As far as I can remember, ju 288 has always been spammed in. It's just the player base at this br for the German team has been greatly reduce, leaving the sl grinder with their JU's.
I remember when I was grinding Germany and you had the pre nerf Re 2005 , G 56 , Ta 152's and K4's all sitting at 5.7 forming a formidable team ready to mow down everything. Sure all of these planes cost more than 20k to repair but you didn't die all that often making spading and flying all these aircraft enjoyable.

F2g spam killed 5.7 prop, one of my all time favorite brs. Prior to the F2g, 5.7 matches were full, now, however, there are 6 players for team, and half the time 75-80% of your teammates are bombers.
My main problem isn’t F2G because Ta 152 H can stomp on it and vice versa which balances things a bit. But it’s bomber spam. Idk what drives ppl to spam ju 288 without break…

War thunder should be doing “symmetrical” match making where there are the same number and type of useless planes on each side and the same number of fighters
American teams aren’t that much better either, because the F2G just acts like the braindead counter to the Ju-288, so when they get up against something that isn’t Ju-288 spam they also get their shit kicked.
Yep. Not to mention half the f2g’s are ground pounding. It’s weird. It’s like you have the option to live, and take the more important fights, and lose the game, or you go after the guys ground pounding and then die to somebody from up high. That said though, you can definitely rack up a solid amount of kills playing Germany. Had a couple really good examples of this but game audio didn’t record on those.

honestly i enjoy how bf 109s feel 4.7-5.7. you can get 3-6 kills half the time and anhiallate enemies using your energy advantage. i don't really care if i lose or not as long as i get at least one good fight , kill and don't die

This BR would be the pinnacle of the prop era, with super props and early jest from every nation doing some insane stunts, but no it's just JU-288 spam every single time.
A few years ago, before supersonics came out, I grinded up to the MiG-15bis mostly with the Bf-109 G-6. I have more SL made on that in 200 odd games than I do across my supersonic jets, 200+ in a few of them.
I wish gaijin would implement a percentage cap for the number of bombers instead of this numbers cap system, this way games with 50% bombers can't happen.
I mean, the ju is incredible for air tree grinding, its hard to blame players using it, considering war thunders stupidly long grind + i have a nearly positive K/D with mine, they dont inherently drag down your game, its just that a lot of people who play them are braindead
As a Ju288C main I can confirm that. Most people don't even try to dodge atacks. I have rounds where I have the most planes destroyed at the end because aparently even the enemy team gets stupid thinking every Ju288C player is an idiot.

Yeah it sucks. All the SL/German air grinders ruined that BR. A lot of the competent pilots also stopped playing when they changed the matchmaking to non historical. I learned how to fly in 109's and it was the best experience I've ever had playing WT. Air is a far cry from what it used to be. Newer players have no idea what they missed. I can't stand to even play it anymore knowing how it used to be. I just fly in ground now to get that fix. At least you can get some solid dogfights there most of the time.
EZ fix for ju288 is if both sides have ju288. historically inaccurate you say? Ith war thunder bitch, game where f14 vs f14 is a norm on top tier, so why axis is the only one who must suffer like this?
An amazing plane which feels great to fly, its camo is beautiful just like its airframe and the way you can customize its weapons is interesting. So yeah, everything about the aircraft itself is incredible. I hate playing it 😒
They should add rounds, and each round the base location and ground forces move either direction; based on how fast a base is destroyed, or planes lost. each round gives u a spawn. buffer time between rounds is pvp and should only last 2 min. small maps could be 2 or 3 rounds. large maps 4- 6 rounds. That or add game modes based on plane types; so each plane can fulfill their design purpose. I think they should reward for completing objectives and have dogfights only count towards the end if all task are completed.
I kinda love and hate this… Anm2s can kill them easy although they are soo fast from a dive that you can rarely catch-up. If it wasn’t as fast and not like a do…

Man went into a dogfight with a Yak-3U at low altitude. Also, the reason why Germany had so many aces was because they were usually out numbered, just like in-game
Flying anything German right now just feels like a massive headache. Trying to fly the Bf-109 K4, Fw-190 D13/12/9, or the Bf-109 G10, and its just nothing but teams of Ju-288s, the worst part is... you get to fight superprops! P-51 H-5? outdoes you in practically everything (except for the Focke Wulf's roll rates.) Got a couple teammates that are actually in fighters? Nope they won't help you because guess what! they are too busy sticking low to the deck and not ***climbing*** and playing it smart. Absolutely tired of these awful teams and the opposition getting carried by planes that shouldn't even be in the game or fighting against the things they do.
I played Abit props today and I have to say 50% are braindead not even climbingm idk i have the feeling that the RB players were better in the days could be wrong though.
I play a lot of Ju288 and in regular I wait up to 2 minutes to join the match. Probably thats one of the reasons why there are so many of us in single match
I use the g2 trop with gun pods the k4 seems to heavy for me with pods. I use them with the g6 as well,i dont fly the k4 that often but enjoy it when i do.... good video, i like your commentary. Good job
spading the Ta-152 in this current meta would've definitely been super annoying if I didnt have my friends/squadmates to play with. In that environment coordinated squads are usually very effective at carrying the game from my experience
I join the bombers because I was grinding Germany and i was struggling to use the 109 against 3 f2g so it was either lose all my sl or join the bombers and get the f4f much faster the current situation is forcing people to go for bombers instead of fighters
I hate bomber players for the most part. They are wasted spaces on our team that rarely win matches. Ju288s are the worst out of all of them. Only weak men grind with bombers

I think I have like a 4:1 kdr in the Ju 288 C. Admittedly, the aircraft is a highly spammed aircraft. If I had to give a remedy though, I would buff bombers from other countries. I've tried to use other bombers like the b17, b26, and b25, but they all feel like lumbering piñatas that have their gunners shredded to bits before dying to a fire. Encourage players to use bombers from other countries by making them actually viable, and then these games with maxed bomber counts will be actually tolerable (as each side has more balanced bomber count), and as a side effect, bombers without radio cannon turrets that fly slower than my grandmother can walk and are bigger than Everest will be fun to play.

I had a 6v6 with 5 bombers, 4 were 288’s and one was an Arado. I’m pretty sure bombers are capped at 4, but I have a screencap of it somewhere

5:40 yeah they have been tweaking the matchmaker, I've gotten several pure A6M vs F8s F2s games, its quite nice.
You get so many fighters on your team ,like I usually get 2x do335s on my team if I'm flying any German 5.3+
The absolute worst is getting a small game with 8 total planes and you, in a K4, must take down 4 F2G's, 2 AU-1's, An F8F-1B, and a P-51H
