it's ADORABLEEE
+Adore McFaull hahahahahahahaha
+Adore McFaull I love his faaace! XD
omg I was just going to comment that!
Guys... "Europe" is not like a country...I'm Danish and Italy is just as foreign to me as it is to you... hell, Finland is just as foreign, and it's pretty damn close in culture and distance.
MaMastoast Yeah I live in Finland and Denmark is also quite foreign to me. Never been there, but would like to visit some day. I'm a finnish/swe, so basically my native languages are Swedish and Finnish, but that won't help me much in Denmark. ;) Thankfully most people know english.
DaisyDen Aaah I woudlnt say that. If you're in copenhagen some people understand swedish, and a knowledge of swedish will hep you with with danish :)
BUt yea, in copenhagen pretty much everyone speaks danish
MaMastoast Yeah, I do understand some danish, like some words that are similar to swedish. :)
DaisyDen Yea, its even easier with norwegian and danish because almost all words are the same, only pronounced/spelled slightly differently. Swedish however has a bunch of words that do not occour in danish or norwegian.
This is because norway was part of the danish kingdom for a long time I think.
They were on a tour through Europe and they were summarizing the entire experience.
I feel like small beds and showers without doors is just bad luck with hotels and have nothing to do with europe in general :')
:-D Totally. But on the other side, most American men are really tall(er than Europians), so maybe that's why they think the beds were small.
Actually, a new study shows that most Middle- and Northern Europeans are in general taller than Americans. Southern Europeans are much smaller though.
afhdfh I didn't know that. My experience shows the exact opposite, but ok, maybe they should make longer beds now around here, then. :-D
And yes, I'm kiiinda more to the south, so for my country that's probably the case.
true
In Southern Europe beds can be rather small, the people are generally way shorter than Northern Europeans as well (I know from experience, I’m Northern European, 1.80 m. tall and I have issues with those small hotelbeds!)
Mozart is definitely from Beijing.
Best comment ever!!
It just occurred to me, Scott's shirt... it looks like a grey monster is eating him and only his head is popping out the mouth. That's fucking brilliant.
Damien John I think it's supposed to be a shark. At least that's what I saw when I looked at it. :)
Damien John Yeah. If you look closely it's eye is on his nipple lol
the only problem with this is that you can't really compare europe to america because America is one country and europe is many different countries so not all things are the same in every country.... and I highly doubt that you have been in every single country in europe
if non Americans would actually take the time and study the US, they would find out that European countries are very similar to US States....the average US state population is the same or more than your average European country with only 9 European countries having more than any single US state.
:)
icynok I'm not talking about the population or the size. I mean that you can't talk about Europe as one country. Cause there are huge differences between the countries in it. I know that there can be big differences between the US states but US is still one country with one leader. So what I mean is that it would be better if superfruit compared US to the different countries they where in.
it would be the same if Europe was just 1 country with 1 leader (a Stockpile of different cultures and different accents joined together) but it isn't, and it was Italy and Germany they visited I believe, which would be like you and a friend visiting California than visiting New York.
I understand you are speaking out of a nationality view but try to view it from a couple of intelligent Americans' view that grew up knowing 50 different countries are united as one and visiting Europe that is similar but with 58(including micros) different leaders.
icynok I get what you mean. But you can still not talk about europe as one country.
oh no, i understand you can't consider Europe as 1 country but you can compare the US to Europe in a sense that it is Like European countries but united as 1
Scott: It's not a king, it's the size of like, a small queen.
Mitch: Well, ya, oh, like me!
Scott: Aha, yea like you!
Both: *Dies laughing*
Europe isn't one country? You can't say one thing is true for ALL of Europe.
JamieFailsAtGames I dont think that you can say that about USA aswell but I as European usually still do it so I dont mind if they do it aswell :D
They were touring Europe and they went to multiple countries and so this is them summarizing al of the countries they went to
U label all of Americans as fat all American cops as bad all American people rude and selfish all American people rich lazy and assholes, and america has more land mass than all of Europe and a bigger population of all of Europe u need to rethink that buddy
I never said any of that though. You tried to say that I was assuming, however you literally just assumed that yourself from the fact I'm European. When telling me not to generalise, you generalised yourself. Well done, that has been the dumbest comment I've seen all day.
