    Thank you for the huge boost in subscriptions. I certainly don't give the best advice but I will try my best to document my modifications so you can do the same to your bike. The Air Box Mod resulted in a huge jump in main jet and the bike pulls so much harder now! This is by far the cheapest yet the best mod I've done to the bike. A perfect complement to the Leo Vince ZXR exhaust. And the best part of this mod is that I can tune my bike on the fly taking into factor temperature, weather, location, and altitude. Watch the video and let me know what you think. With the new setup, this bike should hit 90kmh (55mph) in a hurry unlike my Honda Ruckus! Stay tuned and subscribe!
    Think of engines as an air pump. The more air you can get into the combustion chamber, the more power there is available - with the proper fuel mixture. Our previous modifications showed you how to allow the engine to suck in more air per stroke while the expansion chamber in the exhaust works to keep that air fuel mixture inside the chamber from escaping. Obviously, this power will come at the sacrifice of more noise, poorer fuel mileage, and more engine wear. Therefore always modify your motorcycle at your own discretion based on your own needs. Check out my other videos in the meantime to make your 50cc scooter much more useful and fun to ride in the city!
    The 2005 Piaggio Typhoon equipped with the 49cc Hi-Per 2 Engine is now completely unrestricted and performs significantly better than stock for nearly no money. In the previous episodes we demonstrated that the scooter can perform much better with the brass restrictor removed from the Dellorto 17.5 PHVA Carburetor, unlike what others say about the brass restrictor being there to improve performance (which is FALSE). Now, with the bike completely tuned, we have installed the LEO VINCE ZX-R Exhaust. This exhaust is becoming extremely rare and difficult to purchase because it has been discontinued and replaced with the lower model LEO VINCE TT. In the previous episode, we showed you how to install the exhaust and first ride review. Most aftermarket tuning exhaust that comes from Europe has a restrictor installed to comply with government regulations. Their instruction manual states that performance improvements gained from removing the restrictor would render the exhaust illegal for public use. What's the point of getting an aftermarket pipe only to restrict it's performance? With the restrictor removed, we installed the exhaust and showed you one final trick up our sleeves to unleash as much power out of the stock engine as possible before making any extensive engine modifications.
    Hope you find this video helpful and please like & subscribe for further scooter tuning videos!
    If you want your bike to bury the speedo needle like ours did in Episode 1, subscribe and stay tuned for future episodes. We will show you how to destrict the bike from factory, install the Leo Vince ZXR exhaust, open up the intake, and modify the transmission. Come along with us as we transform this little 50cc scooter from a slow and boring bike to a fast and peppy machine that will do circles around traffic!
    Other bikes that shares the same platform/engine includes Vespa, Piaggio, Aprilia, Peugot, Gilera, TPH, Typhoon, LT50, LX50, ET50, Scarabeo, Stalker, Zip, Fly, etc.

    riding a little rich is better than running lean. rich means cooler combustion, lower chance of overheating, especially for your air cooled engine?

    • @FIFTYmil
      @FIFTYmil  8 років тому +1

      Wilco Muurling that's the idea- running slightly richer for engine longevity especially when I will be tuning the transmission at 9k+ rpm! Good advice

    You gotta tuck that tack wire. Sooner or later you are gonna catch it with your foot and trip or RIP it out.

      Not a problem so far but yes, if you plan not to tune the bike for a while I would just remove the tachometer completely.

    My bike runs too lean after putting holes in air box, and I don't have a air/fuel mixture screw on my carb for some reason. So is there a way to put more fuel into the engine?

    • @FIFTYmil
      @FIFTYmil  7 років тому

      The air/fuel mix screw may sometimes be covered by a brass cap or is in the form of an odd shape screw. On my Honda Ruckus the screw was D-shaped and required a special tool (or grinding a slot into the screw so a flat blade screwdriver can be used).
      Regardless, you would probably need to increase your main jet and adjust your needle position (if it has one) as I did. All of that MUST be done in order to provide more fuel for more air. If none of that is available to you, it might be wiser to cover up back the holes with tape for now and adjust accordingly - as some times bike run lean or rich from the factory depending on how humid, how hot, and how high you live above sea level, etc.

