How To Fix (Permanent) A Kuhn Hay Mower Pivot Bushing

Repairing the gear box pivot point a Kuhn GMD 700 GII HD style hay mower. This would work on a John Deere 275 as well. Replacing the pivot point bushing with a permanent solution!

i like your idea. I might make one for my gmd 800. The plastic one works like a shock. You might go to busting the cast housings just a thought.

Good point. I know a few guys that have been ruining the bronze bushing for several years without an issue so I’m not too worried about that aspect. The plastic bushing is also thin and hard, so probably not as much shock absorption as one would think. I think it’s just to keep from wearing that pivot point more than anything. But it’s on now so we’ll see how it works out in the long run. Thanks for watching and the comment.