JamieFailsAtGames given that 19/20 comments i see from british people are insults to American calling them "fat" or "stupid" I Kinda think they have the right to generalize at this point...
almost 100% positive mitch is the most beautiful human being to ever grace this earth
AMEN. He's adorable to the point you wish to consistently hug him and want to pay money so he can be your teddy bear.
Right after Scott that is ;)
PREACH
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Same
I like how every american thinks that every country in Europe are all the same. It's freaking 28 contries, and they are all different. You're so naive :(
AMEN!
That doesn't mean there can't be commonalities between some or all of them. Also, they're saying "While in Europe we've found these things to be different" so it's a list of things from everywhere.
I think they were being facetious. Give them a break.
True!!!
Honestly, I'm sure they are well aware every country is different. They're Americans, not imbeciles. They were just stating some common things they experienced all throughout Europe. Like someone said, just because every country is different, doesn't mean they can't share similarities. Don't get so offended easily, I've heard just as many generalizations about Americans come from the mouths of Europeans. We're all guilty of ignorance.
Actually Mozart is from Salzburg, Austria
I was just about to write that, too. :-D
I don't know where abouts you guys are but I live in London and we have doors on showers, trash cans everywhere, and convenience stores do have pretty much everything… and we don't have air con because it's cold and rainy
***** agreed
***** I think the same would be when Europeans think of America. Areas of America are vastly different, not only in culture, but in other ways too...and it's one country. This is also the same in Canada (where I live). I think it's safe to say this applies to any place where people live. :)
A country versus a continent?
They can't list of everywhere they have been it makes it easier for time consumption
ikr, talk about generalisation. There are 40+ european countries each with their own language and culture.. just sayin'
Onlinetill9 so you want them to do every european country one by one -.-
No, simply enjoy each individual country without generalising, that's all ^-^
America IS a continent. Are you dumb?
can't wait to have a friendship/relationship like scömiché. they have so many inside jokes and never fight and are so comfortable together !
when i went to america, i thought those food were HUGE, like big time. i was like, how the hell do people finish this?!?!?!
I'm american and I totally agree.
take away that is how it gets finished.
They don't half of it usually gets thrown out. My uncle works in a restaurant in New Jersey and they throw out dump trucks of food
that is terrifying and sad. no slight to your uncle though.
I am from Bosnia and Croatia and I find Franch or English portions fuckin small. Give me 1 kg of lamb meat and young onion and 2 l of wine and I am fine.
My shower has a door and I live in Europe😏
I´m in love with Scott
Please tour in Scandinavia next time around! I live in Norway, and I would love to see you live! :D
In Ireland we don't have air conditioning because its a very cold country and so we have heating 😋😋😋😋❤❤
We have both
Are rain faling whole the time in England. I heard that you have a lot of rain. We on the balkan dont have problem with rain. Greetings from Croatia
Yup! If someone has ac in their house its considered wierd and unnessisary
***** in Ireland right now its lashing
***** I live in Wales♥♥
I live in Europe and this is how i feel:1) We feel the same way over America,
2) For the best chocolate, GO to belgium!
From my experience. Best Part about Europe: The women are nicer and aren't as entitled as the women in the U.S. Worst Part about Europe: Having to pay to use the restroom. (Something that doesn't exist in America).
AlexanderKrah Yes, that's anoying, right? Everybody in europe hates that. But it's not always, is it?
+AlexanderKrah it's not in every place you pay for the restroom
I live in Poland.
AlexanderKrah The paying is mostly on highways and gas stations and stuf.... But in restaurants it's not often...
European countries are often very different to one another. Where I'm from (the Nordic region), we probably get just as easily confused when travelling south in Europe as an American would. :)
Yeah I remember in the states, after 2 weeks of take out I just wanted a salad or something with the color green in it. Finally found a place that served salad to go and when I sat down to eat it was just covered in so much sauce and dressing that it defeated the purpose.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, I loved the US, it was just challenging to find healthy take-out when I was on the go. :P
Oh well next time you order something be specific, because us Americans, go full out so yeah hope this helped- bye! :-)
And also, there is practically no healthy take out (at least not what i've experienced) so yeah.