    Hi, I have a piaggio zip. The acceleration is decent (would be better with lighter rollers) but When it hits roughly 46mph is starts to bog down does that mean its using too much petrol?

    • @FIFTYmil
      @FIFTYmil  7 років тому

      Elliot _ can you describe bogging down? What rpm does it operate at during acceleration and what rpm does it operate when it is bogging down? Typically if you have good acceleration that should equate good engine performance and fueling. Speed does not affect jetting

    also when you pulled up that main road, you could hear a ''dip'' in RPM, try slightly lighter roller weights to prevent that small dip. i suggest going0,2-0,4 grams lighter

      I've heard as much bad things about giannelli as leo vince on forums. I tend to associate these negative experiences with improper installation/tuning. However, I don't have any experience with Gianelli exhausts. What is not good about the leo vince zxr? Can you be more specific?

      FIFTYmil You can buy better exhaust (sorry for my bad English) i buyed The zxr for 120€ , 2 months later i got An Arrow and it was a lot faster and i felt it went better than the zxr

      tony conigliaro No worries! Your english is perfect. I bought the ZXR for about $180CAD and it came with lighter roller weights, springs, etc.
      How fast are you going with an Arrow exhaust?

    • @bravottr
      @bravottr 8 років тому

      With the zxr i did 94kmh, with arrow i did 107kmh. Now i have top 2 plus so i cant keep them so im passing to Giannelli for now. Thoese speeds where when i was 100€ original, only exhaust. Zxr 120€ , arrow 120€ and Giannelli 140€ , i dont know prices in $/£

      @@filippocunsolo6764 No that would not work for everybody. In fact, what angel suggest doing is restrict air flow into the engine which results in less total horsepower available. You can make a 49cc faster by following the documented series on my channel with very affordable modifications that is less than $50.

    nice mod Bro. would this airbox mod work on a piaggio 300 4 stroke engine ?

    • @FIFTYmil
      @FIFTYmil  7 років тому

      Is the piaggio 300 fuel injected?

    • @kryptonitefitness
      @kryptonitefitness 7 років тому

      FIFTYmil yeah it's a fuel injected 300 x7 evo . bike works smooth but it's a bit boring on the Pep side. would be nice to get a bit more acceleration. I also came across a few videos of people rwmoving this washer in the variatior that gives a increase but most of the Mod Videos are done on small 50cc and 2 stroke engines . I'm just wondering if they work the same on the bigger 4 stroke bikes . any advice will be much apreciated .

    • @FIFTYmil
      @FIFTYmil  7 років тому +1

      Every bike is different. The washer is a restrictor only found a certain models of scooters and not every scooter has them. The airbox mod should work for every model bike but you are limited by the maximum amount of fuel that is delivered by the fuel injectors (versus carburetor which has a larger selection of jets or a complete carburetor change).
      The good thing about the airbox mod is if you have exceeded your fuel injector's capacity you can always revert one step back based on the number of holes you cover with tape.
      Finally if you want a bit more acceleration, depending on where your maximum horsepower RPM is, you can tune roller weights for the bike to be a bit more engage and fun.

    • @kryptonitefitness
      @kryptonitefitness 7 років тому +1

      FIFTYmil thanks Bro . I was looking at getting a malossi variator kit as someone told me.that by changing the roller weight you either gain acceleration but loose top end or vice versa.

    • @FIFTYmil
      @FIFTYmil  7 років тому

      As you can see demonstrated with proof in my videos, that is not true. There's only one roller weight for maximum performance (max accel/top speed) and one roller weight combination for maximum fuel economy. Everything else is on a spectrum between those two extremes.
