Wait, Grafton, MA has a THUNDERBOLT?! Niiice!! Sucks that the FS Model 7 at the fire station near my house doesn't work anymore, would love to hear a fire siren once again!
I thought that it was interesting that whoever activated the siren didn't put the siren in 'Attack' (wavering mode). Maybe they pushed the 'alert' button, waited for a few seconds and then pressed the cancel button.
imo I think the siren either had its agastat timing deliberately lowered or the station just wired it so that the blower and rotator would immediately stop upon the chopper being unpowered. Likely to make the sound distinct. I could be wrong though...
Rural Germany (in most parts:) BOTH! Gets fun every time in my atrea, cuz here, if one siren goes off for a live call-out, nearly the entire municipality goes off, usually though more like 4 or 5 stations.
That's gotta be the oddest attack signal sequence I've ever heard. Was there something wrong with the control box? Because I'm pretty sure that the blower and rotator aren't supposed to cut out like that.
Message to the whiners who think the siren is unnecessary: if it offends you that badly, you may personally pay for the Motorola pagers for every person involved as well as the ongoing service costs or SHUT UP!

Wait..........A single tone 1003? Why would they convert a siren capable of high low into a single tone siren?? Now they can't use the solenoids. Seems like a stupid choice because the whole point of a 1003 is to use it as a fire siren because it can do coded signals like High Low
They have a THUNDERBOLT as their house siren? Now that's impressive.
Yeah, three stations all three have the same I believe. Don’t use it overnight, just during daylight hours.

8/9 port thunderbolt 1003
Not to be a karen but How are these firefighters not getting hearing loss? The rating on this thunderbolt is 126 dB at 100 Feet!
It seems like the blower cuts out just a second after the siren winds down, so they won't be subjected to the sound for very long.
It’s a Thunderbolt 1000 which is actually 128dB at 100 feet with a 4M blower. The 126dB rating was with a 1000T
@@SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL it's a 1003, you can see the solenoid boxes