Damien John Take out is never healthy... that's why it's take out and not restaurant food. Restaurants have lots of good food. Lol don't live off of take out.
Damien John Lots of restaurants are like "design your own meal" sort of places nowadays like subways and chipotle so there's that. Always healthy choices there.
Famantha sisher I wasn't living off take out, it's because I was constantly on the run for work. Subway and Chipotle are as much restaurants as McDonalds or KFC, they just offer healthier options ;P. The options are just much more limited over there is all. In Australia there's so many places that specifically offer healthy "take out", like Sumo salad, Zambrero's, Subway etc. In places like Sydney you can find privately-owned healthy food places on every other street. It was just way harder to find them in NY and LA.
I fall more and more in love with Mitch for every episode of Superfruit I watch. Sigh.
+Matilda Itzigehl me too! It's kinda depressing
Same >~< xd
Mitch's reaction to the lights turning off HAHAHA OH MY GOSH I STARTED CHOKING XD
it's a little weird that they talk about europe like it's only one country. In the country i live in (in europe) we have trashcans all over and we see the difference between still and sparkling water just to name a few. there is a big difference between the cultures and traditions and stuff of the different countries in europe. not "hating" at all!! i love Scott and Mitch but the way they talk about it like it's a country is weird to me. xo xo
I think it's because most Americans are not very well-educated about Europe and its/world's history (other than American history), in general. Most of them think of "Europe" as a bunch of countries (but not as much as there actually are), who are pretty much the same and that they are like France, England and Germany (I just randomly picked these; in other words "well-developed western countries"), considering social ways, art and architecture, economics and all that jazz that has to do with "first world" countries as a general rule.
Plus, USA is a big country which only has two others to share a border with (one of which has two official languages and one of them is the same as their national one - English; yes, I'm talkin about Canada, obviously). So Americans are used to a very different way of perceiving these kinds of things, that's why they find it "so strange" and "unusual", because to them IT really IS. It's funny to us, Europeans, that they don't get it, but it's pretty logical to be that way. ;-)
you're right. But sometimes i feel like we also see America as LA, NYC and The South and then all the other states/cities get forgotten or we just don't know that much about them i guess. it is very different from european culture so i understand that they think of europe as one because i don't really know that much about their culture/history either but i just needed to express it so americans don't laugh at us if we think of the whole country as one kind of people or one kind of culture because that's exactly what they do but just without really knowing :)
about the borders:
in scandinavia we also don't have a lot of borders and we can pretty much almost understand each other even though it's completely different countries (except Finland though. that's very different...) i think that's maybe because we at some point of history were united as one single kingdom.
Inas Olivia You probably thought I was starting an argument, but I don't, I agree with what you were saying, just decided to add to it with some of my thoughts and observations. ;-)
I actually believe I know more of the American history than most Americans know of European. And I don't even know THAT much, so it's really sad when you think about it, that they know so little (again - I'm not talking about "all" the Americans, just the majority).
About the borders - I wasn't talking about each European country but rather comparing the scales, because Europe is almost the size of the USA and they got only two other countries next to them, but here we've got 48 (or 51 if you count those countries that are half in Europe and half in Asia + Iceland), that are much more closer to each other and we have a longer history of interacting with each other, forming different alliances, etc. Not to mention how many differences we've got from culture to culture, all the languages and what not. That was what I was trying to point out here. ;-)
i'm sorry if it seemed like i thought you were arguing because i didn't :) i was just trying to add more to the conversation also. because i agree with what you say too. and i can totally relate to the thing about knowing more about their history than they know about ours. Maybe they should have world history instead of focusing so much on their own country? I don't know but i think it's a good idea :)
Inas Olivia Definitely! ;-) =thumbs up=
When the Light went out I Laughed too much at Mitch's reaction
2:25 Mitch's reaction 😂😂
I thought I was the only one
You're never the only one XD
+Tessa Zimmer that was too much!!! LOLOL ;) i can't wait for a meme to come out for that.
+Tessa Zimmer #phandom YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSss
+Tessa Zimmer I love him
I was thinking about superfruit like all day! Thank god theres a video
They make videos every tursday
Every Tuesday
im from germany and my shower has a door 😁
I am from Bosnia and I dont have curtain or door. every time I take a shower I flood the bathroom.
