Good point. I know a few guys that have been ruining the bronze bushing for several years without an issue so I’m not too worried about that aspect. The plastic bushing is also thin and hard, so probably not as much shock absorption as one would think. I think it’s just to keep from wearing that pivot point more than anything. i like your idea. I might make one for my gmd 800. The plastic one works like a shock. You might go to busting the cast housings just a thought.
