Dora , thank you sooooo much for sharing your educated knowledge with us all. Love watching your videos. Easy to understand and follow and love how you get straight to the point using short videos
I know this took a long time to make and you made it so easy to understand and so pretty at the same time! As a beginner bath bomb maker, this video has been most helpful! Thank you so much!
I am so happy to have come across your channel. Thankyou so much fro this demonstration- it's fantastic! Previous bath bombs i've mde have been duds, but you explain everything so well. I'm excited to give it all another go x
I love love love your videos... I just had to comment! I come back over and over again just to make sure... Lol! I just made a batch of Bath Bombs for my sister using your techniques... And O my goodness... They turned out Fabulous! I will continue to come back and back again... Just wanted to say... Thanks!
This was fabulous. I liked your single ingredient test methodology and your scoring calculations and categorization of result types. I'm a new subscriber and have enjoyed all of your content I have seen so far. I find your videos understandable, approachable, and of course pretty and fun to watch.
I just found your channel 😩😩 I’m so glad I did you’ve saved me so much time and trials and errors !!! I just made soap now it’s time for bath bombs 🎉 thanks so much for you videos 😊

Yep it’s me again giving you major 👍🏻 as usual lol.....I so appreciate you for all your hard work, research & awesomeness! Amazing job my soul sistah. Always love getting a break away from my own concoctions & mad science experiments & just sit back & enjoy your videos. I’ve had some major humidity get to some of my salt cakes so they decided to grow & crawl out of their molds....it was kinda funny because they were supposed to be bears ( they ended up looking like some huge marshmallow michellan man)! 🙄
Always love hearing from you! Yeah girl, I get it! LA is a big sloppy swamp so I have the same issues... It's all good though! With this sort of thing, you can't win them all & stuff will go wrong. All you can do is learn from it & move on. Glad you liked the video!

Yaaay your back, I hope all is well over there. And as always your awsome, by the way I tried the lollipop bubble baths just having a hard time keeping the stick on it lol but its still awsome
Thanks so much. I usually buy people LUSH bombs for Christmas but it's so expensive. Next year I'm going to make them myself! I guess I have a year to practice.
@Creative Bath Lab Ma'am your video is amazing so you are! Ma'am I would like to ask, what do you prefer most, what do you think is the best to use among all?
Thank you so much for uploading these! I wouldn't have thought to try gelatin powder or the gums. Do they leave a film or solid bits? And would you need to multiply the measurements by how much is in each batch? Also, are these tested by themselves or with the base batch that has poly 80? Thank you!
Great questions - The batch that I made them from did contain a bit of poly (recipe in description). Sodium alginate/x gum/guar gum left a bit of jelly foam. But all the jelly foam dissolves eventually. The meringue did have some little bits of color that was left.... But, I'm not sure if that was from the color itself though.
@@CreativeBathLab Is it safe to say that the gelatin didn't add much fizz, foam, or jelly, then, if there was already poly 80 in the batch? It's so easy to find locally that I want gelatin to be an awesome one. 😂 Thanks again for making this video--these are SOOO helpful
@@minervamaximilian1923 absolutely not! The guar gum, and Knox gelatin helped give the poly a boost. Safe to say that without the gum, or gelatin, the poly would be useful at its normal capacity. Which isn't bad but also not the best.
can u pls try the decyl glucoside and coco glucoside bath bomb? i really love how the bomb looks composed while dissolving in the water from each side, plus the lather and foam r exquisite. would really enjoy that
Hello Dora, I’ve said it before you are the queen of bath bomb making. I need help, I have a 4 yr old grandson and he loves bubbles which recipe can you tell me to make so I can make bath bombs for him. I really appreciate your help in this. Ty so much
Hello. Your video's are great, thank you. I want to ask please as I have done some research on the use of polysorbate 80 and have decided I don't want to use it because it contains Palm Oil and the farming practices of Palm Oil is highly controversial. I have discovered that sodium cocoyl isethionate is a product that can be used in it's place. Have you ever used or tried this product in place of Polysorbate 80? Thank you!
Thank you so much for your videos. I’m new at this and plan to test myself . I watched this video and the first part , But I was a little confused as to what ingredients can be used for the interior and exterior of the bath bomb . I liked the look of the guar gum and Knox gelatin but was confused if it went in the interior or exterior of the bath bomb if that makes sense. Thanks a bunch .
U can use any ingredient for inside or outside it just depends on what you want. these videos are simply to demonstrate which ingredients cause which reactions. but I suggest any ingredient that makes a slow foamy or lathery reaction should go on the outside any ingredient that’s very vigorous bubbly and fizzy should go on the inside, but again this is up to you
I suck at math but based on the ingredient list if I wanted to use the guar gum as my ingredient and wanted to use the recipe listed above in the description how much would I add instead of just making one individual bomb at a time? I hope this isn’t a stupid question but I’d like to just make a whole batch of this and see if I like this better as a recipe versus the other one that I have used.
Hi, great experiment and thank you so much for sharing, you are the best. I will use your recipe and I will test to see what I like more :). The specific ingredients will be: Xanthan/ Guar/Coco Betaine/ Coco Glucoside. For dry ingredients is not clear for me how many grams means ½ tsp (your model). Could you please help me? Thank a lot!
Hi Dora! On your chart what is that one added with the Guar gum? "Guar Gum + COTx2?" I can't seem recall an ingredients that starts with COT. Thank you!
I wish I had rewatched this tutorial before making bombs today...I need to cut back on the SLSA and corn starch...The bombs I make are good but they are kind of lackluster after the first minute!!!
I know this video is now a year old but I hope you see this comment. This is the most informative short video I’ve watched on this subject I have a little knowledge on formulating and I was wondering how other powders would work in the bath bomb, considering no one else has videos about it. You don’t understand how important this video is to me. 💜💜💜
Hi, I'm a new subscriber to your channel and loving your videos! thank you for generously sharing your knowledge :) I'm wondering if there is any way to help speed up the drying time - like putting the bombs in a warm (but not hot) oven? learning so much from you and can't wait for my ingredients to arrive so I can start making my first batch!
So happy to have you! Yes, that or dehydrate them. HOWEVER, cure the bombs at least 24 hours BEFORE moving them or drying them out! They are fragile during this time & if you up & move them anywhere, they might break!