Melanie Beuster i am from Germany too
Where I live (Thuringia Germany) every shower has doors 😂
The ending of this video was the greatest. "I love eh you.." There it is!"
It's funny how I have the same opinion of America just the other way round. I'm European lol. I've been there like 7 times, one of them I was living for a year in California and out of my experience I felt:
- Air conditioning was to high (seriously I got sick)
- No trash cans in America!
- Dollars looked to me like monoply money aswell... haha I felt I had a lot of money in my poket when I really did not because 1 dollar is a bill while a euro is a coin so 8 dollars in bills versus 8 coins looked to me like a lot of money when it was not.
- No public restrooms, Actually Nothing is for free, even restrooms.
- Food Servings are too big and the quality is quite bad (I almost got angry that you can find the same dishes all over. It doesnt matter the restaurant you are in, food is almost the same.). Only exception is for "etnic food". That diverity was cool though.
- I was asking myself why all USA could not switch to celsius like the rest of the world! I got crazy figuring out miles and farenheit.
- I loved American Hotel beds. REALLY big and very comfortable. Here usually are small cause some hotel/hostels are quite small.because the buildings are old The atmosphere in US hotels is too old I think. I felt sometimes I was in the 60's or 70's. Im 24 btw.
- Too much cars, specially in Los Angeles. You need to use the car to even go buy bread.
- Public health is just another world. Altought is good, it was expensive while here is free.
- Service at restaurants was very fake. Altought good, it was annoying for me to have the waiter/waitress coming every single minute to ask if everything was ok, In Europe I will get your attention if I need something. Just serve the table that's it. I dont need anything else from a waiter/waitress.
- I loved the refill policy in almost every bar.
- I hated the alcohol policy. Quite weird for me and too exagerated. We have less alcoholism here were it is more legal than in the US. To drink you need to be 21 but to drive 16... haha
- I loved american working system. It allows you to get money quite fast and is quite easy to get a job or being fired. I really like the working system there.
- I liked diveristy there although the same wont work in Europe. Not only of people but of ways of thinking. Very liberal people with very conservative people. In Europe we dont have such extremes or at least not so much.
- Too much homeless. I saw too much social inequality. The state doesnt care about it citizens. I got that Impression. You could see very rich houses and very poor people. I haven't seen that much of a gap over here.
- America is good if you want to be an entrepeneur and open a new business.
- Públic administration was very slow. I needed almost a month to get my social security number.
- Americans are hard working people. I felt they were always working. It was true since they had a lot of bills. Specially college. Here college is free or at least not so expensive.
- Importance of Religion in America. Here religion does not apply. If someone tries to quote the bible or support creationism it would just be funny and people would look at you like crazy or would think you are joking. You would sound like someone from the 18th century. People here can be religious but not like in the US. I cant describe it haha
- Lots of handsome and cool people.Even though sometimes I felt boys where like gansters and girls a bit too slutty. But Americans are nice and talkative people.
This is out of my experience and of some of my European collegues in America who thought the same. althought it's hard to generalize since they are 300 million people.
I live in California, all restrooms I've ever seen are free... also there are trash cans everywhere :3 I'm in San Francisco btw, I'm not sure where u went
I was living in los Angeles for a year while visiting las Vegas several weekends. I have been living for a month in Boston and Hawaii plus also been for a couple of weeks to New York, 5 days in San Francisco and couple of days in Seattle and I have toured the midwest for 2 weeks (Phoenix, New Mexico, south of Colorado and south of Utah) and according to my experience thats the way I felt. Restrooms in America are for guest only and while on the gas station you had to pay to go.
In Europe depending on the country you have to pay them too (like in Belgium and the Netherlands, while in other countries such as Italy or Spain there are for free). It was hard to find trash cans when you where outside of the city center. Especially in a city like los Angeles where everything is made for cars not pedestrians.
You were probably eating at crappy restaurants. Go to like, a good restaurant such as (my definition of a good restaurant) the green flash in Sanibel island Florida, Gengis in Saginaw michigan, or Panda Express which is pretty much EVERYWHERE!!!
