rama. And Hanuman being an incarnation of Lord Shiva who again chants the name of Lord Rama.

Its very strange I went to Rama temple in Hyd Ammapally near Shamshabad airport and this temple is quite famous fr it’s one shot of a scene in this temple it’s super hit like this it has record of 450 movies I think, Vishnu’s dash avatara murti felt like Kaali Maa as whole. Kali shown me herself when I asked her directly, that she is also Vishnu the destroyer of worlds! At the end of the kali yuga. At the time I had no previous knowledge of that truth, Vishnu with the title Destroyer Of Worlds, I did a little research and was surprised to find the exact title documented.

Kaali is parashakti and Krishna is parampurusha. Krishner ananto shakti. There is no difference between shakti and shaktimaan. Shakti ko shaktimaan nirdesh par hi kaam karti hei.
Who is radha ? Radha is prem shakti to whom Krishna prays. She got one more power than Krishna called madan prem shakti which makes Radha superior and Krishna dasa of radha.

There is 10 Mahavidya there is 10 Mahaavtar , there is a story of Shiva & Narayan(as mohini rup) marriage, as we know Narayan is Palanhar,but we also know that Yougmaya & Mahamaya is running the world,Narayan & Ma Durga consider eachother as Brother & sister, when Krishna was born In jail,Yougmaya also born in Gokul,& they exchange place,& one of story is that when Radha came to meet Krishna,Ayan ( Husband of Radharani) came to check where she is? Krishna turned into Ma kali,& Ayan saw Radharani worshiping Ma kali,as Ayan was also a great devotee of Ma kali, moral of the all these stories is we need to connect all the dots to understand by these stories what was trying to tell us by the supreme!