Panda express is a good restaurant???? lol I ate there and it was crap! And I've been to very fancy restaurants in the US btw... food is meeeh. I mean everybody knows US food is bad, The US use chemical products in the food that arent allowed in the EU. That makes the basic products taste weird or untasty. Compare it to France, Italy, Spain, Greece.... I mean no offense but quality of food is far greater over there. The US has great things but food is not one of them.
Sam Lea LOL, you had some good restaurants listed and then you ended with PE... wut.
I think it's hilarious that they are now obsessed with sparkling water.
mitch is my QUEEN
yes!!!! you know queen (freddie mercury) the singer from the 1900s should had been called king and mitch queen, the two awesome royalties :)
The trash, you take it home. Split it up. Like glass, plastic, etc etc. To recycle. Not mix it with other trash.
When they started talking about the metric system I started laughing because apparently there are only 3 countries in the world that doesn't use the metric system and one of them is the U.S. and they're system doesn't make any sense to me.
Im from Canada, and was in the states about a month ago. I found it SO weird that you could get wine/beer/coolers in the grocery store. Also american roads are very weird. You guys share 1 turning lane for both directions? To me thats an accident waiting to happen :p
I was in Great Falls, Montana and they were literally everywhere.
You are both being so polite! Thanx for good English!
The single turn lane may be more of a small town or a southern thing, I'm not sure. But I deal with it all the time, it's just something we get used to. As long as you watch the lines, arrows, and pay attention to oncoming drivers it's not really a big deal. I've seen two accidents from someone running a red light and none from a turn lane mix-up in the town I used to live.
I'm sure I'm not the first to mention it but they make adapters for plugs so you don't have to ruin your hairdryers and lights!
I felt like i was spending play money when I was in america, and I found having so many low value coins frustrating! Why is there a 1 cent coin? ridiculous!
Gas stations charge people 1/10 of a cent sometimes ( in addition to whatever it was, 3 or 4 $ in the first place ) I see signs a lot, like $3.78 3/10 for sometimes xD
Anne Moon There's no such thing as a 1/10 of a cent. One cent aka the Penny is the lowest/base form of U.S currency. $3.78 is really three dollars and seventy eight cents. one hundred cents equals a dollar. Honestly the reason why the penny still exists is because Americans like to get exact change and all those pennies and other coins add up after a while.
There is no physical 1/10 of a cent, you are correct on that. I also know how American money works, I've lived there all my life ( no disrespect intended ) gas stations are the only places that specify down to 1/10 of a cent, but they do.
So $3.78 3/10 is 3 dollars, 78 and 3/10 (of a cent) cents
ThunderChords and I like it because my boy Lincoln is on it :) freed (half) my people and kept the union together can't fault him for that
I love Scott's shirt.
Also I see so many post's about how beautiful Mitch is (which is of course true) but not nearly enough about how good looking Scott is... He is amazing. I just like looking at him.
I'm German and my heart started fluttering when you told me you love me/us ♥
I'm not German but I speak German and I was so happy the said they love us too
Haha same here ;D xx i was like omg hes speaking german O.M.G XD
2:25 mitch is the most amazing human being on the face of the planet
keep pressing 0 for shimmy loop
How is the metric system in Europe hard?!
- 1 milimeter = 0,01 meters
- 1 centimeter = 0,1 meters
- 1 decimeter = 0,1 meters
- 1 meter = 1 meter "obviously"
- 1 decameter = 10 meters
- 1 hectometer = 100 meters
- 1 kilometer = 1000 meters
No, Scott was saying that the way Americans measure things is hard.
They didn't say it was they said the metric state in North America was hard.
Kristina Cyr ops! My bad...
We do have doors on showers xD
wel´l it depends.... they are right about smaller hotels and basic bathrooms. if it's bigger/finer it has doors, if smaller and basic, it has just a curtain or nothing.
Bram Stultjens Ja, Ik zou het best raar vinden als dat niet zo is. Ik wil niet verwend klinken ofzo maarjaaaa.........
I love the fact that you enjoyed the historical and cultural aspects in Europe. :) This is like our big talent!
awwww i loved that german in the end. sounded good :D ich liebe euch!
What I didn't like about america:
If you don't have a car, you might as well STAY HOME
Walk, bike, get a taxi, call an uber
I disagree because if you were in San Francisco you see people ride their bikes walking and take transportation to work
Um... I've been to New York and it's the quite opposite. You might as well walk if it means getting to places
In Houston though, it's pretty much just like that. Our public transportation system sucks.
I love that you still take time to make weekly episodes during a tour. Thanks a ton!
"It's the size of a small queen."
"Haha.. you're right--like me!"
Lets face it...you dont know anything about europe! :D
they only stated what they experienced was different and fun
Totally agree.
They never said they knew everything about Europe....
OMG, who was freakin out too when they started talkin german? :oo
ICH LIEBE EUCH AUCH..
OOOOOMMMMMGG sooo süß :3 so fcute ;3
That sounds just so sweet! *-*
maybe in a few years, they will be able to talk in full german sentences :)) :D
&
Ich liebe euch auch ! ♥♥
I hope so :D lauter deutsche superfruitfans *o* kommt jemand zufälliger weise aus hessen? :D
Jonna Negroni ich bin aus oesterreich ;))
schreib grad auf einer auslaendischen tastatur, darum funktioniern die umlaute nicht allzu gut.. ;D
hahahaha okay cool :D
YAAAAAAS thanks for taking time out of your BUSY schedules to make a little something for us every week! Y'all are my heroes!! :)
Mitch's reaction when the light goes off 2:23 hahahahhahahhahhahhahhahhahaahhaaha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hes either saying noooooo! Or nowwwwwww
+ChloeAlyce i think he was saying nooooo but like nyyyyaaaoooooo
2:24
SUPERFRUIT Hey boys, I was at the show in Vienna, second row (right behind the VIPs).Thanks again for that awesome time. I had so much fun!
@Mitch My weekly obsession is you speaking German, because your pronounciation is SO GOOD. English native speakers usually have difficulties with the "ch"(like in 'ich' or 'euch') like Scott ;) But your 'Ich liebe euch' was perfect ;) made my day, so thanks Mitch :)
coming from england and going to europe the sparkling water thing bothered me so much. Also most places in Europe aren't hot enough all year round to have ACs, it wouldn't be used most times in the year and would be a economic loss so..
haha I think it's so funny that you say you're from england and you went to europe. isn't england a part of europe already? ;)
Co Rinne When the British refer to 'Europe' we just mean the mainland ^_^
Lol England is way different from the rest of Europe even though it's in it x
Well it's usually colder here, and tap water is actually safe (and nice) to drink.
Where exactly in Europe does this sparkling water phenomenon occur? This is the first I've heard of it.. and I'm actually from "the mainland" ^_^
I live in The Netherlands and went last summer to England and noticed too that there are no trashcans, we here have like 10 in a small park
Lol, in sweden there are frickin trashcans every where :P the door shower thing is mostly in hotels, which is where you've lived i think? :)
Can't stop replaying 2:24 lmao
omg yas
mitch's face- PRICELESS
the sound he makes ahahhaha
I've lived in the US for about 6 years now and I still can't get used to the serving sizes. They give you sooooo much food in most places that I can never finish it
But you know what is funny to me? I live in the US and what I notice is the place that gives me the most of a serving is Chinese restaurants?? They PIIIILE that stuff on!
Take that shit home! You get 2 meals!
Can you guys start adding what are you wearing (brands)? i love your style!
Lmao, I love Mitch's reaction when the light blew out. It made me think Wyatt got into something or some paranormal activity happened.
Your hair dryers broke because in Europe we use a higher voltage than in America, so you actually need an adapter. Also, the water pressure is higher here. There is no air conditioning because it's polluting the air. The food is more satiable because there are no flavor enhancers and preservatives in it. You have to pay for public bathrooms to pay the people who clean after you. :)
if you're paying the people who clean after you, i should be getting paid. The girls I share a bathroom with are so untidy!
all of that sounds... quite reasonable actually. i wish the US would follow suit
Preach it Aleks! Us Europeans gotta stick together :D
Ehm...except there’s air conditioning in almost every hotel, especially in Mid and Southern Europe. If you’re in a hotel without airco it’s a cheap hotel.
am I the one who watch 2:25 over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again?
That ending animation doe.
Mitch... That shirt... Is FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!
i've been to america once, to new york, and boy the airconditioning was extreme. outside it was super hot and when you got inside it was freezing.
what you do in europe to go to the restroom is you go to a restaurant (preferably fast food because it's faster), you order something to drink or a snack and then you go to the restroom there.
or if you don't want to buy something from the restaurant to go to bathroom most of the time you can just pay like a euro (at least in France) and you can go :)
I think everyone does that in europe! (at least in portugal)
dwinouse it's not common in the netherlands. as far as i know.
You guys will never eat Amarican chocolate again now. Once you've had the good stuff there's no going back. I'm glad you're having fun! ♥
Lol I wanna try
oh my gosh, mitch's german pronounciation is on point, i'm impressed
Awww, you guys are such typical American tourists haha, but I'm glad you embraced the culture. We 'europeans' don't tend to group ourselves together the way Americans do, as our countries and cultures are vastly different. Be sure to visit the UK lots more though! Long live Superfruit! XD xxx
LOL at 1:27 when Mitch starts to sing Partition and he's like yeah yeah, Scott's face is priceless!
The Beygency is after you Mitch! Lol jk
I know what you mean! I’ve been to Europe several times, mostly staying in people’s private homes. You mostly talked about England. I really enjoyed England, but it also drove me a little nuts. Terrible showers, and from my perspective, FREEZING! A wet cold that just cut through me. All I had to do was SEE the white cliffs of Dover, and I’d start to get sick. Since I was there to sing, this always did a number on my voice, which I HATED! More baths than showers. Spigots that don’t join together, so you have to deal with ice cold or boiling hot, you rarely get a mix. It was hard to find still water and even harder to find ice, and I am an ice junkie. The last time I was there, I brought a container of microwave popcorn from home. It was shocking to them - my friends had never experienced this before. I ended up leaving what was left to them because they loved it so much. I LOVE Cadbury chocolate. Chocolate made in the USA is awful by comparison to almost anywhere in Europe and Great Britain. I was there during Obama’s first election, and I wanted him to win so badly. I tried to stay awake for Election night, but I couldn’t. When my hosts woke me up the next morning, they had huge grins on their faces and said, “You have a new President!”! We did some sightseeing that day, and I felt like a celebrity! I had people hearing my accent and running up to me, all excited and asking if I was happy - they were thrilled for the US, and I basked in all the good feeling in the air. It was an amazing time.
The showers have no doors? Where the hell are you?
I'm living in Germany and our showers have doors or (more common) curtains. We don't swamp our bathrooms. :D
The a/c thing is something I've noticed when I was in the US. You have airconditioning everywhere! It was always a temperature shock walking out of an air-conditioned / cold building into the warm summer sun.
Seriously I know that there is no link with the video but I just find it so surreal to read comments from people all over the world, if you're reading this can you tell me from what country you're from?
I'm from Swedan;)
Originally, from Russia, but I live in Australia now! :)
Brasil!!
iceland :)
Germany :)
Replaying the part when the light goes out over and over again
same
Same xD
i miss wyatt like a lot
I feel like you're describing 1 hotel... I live in the UK and have been to numerous other European countries and, in the hotels I've been to, the beds are great and the showers have curtains...
omg i love the way scott goes fix the light thing and mitch was just sitting there being a queen
they are seriously adorable.
You can get a jug of water usually if you just say some tap water
The reason we dont have AC in most of Europe is because we dont need it.
yes if you don't grow up with AC's you will not sweat
You guys should follow Eurovision while you're there, drama guaranteed :P (It's going on this week)
I live Eurovision like so much
ich liebe euch auch! :)
ich auch :DD
Wir alle :D
ich auch *-*
Hello my lovely gents :) Here to shed a little light on why yours are exploding (excuse the pun) but here in EU (even though the British electric outputs are different to the rest of Europe) we have a stronger circuit for power, so your lights which aren't used to soo much power being pumped through explode.
When I went to America it took me 3 times as long to charge my phone and it normally did and I was thinking: WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG. Until I found out the reason, we EU lot are impatient and need things charged faster xD
True, when i went to Europe my phone charged so fast and i was like "yes! can i stay here forever?!" haha
^^^^^ x'DDD
I wonder why none of the differences between European electrical outlet output and output in the US. When I lived in Rome as a student, I always had the adaptors which prevented the blowouts. They were a bit pricey but worth it. I miss Europe and I would go back in a heart beat.
Mozart was an Austrian. :D
Morgan hatch Yes. But he became a Dictator in Germany and not in Austria. He is only born in Austria and they joined Germany later.
Yeah, he was born in Salzburg.
AUSTRIA..
***** Yeah. Thats right i am sorry for the bad explanation, but everybody here in my country say that he was an Austrian. Because now Salzburg is now a part of Austria and than, how you already said it he, went to vienna. And now both of these cities are here in Austria, so he was born in Austria in my mind.
b.preinfalk Austria forever. xD
Wait, you have free public bathrooms in America? O.o
Well yea...in every store and in public areas. I've never seen a restroom you had to pay for. Well, there was this one time I NEEDED to use the restroom at a mall, because I was about to piss myself, and I ran into a coffee shop and it had this electronic key pad and I had to buy something in order to get the pass code...which is fucking ridiculous, so I ran across the street to a public restroom and used that instead.
Well... I mean... Considering how much money it costs to keep a bathroom operating... It kind of makes sense, but I will agree with you there
Where I live in the States(Southern California), nearly all public bathrooms are free. Some examples are Starbucks, McDonald's, Target, shopping centres, etc. However, I have seen several places that only allow customers. Those places were lesser known, small and aren't everywhere like Starbucks.
xD I've never seen a "pay bathroom" in America lol when I went to Europe I was like wtf this a pay bathroom?!
I lived in America for 7 years, and i visited europe for a couple of weeks. I honestly had no problem with paid bathrooms. To me they make sense because of how much money restaurants spend on water for restrooms
Oh my gosh you both are right on on on everything you shared! I went to Spain and Italy and the beds were small and hard; the shower only had half a door, no public trash cans and the weird restaurant water that you have to pay. Love you guys!
It's so nice when they speak german
Mitch: "NAAAAWH" XD
OMG PAUSE UT AT 2:25!! Mitch's Facial Expression is Gold!
idk if it's just me, but Scott's style is SO stylisssh & amazing, seriously.
I can't believe there are almost no comments on the starfish sexual position banter that's going on at 1:15. That part made me crack up so bad!!!
Their reactions to the lights going out at 2:25 is adorable I watched it about three times over again
Some of the complaints are just stupid and clearly show they are unused to travel. 'The money isn't worth the same amount' & 'the money looks different'. Yeah, that describes any country's currency. Those same points apply to anyone traveling to America, so it's not a very valid 'difference'. 'The appliances don't work on European plugs', shows a lack of understanding of how electricity works. Appliances built for use in North America are designed to operate on 110-120VAC (Volts Alternating Current). Most of the world, however, operates on 220-240VAC. When traveling overseas, it is important to convert the voltage to match your appliance’s voltage requirement. Failure to do so could severely damage or destroy your appliance. I remember being taught this when I was 13yrs old...
They don't teach that sort of stuff in the US.
And they're just saying the differences between the two parts of the world. Of course the money looks different. They need some time getting used to the conversions and stuff.
Even so, money actually ISN'T worth the same amount in Europe as it is in America. Some things in America you can get for cheap or free whereas in Europe you'd have to pay for them (e.g. restrooms, China-produced goods). Some things go the other way, though. Education and travel is a lot cheaper in Europe.
Most people who don't live here simply don't realize that we can travel 2,000 miles and still be in the same country; in Europe one can drive through several different countries and still travel less than we have to when we go to the seashore...and from one end to the other we can make ourselves understood in one language, use the same appliances and the same money. We don't have the level of sophistication that Europeans do because we can't take the bus or the ferry and visit another country (except in the states along our borders.) Most U.S. citizens have never crossed a border in their lives and will never need to.
Mozart was born in Salzburg! Come on, I thought you were music nerds!
look, not everything in Europe is the same. did you know we actually have a lot of different countries in Europe? in every country everything is different.
but YAAAS CHOCOLATE
Lol you do realize that they traveled all over Europe and we're just making a generalization.
+Ambertsj uhm... did you have to be shady? lmfao. "stupid americans don't know anything" much? they were making a generalization. chill
Actually theres this thing called eurovision song contest and i think u would like it alot :3
